GEJ of all people,
* 15 thousand lost their one and only life. * 2 million were displaced * 18 died in immigration recruitment after a total sum of 520 million naira was collected from Jobless youth * $20 billion oil fund was missing * You and I struggle to buy petrol at high prices and the subsidy fund on it was missing. * Over 2000 was abducted by BH, including the Chibok girls. * Oil reserve was drained by 50%
The list is endless, are you normal at all? If one of your family member was included in the listed dealth toll, you won't be spewing trash.
Can you defined Cluelessness? Cluelessness is you, GEJ and all his supporters.
God almighty will govern your life the same way GEJ governed Nigeria. Pls say Amen. These insult of yours does nothing to deviate from a globally recognizable fact Yar' adua is the weakest and the most clueless president Nigeria ever produced, just point to one thing, just one thing that he achieved in two and a half years apart from bribing militants? |

This man's tenure heralded the beginning of cluelessness in Nigeria's government. GEJ is 100 times better than him, he was never in charge for a single day, the mafia reigned supreme, he was busy reversing everything reversible without starting anything meaningful except bribing aggrieved militants.
His war against anti corruption was legendary, banishing Ribadu into exile while making Ibori his strongest ally......May we never as a nation be bedeviled by his likes again. Amen |

Watch how industry, trade and commerce will just go off the chain in that region What about the ports at warri, onne, Calabar and Port Harcourt? Those ones are not game changers it is Ibaka that will be the game changer? Even the dry port at Onitsha has been comatose since 1982 when it was first commisoned by shagari, GEJ recommisined it in 2012 and it still remains comatose. |

We need to duversify our revenue generation profile as quickly as possible and the only way to achieve that its by increasing our revenue to gdp ratio just like NOI has said |

fkaz: I thought Onitsha river port was commission by president Goodluck Jonathan
Onitsha River Port Begins Operation 01 Sep 2012 President Goodluck Jonathan By John Iwori Following its formal commissioning by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Thursday, the multi-billion Onitsha River Port Complex, Anambra State has begun operations. Various cargo handling equipment were seen in operations as the euphoria that heralded the formal commissioning of the Onitsha River Port Complex ebbed with the departure of guests to the venues of other projects earmarked for commissioning The formal unveiling of the Onitsha River Port Complex, which is located in the commercial nerve centre of the Eastern part of the country, followed its complete rehabilitation by the Federal Government. While performing the cutting of tape ceremony, President Jonathan said the N4.6 billion River Port was unique and a signal for more things to come. It was initially commisioned by the Shagari administration, Goodluck simply recommisioned as i type full operations are yet to commence |

I'll be saving millions if I clear in Lagos and still sell my wares here. Ok now i understand you, there must be a cogent reason why it cost 2ce as much to clear goods @ Onne than Lagos but i dont know the reason |
Politics › Re: We Need Seaports In The SE/SS by huptin(m): 11:51am On Apr 13, 2015 |
redcap: Why is it that clearing goods at onne port is twice the price of tincan/apapa port.Lagos port has too much incentives from FG these are the only reasons am still in Lagos tbh. Like i said earlier....the location of Lagos, particularly its proximity to industries is the key. However if your business is in the east and you clear your goods at Onne even if it is at twice the price i think it can still be profitable since you will be spending less on transport compared with goods cleared at Lagos ports then transported to the east. |
Politics › Re: We Need Seaports In The SE/SS by huptin(m): 11:13am On Apr 13, 2015 |
kodded: IS IT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY ? ...........IS IT UP TO LAGOS STATE SEAPORT STANDARD ?
MODIFIED: trust me when large cargo ships start coming in to those seaports in se and ss ....... lagos will be forgotten How can Larger cargo ships start coming there if you people dont use them? You want more ports yet the ones that you have are rarely used. The reason the Lagos port is being mostly used is because of the proximity to industries. So if you want the ports in SE and SS to be viable you will have to site industries there first and then start using them. For your information more ports are on their way in Lekki, Badagry, Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom, sorry to disappoint you none is in the east because the Onitsha river port commisioned by Shagari was never viable from day one infact it was abandoned almost immediately. GEJ promised to resuscitate but i guess he abandoned it for the more politically expedient 2nd river Niger bridge. |
Politics › Re: We Need Seaports In The SE/SS by huptin(m): 11:07am On Apr 13, 2015 |
EUROBOMBER: Why are they not being used? I actually searched google and the major reason adduced for their unviability is the lack of industries in the SE and SS to service them. They are very rarely used almost 90% of goods come into Nigeria through Lagos ports. |

Biko start your bombing in time....it doesnt concern Lagos we simply increase our taxes on your businesses and also increase the taxes on your goods that comes in through our ports.....you lose in both ways...pollute your land, reduce your income and of course you pay more tax....Thaz all.
By the way, millitants were bombing when OBJ made enough money to pay Nigerias debt and even left huge money in reserves.... millitants were not bombng when GEJ took more debts and depleted the reserves.... if you ask me i think i prefer the bombing period. |

uzolexis: Nigeria of course n it's their oil money that is used 2 develop ur so called yoruba land wc is a part of Nigeria. Once again you are wrong..... without Niger Delta revenues from port and Value added tax generated from my region is enough to develop it better than it is now. Before oil exploration started in Nigeria my region's economy was one of the fastest growing in the world, with rapid industrialisation and a vibrant agriculture system. What your oil has done is to bring in all manners of people to over populate my region, while paying my region peanuts from the proceeds of oil.... heck Lagos state still has to source more than half of its revenue internally while the oil states enjoy their booty and most of their indigenes are making their abode in my region. To cap it all ...Ondo state produces more oil than the whole of south east. |

ILIDEFI: So 14th century is 4000 years before Nigeria's amalgamation? So much for the quality of education these days.
Now let me ask you, how come no other south western state is a tenth as economically viable as Lagos? Why are all other Yoruba states as poor as they are and less economically viable than their south eastern counterparts? Take Lagos away from the south west for a moment and see how poor the Yoruba region is. You are very wrong sir....Ogun state now has more industries than Lagos.....we dont indulge in chest beating we build world class cities. |

chidooh1: The ports ur talking about were built with oil money. The place u call ur land was developed with oil money .The people u claim that make billions from ur land are the same people that stabilize ur economy and bring good life/progress to ur land. So, why won't u be grateful for just once in ur life. The ports existed hundreds of years before the first drop of oil was found in Naija Delta and they will continue existing long after the oil has become as worthless as pure water. Its not for nothing that the british made Lagos their abode. You really need to dust your books and read more often leaving your life based on myths and hearsays is not gonna help your life. |
