Good point, I'm not disputing that but I think Indians are one of the loving people on Earth.

Indians don't descriminate, they don't feel superior and they're very nice to strangers. I think the rate of poverty in their country make them take any jobs that comes their ways.

If you're very familiar with an Indians online you will notice they're so despirate to leave their country for good.

Nigerians are a little bit exposed and know the difference between hustling and being a slave in which some other nationals don't see as a big deal in their countries
LOL If i hear!

As a psychologist, I will suggest MSc. psychological well-being and mental health as this put you at a minimum of band 6 position as a CBT therapist or psychological therapist.

With MSc. psychology, you will require specialisation and getting higher pay, a doctorate is required. This degree can get you assistant psychology position of band 4 or 5.

However, some CBT position also request for MSc psychology degree but not all.
Hello,

I know this question has been answered a few pages back but i am just catching up

Does it also apply for Mental Health nursing?

Dear Great Nairalanders

I am in urgent need of your advice on a decision I am about to make that could shape my life and my young family in about few months from now.

I am currently running successful businesses which give me a steady minimum of N1.5M per month with a potential for expansion. I have been nursing the idea of going to UK on a study Visa by September this year with the hope that I can get a well paying job that could surpass my current earnings here in naijja. I also intend to keep my naija business running but we all know trusting people with kind of investment can be tricky and risky.

What assurance do I have about earning more and having a better life in UK? What happens to my businesses I already built up in Naija? What happens to my properties here in naija?

Your advice will be of great help at this critical decision making moment of my life. Thank you
Send your family there and be the dependent but stay back in Nigeria while expanding in nigeria.

Visit your family from time to time and ensure your wife does a course that is on the SOL. After 5 yrs, she will get ILR and you can then enter as you so wish

Win win for you and your family

You can ask from folks on the UK thread though

For MSc they calculate your summer as part of the Time needed for research.

You can apply for jobs anytime. Nobody is monitoring your email/movement.

Your new job will have to provide new CoS as the previous one is tied to the employer who issued it.

Good luck
Thanks Chief!

Hello Elders and Moderns (Abi how them dey write am now grin), I have a few questions

- Can students work full time during summer or this is subject to your school's T & C?

I have been seeing some conflicting info and not much can be seen on the home office website as regards what term time fully entails. I have mailed the school but I doubt I can get a fast response

A friend shared this with me - https://www.gre.ac.uk/visa/during-your-studies/working-in-the-uk-during-your-study and it says during summer, MSc students will still be restricted to 20hrs per week with full time allowed only during Easter and December breaks (Only 20 hours per week maximum in permitted because you will be required to work on your dissertation during this time.)

- If I do get a job with sponsorship, am I tied for that company for the entire 5 yrs? is there a duration the sponsorship contract lasts for?
Will i be able to apply to and get other jobs?

Thank you as you respond

Passenger aeroplane landing at airport.
from 4am on 11 February all testing requirements removed for eligible fully vaccinated arrivals and only a simplified passenger locator form needed, ahead of half term arrivals who do not qualify as fully vaccinated will only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK

changes come as children aged 12 to 15 in England can now prove their vaccination status or proof of prior infection for outbound travel with the digital NHS COVID Pass

Guys I have been in the uk for just 2weeks and I can tell you that you really need to be prepared financially and emotionally. This student japa route is not for the weak. It’s not cheap and it’s not an easy journey.

This might be to the guys/gals still seeking admission or has offers already. Please before you accept that offer that has a deposit of 1k or 2k read the terms and conditions very well, understand what happens after the 2k deposit. Wether you would require further deposit before enrolment . Understand the payment plan options and all.

The pass mark is 700/1000

Each candidate will be presented with a minimum of 100 questions and a maximum of 150 questions. To receive a pass or fail result, a candidate must answer a minimum of 75 scored questions and a maximum of 125 scored questions. Additionally, each candidate will receive 25 pre-test, or unscored questions, as part of the minimum length examination. (Pre-test questions are questions being evaluated for inclusion in future exams.). Note that one will not be able to distinguish between scored and pre-test questions; so it is better to treat all questions as scored.
Hehehehe
Thanks for the detailed explanation

I think it just prevents time wasting when candidate won't pass anyways

Less load on their servers, less time wasting

This when you have to pack your belongings after the time is up and walk towards the reception to get your result not knowing whether you pass or fail after 6hrs.

I had Azure in 2020 and did my AWS Practitioner & solution architect in 2021. I applied many times for international jobs from Nigeria after Azure but no success. I needed international experience as an IT Professional. My application was able to scale through,( maybe luck) after AWS and I got the professional job I desired. Please note that this is my personal experience even though I did additional security qualifications like CISSP, but I felt AWS made my CV more Visible.

Personal opinion and advice I would give people below ten(10) years in IT.
Nice.

Thanks for the explanation.

Planning to go all the way to AWS security later this year, God willing

AWS cloud practitioner.

Microsoft Azure
Abeg which of this is the best to start from foundational level

Left to me, Azure

Its more GUI friendly than AWS and you'll easily understand the concepts better

Me thinks, Azure fundamentals, then AWS CCP (AWS has more market share than Azure but I don't think that'd last for long)
I know because I have written > 9 Azure/ M365 certs.

Btw you can get the vouchers for Azure free if you attend their training day lectures.

AWS Ccp and SAA vouchers also free via Amazon's training for women / general exam stuff you can sign up for
