I don't want to believe you graduated with 2:1 because your English is still like that of pass .
Personally I'm a living testimony to reading and graduating with less grade. After my project I compute my CGPA to be 4:14 but my school leta gave me 3:83 ESUT. now imagine if Initially was within the range of 3:6-3:7 and that kind of incident happen .
Also most students back then didn't make 2:1 not because they don't read hard but because of hard luck my close friend Johnson uwale is a victim. As an Engineering students johnson stand tall ahead of me when it comes to what we possess upstairs but he end up leaving school with 2:2.
Your grammar fails miserably to corroborate the above assertion sir.....Too many Gbagauns.

Yet ogun state is owing salaries and most SE states are not.
There is more poverty and unemployment in the SW than the SE.
For a region that houses the most industrious and technically-inclined people in africa your post is pretty insulting.
This was the same way you guys said that Osun has a bigger IGR than the whole of the SE until when the truth now came to light.
One day, breeze go blow and fowl yansh go open.
Keep deceiving your self.
Did i hear you say most SE states are not? Abia=10months, Ebonyi= 8 months, Imo=5 months, Enugu (owing all its parastatals 10 months salary)
So where did you get your statistics from? By the way those people who are not being paid salaries are probably in the south west, hawking gala or selling bend down select to survive.

Ask your self a question in terms of revenue, how much exactly does the SE contribute to Nigeria? How much is it getting from The Federal government?
Dont mention oil o, cos the amount of oil in the SE is not even as much as that of Ondo alone, now the south west does not only contirbute oil, they account for about 80% of total non oil revenue, and their land is the industrial and commercial nerve centre of the whole country, yet they can't even get 13% of the total revenue they generate? What is good for the goose is good for the gander, If the SS gets 13% of their total oil earnings despite the fact that a huge chunk of their cistizens are in lagos, putting pressure on Lagos infratructure, Then Lagos should retain a huge chunk of its ports and VAT earnings. That is justice.

Tin Can was built from the ground by Obasanjo in 1979.

Go and research all the major infrastructure in Lagos from Ports, bridges, roads, airport, stadium, and Festac estate and National theatre they were all built by Murtula and Obasanjo after Oil was Nationalized.

As for you ediots claiming that you and the north developed our oil industry simply go and reserach the oil industry in Nigeria which was funded by Multi National companies.

Stop beating your flat dry chest.
As at 1979, oil contributed less than 50% to government's total revenue, so how did you come up with the notion that it was oil money that was used to build the ports? once again i ask you, are your saying revenue generated from ports cannot be used to build new ones and expand the exisiting ones? You over rate your importance to the economy, but i assureyou that your government can never under estimate the importance of Lagos to the survival of the country, you remember the oil subsidy protests and how Goodluck was almost shitting in his pants just becos lagos was partially shut down for one week, imagine a total blockade of the Lagos ports, you people will have to drink your oyel to survive.

Once again i will say this and please you may write it down "Lagos ports will still be in existence and will be generating more revenue long after your Oyel has become totally as worthless as pure water" #fact.

In case you forgot, your fellow parasitic Yoruba OP is demanding for more oyel money.

Lazy thief
He is not demanding for more oil money, he is demanding a fair share of revenue derived from his region, simple. Oyel money can barely feed the south south talk less of the whole nation. Akwa Ibom the richest oil state can not even afford to pay salries, have you ever heard lagos complain, despite receiving less than 2% of total revenue generated from there?

No. The other ports are not viable because of negative govt policies

Warri port for example only handles services to the Oil industry and is not as a matter of policy allowed to handle other goods.

This is the case for Koko, Port Harcourt and Calabar ports.

Govt policy is what is affecting these ports and has nothing to do with your packaging industries in Osun and Oyo.

Can you compare the level of local industries in Aba which manufactures clothing, shoes and heavy industrial parts to your indomie packaging firms in the Southwest.

Shey you are aware of Innosun motors which has been in existence before Goodluck convinced Nissan to start an assembly plant in your useless region.
You call multi national firms packaging industries, I laff in japanese, so its only Innoson you can shout, if there are no industries here, how come your people were crying when some touts asked them to leave? they should have gone back now and enjoy your wonderful industries in your region. Only Agbara in Ogun state alone has 5 times more industries than the whole of south east.

Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Cross Rivers have a total combined longer coastline than your region.

Do you think they will not develop their maritime sector to compete with you?

You have nothing.

Tin Can Port was built from the ground and
commissioned in 1979 with our oil money.

Wharf in Apapa was expanded and upgraded in the 70's with our oil money.
Stop beating that flat dry chest
If they have the lingest coastline why are their ports moribund? Tin can was built with oil money? Where is the evidence, are you saying revenue from ports can not sustain port expansion?
Ok how much did the Niger Delta invest in oil exploration? Didn't the north claim that they are the major investors in oil exploration in the Niger Delta?

I am happy to beat my chest, if you beat your chest because oil is located in your land, i should beat my chest that my state is the industrial and commercial back bone of Nigeria. Shut down Lagos for a week and watch Nigeria haemorage uncontrallably.

We are talking about Nigeria not lot of developed countries!!!! Nigerian economy is all about oil revenues that is why the fall in oil prices is making hunger to deal with people in osun and oyo.If ports and VAT revenues were as much as you said, the effect of the fall in oil prices would not be that noticeable
Nigeria VAT rate is currently the lowest in the world, if this government embark on aggressive tax reforms, revenue from taxes and import duties will dwarf oil revenue. Oil has done more harm than good to the economy, taxes are a more sustainable way of developing the economy.

Going by your argument, more sea port should be created from PH, Calabar etc for import and export of petroleum product so that Lagos will keep her 100% port and VAT revenue .
No need to create more ports, they are already in existence all you need to do is make them more functional, simple. It will become clear to you that building ports is easy attracting requisite business is the real deal.

Lagos ports is viable because of its proximity to industries, if those ports must function you will need to industrialise the south south first. Oyel is over rated. It will soin become clear to you.

Oil money has not even been withdrawn and osun and Oyo are already dying of hunger. I wonder what will happen when the oil revenues are totally withdrawn
If oil revenue is removed, then 100% VAT and port revenue will be retained in the south west, there fore OYO and Osun will be getting at least 5 times more money than they are currently getting. Savvy?

Thats to show you who is gonna cry, the truth is those ports will still be functional and generating revenue years after your oyel has become totally worthless.

Who patronizes the Lagos Sea Port? = SE traders.(Igbo traders)
Niger Delter oil is traded through Lagos Sea Port . is Igbo traders that use this port for business and the Niger Delter oil that is being ship through their state cannot pay salary again tell me what will happen if oil production is reduce to zero jet they keep on boasting instead of accepting the fact that they are lazy parasite, it is very clear that the Igbo’s can survive without oil but Yoruba and Hausa cannot
You are wrong oil is mainly exoorted through port harcourt and warri ports, Lagos handles mainly oil imports for domestic consumption, now it i clearly obvious that the south west will survive and live well without your oyel after all the total allocation that the south west receives as allocation is less than 10% of the total revenue generated from the west, let me ask a question how much exactly does the south east contribute to the federal pool? How much do they get? An answer to that question will clearly reveal who the parasites are.

Ports and VAT revenue alone dwarfs the revenue from oyel.

Those ones are used for what?

You people are delusional....Lagos should also ask for 100% share of its VAT and port revenue, if you dont like it go and use your Oyel to develop your ports and your region nobody begged you to use Lagos ports...shikena.

They should not have to share with anyone.
Then Lagos too should get 100% of its ports and VAT revenue and then heavily tax every non lagosian currently utilising its infrastructure. Simple. Lets see who will be richer.

All these fake statistics u keep posting to keep your self happy means nothing. The reality is that the south east is by far the least developed region in Nigeria, was it not just 2 years ago that the first international airport started operating in the east? Do you have a sea or even river port? Again how many standard universities do you have? How many industries? How many good and motorable roads?

You think a place is developed because of a few mansions being built here and there in the bush? Face the east and stop posting fake statistics to make your self happy, that was exactly the way Okonjo Iweala was busy posting stupid statistics while the nation was sinking, while in reality, she has been borrowing money to pay salaries.

ur problem has less to doonathan than SE...#fact#

10)Your problem is within...
Abia and Imo do not owe partially, they owe in total, in the south west only Osun is really bad.

You mentioned American businesses in Nigeria, yes they are businesses not the whole american citizenry, how many Americans stay outside American, even the chinese what is the proportion of the chinese outside China to the one in China?

Bros if about 50% of a group has to migrate outside their domain to survive, it can only mean one thing, the region lacks basic means of sustaining its citizenry, it is
As simple as that, even the jews had to move back home when they realised that east or west home is the best.

If there are enough industries and jobs and market opportunties easterners would have gone back since, moving the head offices of their business in the east while maintaining branches in other regions, just like every body world wide does, but my dear there are not enough ooportunities for even the indigenes talk less of asking others to migrate east wards for their daily bread.

The east is in a far more dire situation than any other region, the whole Nigeria knows it, thats why no body takes you seriously. If Nigeria breaks today, the east will have to start from a scratch, from ports to airports, to railways, to good motorable road network, good universities (apart from UNN kindly mention another standard university in the east) industries etc. You really have a lot of catching up to do.

So concentrate on the east and leave the west, we will always sort ourselves out. Thank you.

Mind you, I am not saying SE/SS are infallible but based on the propaganda in the system today, why should APC states be dyinghuh...it is contradictory and worst heat are my brothers in SW...
In as much as i wanted to agree with you on some valid points you raised, saying that south west states are the worse hit is a big lie.....Abia state is in the east, the state is the first to start owing workers, infact as we speak, the state is owing its workers for over 10 months, Enugu owes workers of its parastatals for 10 months also, imo is owing for 5 months, out of 5 south east states, 3 are owing.
Even Akwa Ibom state, the richest in terms of oil rrvenue is also owing, Rivers state nko? Benue is totally moribund, Bayelsa might be managing to pay its workers because of the small size of its civil service but even the governor admitted that most capital projects have been on hold now for over a year.

You cant compare the staff strength of Anambra's civil service to that of Osun, Osun has a much bigger stafg strenght. Even Soludo criticised the Anambra government for deciding to save money instead of investing the money in projects that will galvanise the state into an economic hub.

It does not make sense saving money when 80% of your indigenes have to migrate to to other places if they hope to make any head way in business.

Yes our governors have been wasteful and stupid, but it is not in any way limited to the south west governors, it is a national thing. And GEJ did not help matters he allowed a culture of waste to thrive without any attempt to check it.

The era of oil is gradually coming to an end, its time to buckle up and face realities, as for the south west.... don't bother about us, if the Abacha and Goodluck era could not bring us down, we shall surely survive.
Politics › Re: Saraki, fulani And Nigerian Politics: Answered by huptin(m): 6:39pm On Jun 13, 2015
Saraki is a yoruba corruption of 'Sarki' an arabic title....their great great grand father might have been a Fulani who settled in Ilorin and got acculturated to the Yoruba ways, i doubt if Bukola can even speak Fulfulde or Hausa, he is Yoruba in every way. The truth is a Yoruba man is number 2 and 3 in dis current set up.

Just ask your self can an ibo man from Benue ever be allowed to take a slot belinging to North central even if he claims that his father came from Futa djallon? In the same vein, Saraki should not usurp what belongs to the north central whether his great great grandfather is Fulani or not.

I don't think U believe what u are saying my friend. You want him to tax the people more, how could the people with out job pay the tax son? a few people paying more tax is bad for the economy more than u know guy. Economics 101. there is a lot of money in Nigeria but our government don't know how to harness it. If people pay more on tax how could they then spent money to revitalize the economy. The more money the Government takes in the more corrupt they are, again economics 101. whenever you leave money on people they put it back into the economy my friend.
When i say tax reform, what i really mean is putting in place mechanisms to block leakages in tax remittances to government, The truth is that tax system of Nigeria is upside down, the rich pay less or sometimes they don't even pay at all, a comprehensive tax reform will ensure that, the rich pay more, while the poor pay less, thereby increasing government revenues and ensuring better income distribution across all the strata of the Nigerian economy.

Its time to move Nigeria beyond oil, increase in import tarriff will boost government revenue, Buhari should go beyond this and implement tax reforms, Nigeria can make ten times more money from tax than the one we are currently making from oil, the move from OYEL economy to sustainable economic development has commenced, Nigerians its time to buckle up.
