The language is officially known as NIGERIAN PIDGIN. From research, it is the most widely spoken language and most widely understood language in Nigeria. Most people who don't understand or speak English still use Nigerian Pidgin to a considerable extent. I discovered that many places in Nigeria have some localized forms of the language. For example, there is Waffi (Warri&environs), Baffi (Benin&environs), Jos pidgin, Kaduna pidgin, and of course, Ajegunle/Lagos pidgin. The challenge is how to synthesize the various localized forms of the language into a congruent whole such that it can be used and understood by all Nigerians and others. The language needs to be in more written form. It has also been discovered that many who claim to understand Nigerian Pidgin cannot read it, as they have been used to the slang form. Interestingly, some organizations and media houses are now promoting the language. I know of Wazobia FM in Lagos. The Jehovah's Witnesses are also actively promoting the use of a standardized form of Nigerian Pidgin as they have produced several videos and written publications in Nigerian Pidgin. They also have a pidgin website at WWW.JW.ORG/PCM. Apart from Nigerian Pidgin, there are many other forms of pidgin worldwide, including but not limited to: Cameroonian Pidgin, Solomon Islands Pidgin, etc. My broda and sista dem, the koko of the mata be sey mek all of us dey use the language because na we own. E dey make us fit gum bodi well and undastand one anoda. Wetin I dey talk be sey, Nigerian Pidgin, e gud well well! Na Baba God take am bless us for we kontri! |
Since you lied to her the first time, now is the time to 'UNLIE' to her! A good relationship is built on the foundations of trust, honesty, and then love. C'EST fini, Mon cher frere! |

routik:It's professional masters. As a general rule, in most cases, when you hear Master in/Master of a course/program directly, it is professional. E.g Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master in Public Administration (MPA), etc. But when you hear Master of Science (MSc), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Education (MEd) in a program, it is academic. Hence, we have MBA and then MSc. Business Administration. |
Odunharry:This Op nailed it! Academic masters leads to further excursion into academic research and pedagogy while professional masters focuses on practice. The major advantage, however, is that while many firms will accept academic masters in lieu of professional masters, no institution (e.g. university) will accept a professional masters in lieu of academic masters. Take, for instance, an MBA and an MSc. Business Administration. The MSc. is senior any day. |
The AGBAYUN "Miracle fruit" is found in the rural areas on the outskirts of Abeokuta. It is seasonal, I believe |
I have an app that can help you. I am very certain of that! Check my signature. |
I will not forget how we lost a young, beautiful, and brilliant former student of ours in a road crash from this same company some years back. And she just graduated back then! I have personally seen PMT drivers in action. Many of them (not all, there are some reasonable ones) are reckless most of the time. |
I was there. It was brief but interesting. Hoping to hear from them soon. The role is field-based, and it requires drive, a lot of creativity, and marketing skills. |
IamQuins:Hello. Did you go for the interview yesterday? How did it go? |

Juzzybabe:This is sad! I will recommend three publications for you ( if you wish to read and make use of them) 1. The Secret of Family Happiness 2. Your Family Can Be Happy 3. Teach Your Children. They are all available for download free at JW.org Also, read and apply Philippians 4:6,7 in the Holy Bible. May your wounds heal and may your sun always shine. |
Seun and the mods should read up on MARKETING MYOPIA. Many organizations have fallen victim to marketing myopia. This is especially the case with online/social media. It starts with the organization disregarding customer insights/objections/opinions, then demarketing starts happening. Brand dissonance sets in. Brand loyalty starts diminishing. While that is going on, more customers-centric competitors are becoming interested in the business and before you know it, boom! Customers have migrated to the listening brand. Then, what is done cannot be undone. |

victor101:What do I need to do? When you make adverts for jobs like this, you need to be very specific in your posts. You should have stated exactly what is to be done with the email address you posted. Is is to send a CV? Or just to send a message like: "I'm interested:? Or just to send a mail with our contact details? All these could be part of what it means to send applications, depending on the nature of the job. That is how it works, brother. And there is nothing wrong in responding to the pm sent to you. Nice day. |

victor101:Check the number in my signature, then check which of the CVs received contains that number. Or, better still, respond to my pm. Best wishes. |
We are in similar situations brother. Don't forget that schools don't just depend on a candidate's having a first class or second class upper to give them Graduate Assistantships (Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant). You need to prove that you have an affinity for teaching, research, and community service. You need to prove that you understand the current issues in pedagogy as they relate to your field. You can start by studying academic journals in your field. You can also offer to serve as an intern with some of your professors on their research endeavours. This may be tedious, time-consuming, and most times, free work. But you will learn a lot from the experience in areas of pedagogy, research design, instrumentation, implementation, and reporting. Most importantly, you need to show evidence of commitment to academic advancement and continuous learning. So, if you have not already done so, you need to proceed on an academic excursion leading to a Masters degree. It is advisable to do it in the institution to which you are applying, for time and distance considerations. All the best, scholar! |
victor101:A mail has been sent to you since last night I have experience in the field, from Bsc to PGD, Masters and Doctorates. |
I'm interested. I have a flair for researching and proofreading. I love working with big data. I hope the terms will be mutually beneficial. Applying. |
smoothlips:Where will you be coming from? Which of the spots are you interested in? This will help in giving a practical estimate. |
Naptu, Well done! I enjoyed this thoroughly, save for the bigots who decided to spoil the show with their usual inane remarks. Could you please prepare this in a PDF format? I will send you a pm. |
smoothlips:Guy, Badagry make sense ooo. Beaches/relaxation/tourist spots include Suntan Beach, Aivoiji Beach, Ganyingbo Beach, Sakpo Beach, Akran's Palace (Oba of Badagry), Slave Relics Museum, Marwa Gardens (Marina), First Story Building in Nigeria and the room where Samuel Ajayi Crowther translated the first Yoruba Bible, Badagry Market (Fish market, Shoes/wears market), Point of no return (no fear for the name ooo), Whispering Palms (Iworo, via Aradagun from the expressway), the list goes on and on. I have touched all except Whispering Palms and Point of No Return. I have visited all, some several times. Badagry is a cool vacation spot |
