Thanks for the unsolicited advise OP. But please go and deliver your people from PDP slavery first....at least the number of people from your region seeking refuge in Lagos will reduce.

Hmmmm" from our ports" I can't believe I read this.
Those ports existed ever before the name Nigeria was coined and yes they belong to us, Nigeria invested in them yes, just as Nigeria invested in the oil and gas in Niger Delta. If the oil and gas belong to the Niger Delta then the ports beling to us....shikena.

This line of tribal sentiments the south west has towed is very bad. Go to the oil & gas industry which predominantly belongs to the niger deltans and see how d yorubas are dominating because of their tribal bias. This fragile peace we currently enjoy should not be tampered with.
How many Yorubas are dominating your oil and gas industry? Compared to the number of your people making billions from Yorubaland and getting their goods from our ports?

Shut up bleating sheep!! No where else (except in chaotic and dysfunctional societies like Nigeria) would a royal figure open his mouth and spit out such amount of vitriol against a particular tribe.

A monarchy should be a respected entity which maintains neutrality & stays above political squabbles. That Oba is nothing but a loud mouthed thug who deserves no respect from any sane person.

He & his OPC foot soldiers should know better than to threaten any tribe, threats get you no where.
I am not surprised at your uncouth rantings of an ant.... it shows the kind of upbringing you had.

I think you have written the most reasonable response, but the idea of making it look like we got free lands, free capital, free good to do business with in lagos, etc. Nigeria belongs to Nigerian first before any tribal group. Igbo work sweat, blood energy and time, hence while comments are directed at the Oba, he danced naked into the streets, and some comments are also going about towards the Igbo, hope that too is addressed.
I didnt say any body got lands free in Lagos... but i believe that even in hell somethings are sacred.... i will never insult the Obi of Onitsha or the Sultan of Sokoto no matter their utterance.... not because of their person but because of the people they represent, the tradition they identify with and the heritage they uphold.

Dangote, Femi Otedola, Mike Adenuga, Michael Ade ojo, Tunde Ayeni, Folorunsho Alakija, Razaq Okoya etc.... those are few of them. I can see you never travelled outside yoruba land to imo, enugu,Abia the war was fought at SE for 3 yrs with heavy bombardments yet it was rebuilt,,, but there was no war in Ibadan, Abeokuta yet mehn...u talked about Lagos,,yes lagos was former Nigerian capital and it was developed collectively...pls no insult take a trip to imo, abia and Enugu and see the lapses between these places and Ibadan, abeokuta.
Rebuilt with what? where are the industries or commercial ventures that can sustain your population in those places? Ogun state alone has more industries than all the south eastern states combined. Match that first b4 you come online to start beating your chests

I am a Lagos indigene... while i did not support the speech of the Oba in whatever context he made it..... the subsequent vituperations and total lack of tact deployed by some people to the extent of denigrating the royal stool is really annoying...No where else and i mean no where else can that be tolerated.

There is nothing wrong in increasing VAT... serious countries no longer depend on oil revenue to balance their budgets due to its volatility..government needs to diversify its revenue earning potentials if Nigeria hopes to survive...5% VAT is no longer sustainable, it is the lowest in the world... the regional average is 12%, while some countries pay as high as 18%.

What about the environmental degradation and pollution being suffered by Lagos as a result of over population occasioned by the sudden population explosion?

they installed then queen as the ruler of Nigeria. the governor general was the queen's representative in Nigeria. the so called indirect rule was to serve their selfish interests with the least possible resistance.
Nigeria was their creation so they can install a queen or whatever......but the real indigenous comunities were never controlled in that manner.

No you are wrong they didnt install a king anywhere in Nigeria they made use of the already existing kings in each community.. the only place they tried to impose warrant chiefs was in the east and it failed almost totally. You need to really dust your history books.

Fulani has dominated Ilorin that was primarily owned by Yorubas. The Lagos experience is the way it started. Igbos are ready to dominate and control things in Lagos. Can Adeolu or Ahmed contest for a post and win in Enugu State even if he spent donkey years there? Impossible. I urge Lagosians, reject the Igbo dominance in Lagos politics. JK is flying his ambition's kite too much on the platter of ethnicity just like GEJ. That should not be allowed. God bless Nigeria.
How does Fulani dominate Ilorin? Are they the governor? deputy? how many representatives and senators do they have? Are they the chairman of Ilorin local government? So how in hell do they dominate Ilorin? You know you really need to get good education....half baked education is worse than illiteracy.

Ofcourse he is a corrupt kleptomaniac with a heavy dose of nepotism and everything that is undemocratic, don't you see why he's called thieffnubu??....Anyway be that as it may, the igbos don't need the risks of one man wielding such power,we have in our diffused state, survived and progressed a lot more than most folks will give us credit for.It took yorubas years to recover politically and idealogically after the suicide of Awo.

How did it take Yorubas years to recover after Awos death? the very first presidential election after Awos death was won by a Yoruba man, the next one was also won by a Yoruba man, A Yoruba man installed the next 2 presidents and now the Yorubas have the vice presidential slot. So you are very wrong.

No thats not true. You do not have a good grip on the underlying issues here.

Please step aside....
Brother.... I am a full blooded Lagos indigene.... if any one should feel insulted by their attitude and insults it is non but me....nobody calls your land a no man's land and expect you to be happy.

But Lagos was built by the good nature of our fore bears ..... the europeans decided to make this place their home because of the warmth and good attitude of our fathers.... let us not allow any parasite to destroy it for us. We dont need any form of violence at this time, it scares away potential investors.

The ibos are clearly in the minority despite all their noise they couldnt even deliver Lagos to their kin from the niger delta in the last election.... Eyin omo Yoruba e jebure o ...Awo olugbebe.

Last week, Ambode and Osinbajo were in Alaba market canvassing for votes, you're in your palace rubbishing their efforts. Oba, Igbos can not

be intimidated, It seems you want Ambode to lose because this your so called riot act would make more of them to vote for Jimi Agbaje, Igbos

don't accept the language of threat.
I can assure you PDP will get far less votes in this gubernatorial election than they got in the presidential version. Whether it is because the ibos will chucken out o.... i cant say.
Politics › Re: Guber Poll: Oba Of Lagos Reads Riot Act To Igbo... The Sun by huptin(m): 4:38am On Apr 06, 2015
I dont see any reason for this outburst...... in the last presidential election all the ibos and south south people voted for their son in Lagos their total combined votes plus all the OPC boys was less than 35% of the total votes cast, so how can they vote Agbaje into power?
Leave the Ibos alone......we all know them, they can only beat their chests they are not capable of over turning the apple cart.... not in a million years.

Nobody travels a million miles to install a king in another man's land. That wont happen in a million years.

You dont build a viable port in one day boy..... heck it has taken over 1000 years and you havent been able to build one. Even the only international flooded airport wad built in your region after a million years...... so much for ingenuity, industry and hardwork. I can tell you the 5 most economically viable states in Nigeria.... i got bad news for you none is in the south east. Thats the reason why nobody takes your people seriously.

Ofei land houses 90% of all industries in Nigeria, 55% of all economic activities in Nigeria takes place in just 2 states of Ofei land - Lagos and Ogun. The only viable port in your country is in Ofei land. Heck Ofei people can even decide to throw you all into poverty and mystery if they wish- imagine blockading the port for just day- the land of the importers and exporters will simply go into extinction. Ofei people controls Naija, they know it. Thats why they take your threats with a pinch of salt..... without their land yall gonna die of hunger.

Ogun state a non oil producing state contains more industries and job opportunities than the whole of ss and se combined together.
