vincentjk:how much do you get the pork spine and is it as soft as goat spine? I've only tried goat and cow spines and cow spines are so strong and useless so I stuck with the goat spines. I'll like to try pork spines too sometime |
Jackonsy:don't answer the account, he doesn't even know what a boerbel is. He's just looking for attention |
Ozonexy:just combing and detangling. I try to remove the detached fur before they tangle and form matts, so far it's working. and I also keep him away from moisture because once his fur gets wet, it gets dirty and once it's dirty, the dirt tangles with the fur. |
Adrian98:were you really expecting your dog to have foreign internet quality? ![]() how much was the dog and have you ever added any muscle supplement to her diet? I didn't mean your dog looked exactly like the one in the pic, I just meant that it was the same type of boerbel just from a better bloodline, more mature, better fed and well exercised. for average Nigerian standards then your boerbel is okay, not many boerbels look like the one he posted in Nigeria. don't use dogs you find on google to judge your dogs if not you'll feel bad .those ones are from top bloodlines that are well taken care of. your dog is okay |
vincentjk:yeah I just wanted to point out that your dog can add a lot of mass after 1yr, in fact the dog's full mass comes out after one year. some dogs esp large/giant breeds don't get thick or muscular until after 1yr so if you feel like because your dog isn't as thick as the one's you see online at 1yr then you shouldn't really bother just feed and exercise and the mass will come when it's right what he said was absolutely correct tho, I just wanted to explain it more, no worries ![]() |
forreelliinc:you try so hard to be funny it's pathetic smh |
MrrKay:lol none for now, I haven't really had the chance since he's been shedding his puppy fur. I think he's done shedding now tho I'll post when I can ![]() |
Freciprocal:you know his dog is a boerbel right? she'll stop growing at about 2-3 years not one. at 1 yr she isn't at her full mass or height, she'll still add more although not as fast as her puppy growth. dogs that grow on an average over 100lbs don't apply to that 1yr rule, they grow till 3yrs although slower with time. dogs under 100lbs stop growth at around 1yr plus while dogs smaller than 30lbs stop growing even sooner. it's not the same rule with every breed especially if it's a male dog e g this is vastelin a Caucasian shepherd at 14 months second pic at 2yrs third pic at 3yrs back at his home town you see the difference right?. the bigger the breed the slower it grows ![]()
|
MrrKay:that actually depends on her, you'll have to try out different meals till one sticks |
Jackonsy:how old is it? judging by the picture, the dog isn't bad, I'm guessing it's just a bad picture. you should have shown us the dog's face well, the dog is shying away from the camera |
forreelliinc:the funny thing is that the dog you posted looks exactly like the one op posted just that it's better fed, exercised and more mature plus it's a male. you don't even know how to troll. |
mafiano1986:I won't be surprised sef, the guy is very disgusting |
Kentura:are you thinking before typing? "acting like non Nigerian " like animal cruelty is part of being Nigerian. do you really think being in support of mindless cruelty to animals make you "smart" or "Nigerian"? it just makes you a psychopathic as$hole, you're the one that shouldn't fool yourself. |
Kentura:not having human empathy makes you a terrible person it's not a matter of opinions. even psychiatric tests show that people who are cruel to animals for no reason have psychopathic tendencies. no sane person will see your comment and not get disgusted |
Kentura:so me having compassion for a living thing and thinking that it being skinned alive is bad makes me twisted? and saying I shouldn't eat meat or I should marry them makes no sense whatsoever, not being in support of animal cruelty doesn't mean you are interested in entering a relationship with them. you are a terrible person and you think like a psychopathic cave man. |
kobosmart:are you 12 years old? |
Kentura:so anything that isn't a human deserves to suffer? what kind of twisted mentality is that?? |
Timantech:tell her not to try it let her wait for the second r third heat for the dog's sake |
Timantech:don't even try it |
space9880:it's the food mostly lol, fast food doesn't really have much nutritional benefit, it's just to fill your dog's belly, minus that, the ingredients used to prepare some of them are not good for dogs. you can feed your dog jollof rice from fast food and someone can feed his dog white rice and boiled chicken and his dog is eating better than yours ![]() |
space9880:too much oily food isn't good for any animal including humans. if you're going to be feeding your dog a regular diet of palm oil then you should reduce the quantity. no doctor sef will advice a human to eat oily food in large quantity everyday not to talk of a dog that is less built to process fatty food palm oil contains a lot of fat and too much fat causes, nausea or pancreatitis. if you notice your dog's poop is oily or glossy then reduce the oil intake. |
vincentjk:lmao he feeds the dogs how he likes and he doesn't want to believe it's affecting them no matter how you advise, I'm tired of warning him let him do what he wants. that's how he buys dogs every time, the breeder he uses even knows him for that and he's a usual customer, that's were I got Roscoe from sef lol. he also believes this stupid thing that people do that they put alcohol in their dog's eyes and give them to drink at night to make them "aggressive" I pity the dogs but I'm tired of arguing with him let him do what he wants since he's an expert |
vincentjk:he's doing well thanks for asking ![]() |
vincentjk:this is really good, the meal is rich ![]() |
vincentjk:that's how I prepared the soup for my dog the few times I've fed him soup. people just like to argue with what vets advise like they studied veterinary medicine, because their dog didn't drop dead in front of them. I know someone that has never had a dog that lived past 7yrs irrespective of the breed and he keeps plenty dogs at a time. they always die from strange illnesses or sometimes he'll just come out one morning and see them dead. one of them choked on a chicken bone in front of him and died there he was even arguing with me one day that dogs don't live past 7yrs ![]() he keeps saying it's because of the breed, but he has tried different breeds and they still don't last long in his hand. he feeds his dogs stupid things and when I complain he'll say he has been keeping dogs longer than I have and I'll just back off and let him do his thing. the guy feeds his dogs rubbish, from strong bones to tea with Milo and even coco pops or peppersoup and fast food waste now he's complaining that current gsd of about 4yrs is constantly drinking water and urinating frequently and upon that, he doesn't want to hear that he should watch what he feeds the dogs, now he wants to try out rottweiler ![]() I don't get why people find it hard to listen to instructions about all these dog related warnings, they always want to argue with no credibility or tangible proof so they'll feel like experts and say "you don't even know anything about dogs". |
Freciprocal:so because your dog didn't drop dead after eating it's a misconception? do you think when you're asked not to feed your dog's excess oil, salt and also not to include onions in their meals it means they'll fall down and die after eating?. it's people like you that complain that their dog died at 6yrs of "unknown circumstances". go and read up on the dangers of feeding dogs onions and salt with excess oil long term and stop deceiving yourself. this is even general knowledge, i don't know why we're having this conversation, saying it's a misconception with no validation or proof is just a very ignorant thing to say. do you think you're smarter than vets or other dog owners? lmao please. because your dog is rushing something doesn't mean it's healthy or good, if you give a dog chocolate it will rush it too but chocolate is deadly to dogs |
Freciprocal:you don't adjust the Ingredients for your dog's okro soup? all that palm oil, onions, salt and maggi isn't good for any dog. |
MrrKay:deworm her once a month, the every two weeks thing became too much once she crossed 3 months. you can place her on dog food for a year if you want but you also have to introduce her to other things too so she'll not select food in future. my dog was fed mostly dog food for a year like how you want to do with Xena but along the line I introduced him to other meals so taking him off dog food wasn't hard. |
MrrKay:don't put her on that diet now ooh lol she's too young for that, besides you want her to add mass, garri isn't the right diet for that |
MrrKay:you're welcome ![]() I think you should pair her up with a female, it's a safer plan for her. just make sure it's a level headed dog that can easily be called off in case their is an issue. the dog I picked for mine was an adult gsd but Roscoe was already bigger than him so the dog respected himself ![]() the only bully their was Roscoe who was always climbing him and following him around. then sometimes if he enters, Roscoe's kennel Roscoe will start barking at him but I was always with them when they are both free so I didn't record any casualties. don't also introduce her to a dog that's too hyper, like all these busy body Lhasa's they might overwhelm her and she might do something stupid.just take it easy and with time she'll be Fred with other dogs |
MrrKay:I expected this to happen at some point. she's the only dog so you have to socialise her with other dogs to prevent fear of other dogs or dog aggression. when you want to socialise her, look around for a calm dog, preferably a puppy that she can play with and make sure it's on neutral ground. when she has become more comfortable with the presence of another dog then bring the socialisation to her own territory. Roscoe doesn't like other dogs too since he grew up with only humans from as little as 1month of age. when he sees another dog, he ignores it, even if the dog is barking at him he just stands there and makes no effort to even sniff the dog or something. when he was 7months old, I took him to a compound where their were 3 dogs, one adult gsd, one adult cauc and one 4 month old cauc puppy. the dogs were trying to sniff him and engage him with play but he refused to join them. instead, he came back to where the humans were staying to chill with us .I had to take the adult gsd to our own compound for a little holiday before Roscoe paid him attention. immediately he saw him and his owner walk into the compound, he started barking at the dog and when I freed him after the owner left he ran straight to the dog and started sniffing him all over. he thought we brought the dog to cross or something because he started mounting the dog to hump him ![]() the gsd stayed a week plus with us and they never fought, their was just little passive aggressive dominance moves here and there but it went well later on. the gsd bit Roscoe once sha, Roscoe was looking for trouble and was trying to hump him so he bit him in retaliation. Roscoe was fine tho because of the fur, the gsd just got a mouth full of fur and choked on the hair a little but Roscoe was unharmed, luckily I was there to stop it immediately he got bitten before there was a retaliation from him. some dogs that grew up alone irrespective of age react with fear when they see other dogs especially when the other dog is angry at them, some react with anger and dog aggression while some ignore other dogs like my own. it's not something that socialisation won't fix so don't worry just look for another level headed dog. although Roscoe doesn't seem to enjoy the company of other dogs, even when we were walking the gsd with him on the road he refused to turn his back to the gsd. he only walked if the gsd is far in front of him, if it's the other way around he'll keep on turning back to stare at the gsd. I'm just happy he doesn't have dog aggression if not that would've been a problem. |
Spanishmilf:see tbh, all those things will just fill his belly but the nutritional value isn't that good. when you're feeding a puppy (especially a mastiff or molloser) concentrate more on the protein content of the food. all those things are mainly carbohydrates, protein is what will build him up well. when he's an adult then you can slow down with the protein but as he's young give him all the meat, fish and eggs you can lay your hands on and you'll see the difference in his stature |
