lmao I can just imagine the time it took you to search for gsds with the white markings like I said only to show us sable coloured gsds and one black gsd with a small patch of white on it's chest with none any other place those gsds you posted are called sable coloured gsds and they are very popular and they have a white or whitish undercoat, you just had to select the ones that the white that is on a lot of places on their body happened to touch some legs, not even all the legs. when you say a dog has specific white markings it should be like these local dogs on the pics I attached. did you really think I meant there isn't a gsd that the white on it's body touched some legs?. you're showing us dogs that have white undercoats and you think you made a point? and none of them even had the white on all the specific places I said. but check out Nigerian local dogs(not the ones crossed with foreign dogs) they mostly come with these markings, even if they are black, brown or reddish. bruh relax and think before you pick an argument with somebody, their still isn't anything we should be talking about why are you still hitting and missing? I'm sure you understood my initial statement but you just want to prove something that isn't a real conflict go and look for more pics if you want and try again

Dickson23: It is not a fault if there are white gsd.... Stop using AKC standards for us here there are also fawn coloured gsds does that make them any less of a gsd ? no one said white gsds are a fault. what I said is gsds with white markings on there toes and chest are seen as a fault and fawn coloured gsds are an actual colour of gsd unlike gsds with white markings on the toes, chest and tail tips. its not even listed as part of the rare coloured gsds, the closest is the panda coloured gsds and it still doesn't have these markings. I really don't know why you're trying to turn this into an argument, I've asked you to show us 5 pics of gsds with these markings and you haven't been able to provide pics. gsds do not come with those markings unlike local dogs, I can post 70 pics to show local dogs with the markings if you want. I get you want to show you you've read about gsds online but please pick your arguments smartly, there is really nothing to talk about again, read all my comments again in case you still don't understand what I'm saying maybe you'll see why this back and forth is unnecessary . p.s: you said I should stop using AKC standard which standard should I use then? your own? please show me a kennel club that shows gsds with white markings where i said since you don't trust akc |

Dickson23: I didn't say on tails just telling you I've seen pure bred gsd with little white markings on their toes and some all black gsd have little white markings on their chest Google is your friend English comprehension should also be your friend because I wrote a whole paragraph explaining how what i said is not wrong yet you're still ignoring it and saying unnecessary statements no one is arguing with you about. I've also seen Africans with pale skin and blue eyes, does it mean saying Africans have blue eyes and pale skin is correct? do you think people use something that everyone knows is a genetic fault to describe a race or breed?. I said local dogs have white markings on their toes, chest and tail tips, which is very common knowledge then you had to point out that gsds have white markings too, I said they don't and explained how something that is a genetic fault shouldn't be used to describe a breed even tho it happens, I even used the fawn coloured rott as an example. you're still pointing out that they have white markings, I still say because a small percentage that is referred to as a "fault" does not mean the breed should be likened to that colour. I also asked you to post five pics of gsds with that white colour pattern I've been repeating, you still can't provide pics so what exactly are we still talking about?? |

explosiveskull: This is no gsd, as there are other features that distinguish a gsd from other dogs. I've not seen a gsd with a white at the tip of its tail. Take a look at this dog. He is considered the first German Shepherd.
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1208-horand-von-grafrath-hektor-linksrhein
His grandfather on his mother's side was a white German Shepherd.
That means 25% of the genetic makeup of every German Shepherd is white.
Eliminating that from the gene pool through selective breeding is part of why GSD's have so many health problems. dude the dog I posted is a local dog and I posted it to show the type of markings I'm talking about. local dogs have the white markings on their chest, toes and tail tips like how I've been saying constantly. pure bred gsds do not have the markings and if you read my first reply to you you'd understand how that statement is correct. and all gsds do not have 25% white gene, that's not how genetics work. German shepherds have been around since the 1800s, do you think filal generations carry the same genetic make up for over a century? I get that you have read about gsd history but it's not everything you have to argue. what I said is not wrong at all and I've explained why the statement is correct, it doesn't matter how much of the history of gsds you write, you still aren't proving me wrong or even making any impact to my initial statement |

explosiveskull: Seriously, dog shows determine the pureness of a breed? Or it's genetic makeup? I give up. Thank you. actually dog shows only take pure bred dogs and dogs that represent their breed well, this is very common knowledge |

Dickson23: Check online you would see alot with little white markings on their toes kindly share 5 pics of pure bred gsds that have markings on the toes, tail tips and chest like the local Nigerian dog. I've even been specifying the particular points of the white markings yet you guys want to feel like gsd experts.

explosiveskull: Bro how many times will I correct you on this your white markings found on gsds, that a gsd has a white marking doesn't make it impure but a fault according to the American or whatever breeding conformation. The white markings show that that particular dog has a white recessive Gene, will you say that pure white gsds are impure too? Just that the white markings do add faults to the conformation as per the purpose why it was bred and that is for herding as herds or sheep didn't fear white gsds cos they thought that the gsd is a sheep like them and their herding work required them to be dirty sometimes and white doesn't hide dirt, so breeding since then have been patterned in such a way to eliminate those white markings. If you read about their genealogy, that white Gene was introduced either in their third generation when their breeding program was still in full process. let's start like this, if someone should ask you to describe a pure bred Rottweiler wouldn't you describe them as black with tan markings? do you know that rotts can also come in fawn colour? does it mean it's part of the standard of a pure bred Rottweiler? and also, these white gsds and also the ones that have the recessive white gene do they have the markings on their toes, chest and tail tips? you even had to write the history of white gsds like it was proving any point. yes there are African albinos and Africans with blue eyes but will you seem like a smart person when you say Africans have pale skin and blue eyes? like you said, it is seen as a fault, meaning any pure bred gsd with white markings will not be considered a good representative of the breed and not be allowed in dog shows, do you know why?, it's because *it is not a breed standard*.

MrrKay: Yea it does reduces enzyme activity and stops the growth of bacteria and molds. you can also do it with raw eggs, just put it in the fridge(not freezer ooh) and serve cold. it makes it safer, it preserves it and dogs love cold raw meat and eggs for some reason some dogs even if they don't like raw meat, if you serve it frozen they'll eat it. |

naijabat2001: Good morning house, please I need swift address on Molly and storm, it has been three days of no sleep and worry because am scared of losing them both, it been three days now both of them have lost apitite to eat anything.
Each time I go to the vet, whom happen to be the best here in Benin(Vetcare vegetable market), he keep saying I should not mind them feed them with what they have been eating, but believe me, for three days now they haven’t eaten any of their usual meal given to them, they just sniff and ignore all day, I come to meet the same quantity of food the next morning, am so worried and scared, two week ago I treated them of fever and deworm them both yesterday (syrups), they have reduce drastically, I still feels they are sick but the vet is yet to get the root of their stickiness.
They look hungry but can’t eat, not even dry meet, dry fish, Akamu( pap), milk, indomie mix with dry fish or meat, can food (frances pride) , the regular fish meal mix with milk, all this they decline to...
The vet is angry that I wast my money and keep saying ( them never hungry if them angry them go chop am) for three (3) days now them never angry?
Please house help me save them both. those dogs are too young to go so long without food. make sure they drink water even if they aren't eating, you should even rub honey or glucose on your finger and rub in their mouth too to keep their blood sugar level up. go to a chemist and ask for cyproheptadine tablets,it costs about 100-300 naira for the pack. give then one and half tablet each and exercise them, then wait for 2 hours and feed them. if they still don't eat then try a new vet |

MrrKay: At what age did u introduced raw feeding?
What especially do you feed him raw?
Guild line on how to do it well, will be appreciated I started raw feeding in small quantities since he was about 3-4 months. I started actual raw feeding from about 6months. you just need to be sure where you get the meat or fish from, make sure you get fresh meat not the one that has been left in the open for several hours. also it's better if you freeze the meat first, freezing the meat makes it safer for your dog. I mostly feed frozen meat to my dog, if I can't freeze it,I Cook it. and you can also serve the meat while it's cold too, it's not bad for your dog and dog's like cold meat, just let it defrost a little so the dog can chew it and serve it even with the ice. and once you start raw feeding, make sure you deworm your dog regularly, especially it it's a puppy. I have been feeding raw meat and bones to every dog I've ever had and I haven't had one complication, the advantages greatly out number the possible disadvantages. just don't make it too frequent, dogs can get addicted to it and refuse to eat any other thing |

MrrKay: Hello fellow Dog Lovers
Pls can we've alil discussion about dog food esp BONE AND RAW FOOD (BARF)
I've not given my lil princess bone Though i've the intention of introducing it to her frm her 5th month, Knowing there ve been alot of agitation n arguement online,
Some website will advice u never to give ur dog uncooked meat, or cooked bone as it may splinter and cause harm to the dog.
Some web will encourage u to feed raw, it keeps the gum and teeth healthy and also make their stool firm, for the parasite and bacteria, the dog stomach is acidic enough to take care of it, tho u gotta keep ur deworming and vacination updated.
This whole thing ve taken the situation to ON YOUR OWN thing (OYO)
Though i still seek for advice here, cos petlanders have never let me down. Buh it was unanswered, 2days ago i decided give raw a trial. I started with brisket bone, and xena welcomed it in excitement, to be candid, her stool ve any be as firm as this her current chippins.
Dog lovers, what is your take on this? I raw feed and I haven't experienced any complications, if you do it well then it's good for your dog |

Pets › Re: My Female Boerboel .... Her Name Is "Xena" by IamAnderson(m): 9:31pm On Sep 04, 2019 |
MrrKay: Maybe she does!! Maybe she eats when she wants, not when i want her to. Like today, i served her indomie prepared with grinded crayfish chafs, chicken parts and catfish intestines, was hoping she ought to finish the meal b4 nw, so i'll drop alil diamond and dried meat a treat for d 9t, buh she just picked the chicken parts, catfish intestine and maybe alil of the indomie. Kinda curious buh it's seems she's ok. Buh a thing i knw is she will empty her bowl b4 morning (not always though) but i do get tempted to put her away foods at 9t cos, i do take her for walk in the morning. So i get curious to boost her appetite so she can be eating jaga jaga.
But all this dosn't stop her 1egg/day cos it daily ritual.
NB: she eats more when i'm not around. Aby if i de, she go de do shakara. maybe that's just her eating pattern, not all dogs eat a lot. if you want to boost sha you can use multivitamins to boost it |

Appetite booster sound inviting tho. I'll be glad to know the price range of the aformentioned.
Thanks. bully max is already fine for her I don't think you should add another multivitamin why do you feel the need to boost her appetite? is she not eating well? |

IJBNSH: Sure I do, can you recommend any local food to give my 10months plus BB She eating indomie fine but I want something to boost her more. She look less her age, her picture is attached below I'll advice you increase her protein intake, the indomie isn't the problem her protein consumption is just not enough. that solid look you want from her can be gotten through adequate protein intake and exercise. |

Toju200: your Caucasian is amazingly beautiful....But mine isn't as furry as your though it's still 5months and handsome his name is spark....I love his reaction towards strangers not too aggressive when I'm there but he is very brutal toward one Samoyed in my area that belongs to my friend.the Samoyed (male) called jayboy around 2yrs.alway Chase and bites people so on Friday this Samoyed and it's owner chased me to my compound.Spark heard his bark and knew he was chasing me I quickly ran and unleashed spark but my Male Lhasa apso was the first to attack but I quickly had to seperate them B4 something else happens....pls how do I make my Caucasian respond to attack command though he hears sit,eat but stop na lie e nor wan hear... lol your dog is still 5 months right? when it's mature you're the one that'll be begging him to not attack I can still give you pointers tho, although don't expect much from a 5 month old pup. my number is on the thread, I just posted it recently, feel free to WhatsApp me |

MrrKay: Hello Dog lovers!! As learning is a day to day affair, which justifies being a continious process.
1. Though Xena dosn't have thick, i use JEC- RIGHT RAID herbal Acaricide powder, which i apply on her coat, occassionally after bath, though it's working wonders, buh the way she sniffs and run around makes me feel uncomfortable. Pls suggest alternative, or should i stick to that?
2. Any good worm tab? I use wormid, after every 2wks, cos my dog always take eggs(boiled) and milk why i go for injectable deworming after 4/5wks but i am beginning to doubt the efficiency of the wormid.
3. As she sniffs and run around when i apply her thick control powder, thats same thing she does when i wear her perfume. Any problem with this?
4. Aside from deworming, is there anyway to increase a dog'q appetite?
IamAnderson Vincentjk I use amitraz to bath my dog,I prefer it to the tick powder. like you said, she reacts to the powder when you apply it, amitrax doesn't cause sniffing or running around, once you bath the dog with it it's over I use praziwormer too, I'll advice you to switch, it's the best especially for large-giant breeds, one tablet= 10kg some worm expellers you have to use more than that to equal 10kg and you might end up using more than one container per deworming session. with praziwormer even a massive adult Caucasian of 100kg needs only 10tabs and their are 20 in the can for 2500# you can use multivitamin, cyproheptadine or appetite boosters to increase her appetite |
