This should act as a lesson, to all new migrants........ Fraud rate is very high in the UK, people would take advantage of the weak and uninformed........

If that deal is too good to be true, it probably got fraud written all over it ...........

You have platforms to buy from, that offers you financial protection (eBay - PayPal)........

Fraudsters would never use a platform, that offers financial protection.......
grin

Fraudsters are many on eBay too

They sell phones with bad screens etc and eBay will award in their favor

They can ship empty boxes to another address and claim you have collected it

If you do lots of phone shipping on eBay, you'll know this

Nothing beats buying directly from a store and testing it .. Look, check and pay

The UK is conservative, they will still make things hard, good as it sounds the scale-up visa does not make too much sense to me, why categorize some companies as scale-up and list them on a website, who does that?
True words. I hope they review things and at least change it a bit.. But if they do change it to include those 2 years, they may turn up requirements for visas

Gotten a few DMs from folks In Ireland who have told me the same

How easy is it to get those sponsorship jobs?

Interesting times ahead.

'genesis' readup: https://www.scaleupinstitute.org.uk/scaleup-review-2021/insight-the-scaleup-visa-from-seven-years-to-72-hours/

Seemly, not much info on govdotuk at the moment except the cyber runway program/initiative! and the
Minister for Tech and the Digital Economy speech at Digital City Festival

The Times 28 Feb writeup: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/most-generous-visas-to-attract-talent-and-boost-productivity-9qqn6dx56

There was a discussion at the British chambers Turkey
"bcct .org .tr/news/ uk-announces-new-scale-up-visa/71672"

Me thinks they want to take over the market from Canada and US in the near future with the visa categories they are looking to implement

They should just change for student visas and make time spent schooling also count towards ILR

Waiting to see what they will come up with when the scale up visa is finally released in detail

Hi everyone
Please do I still need to fill passenger locator form while traveling to the Uk
Do I still need to book covid test after arriving in the Uk despite fully vaccinated since I need to fill it in the passenger locator form or has it been waived
Can I fill passenger locator form 3 days prior to arriving in to the Uk
Please I need your help as regards to this passenger locator form because it is confusing me. Thanks
I believe the locator form is within 24 hrs before you board

I think they have removed the need for a locator form now though, you can see the info on the home office website

Yes, I've heard Turkey sell quality and affordable clothes. I have also seen it for myself as I used to have work colleague who was a Swiss resident and national. He would travel from Swiss to Turkey regularly to shop for work clothes.
I will go there too when I become a big boy like Mr Ralph

Turkey is great. If you know where to go you can get some really really fantastic clothes for less than UK prices.
One of my fav locations in the world.. discovered capadochia and i have been hooked ever since

Food, spices, clothes , hotels etc are cheap there and its near to the UK

As lexusgs430 has suggested, travel to the US and do all your shopping. Its cheaper than you think. If you travel off peak, you can get return BA flights from London to New York for around £350-£400.

Prior to the pandemic, I would travel to the US at least twice a year for vacation and stock up on casual/office wear. Talk about using one bird to kill two stones. grin My username says it all. You get the best RL outfits for the best prices in the US. grin

If you do not hold a foreign passport, getting a US visa is very easy. You just need to understand the "common" strategy that applies for UK resident applicants.
I think turkey too is cheap especially for cotton clothes

Made some research about it
