Airtime, food at restaurants, basically everything we use and consume are appropriately taxed so, we have the right to demand good governance. You have some flimsy points but beyond the masses, the government is the greatest problem. They can, with good policies and implementation, make some good out of the citizens as it is in every developed nation. Human beings naturally have the tendency to be mischievous, it takes good governance to make them responsible.
