I sent an amount of money to a customer with Sparkle bank, one of the digital banks in Nigeria. I did my research before registration, I discovered that it is owned by the former CEO of diamond bank, so I had some peace of mind.

To my greatest surprise, the money was deducted twice from my account, I called the recipient, he claimed he received only once. I proceeded to lodge a complaint to Sparkle bank support who replied me in 24 hours, confirming that both transactions were successful, but failing to admit the mistake of duplicating the transaction on their end.

Now the dude isn't picking my calls again, apparently he has received the duplicate. What can I do to get my money back? Can I sue the bank? Can I get the recipient's account blocked? Who has experienced this before?

I have designed numerous hotels bro, passed approvals. Architecture is dead already. I saw a programmer some few days and he said computer has been able to bring architecture to everyone but their problem is structural designs. He asked if I could get him like 100 templates and i told him maybe whe he's 80years old. Lol

It's quite funny to see this just after getting my second job as an architect. Been long I saw this kind of view, looks like one from a proud myopic engineer. (I respect engineers but you as a person just lost my respect). You don't sound intelligent at all. Your knowledge is so limited. Get out of your village and see what's really happening out there. Architecture is way more than what you think.

Back to the op... Both fields are lucrative if you're good and we'll connected. If you know you're not well connected, just make sure you're extremely good with the knowledge of the courses and the related softwares. Have a thing for tech and foreign jobs. Don't be old school. You will break out.

Don't forget to learn a tech related side hustle while in school. It will give you the financial confidence you'll need in your mid twenties. I wish you luck!

They allowed scammers a free reign on their bank for too long with SLOW, unresponsive Customer care this is what I have not seen with all other banks.

Immediately I saw the "you must be a kid"... I already the kind of person you are. It's really a problem (your problem) if you can't communicate without hurling insults. Even if I'm a kid, you don't have to speak to me in that manner. You won't learn from people younger than you that way, and trust me, some of them know so much especially in this tech era.

It is a scam bank: No reliable customer care personnel, staff transfer out money with flimsy excuses, money is not in safe hands. It is traumatic experience banking with them as you have to keep your eyes wide open always. Not worth it.

Let me register mine here... completely lost my sense of smell around January, I was stunned because I've never felt that way before. Also, it was so rampant in my local town that late Dec/Early January. Some lost both senses. Most churches and families had those symptoms about the same time. I had a mild malaria and treated it and after about 5 days, I had my sense of taste back.

Of course our guess was covid but no adequate testing/treatment facility. We're all fine now btw.

Error of hasty generalization. No matter how hard you criticise, government job is still that old school stable source of income. Sack is rare, pay is sure, even if they owe you they will still pay las las. Well, I'm hopeful for a govt job with a reasonable pay and promotion schedule, and the opportunity to practice my profession and businesses along side. This is what my role models do and they're living so fine. btw, some government jobs pay over 500k. Imagine having that and same for one's spouse. That's my Nigerian plan. Else, na to japa.

We know we're experiencing brain drain but above all, let them travel if they want. We would have had many jobless doctors if not for the exodus, keeping supply to the labour market low.

Or they should build more hospitals, renovate existing ones and equip them adequately, then employ medics and pay them regularly. I know this one is hard for the government of the day so, let doctors travel and have their good lives.
