I unfollowed all boards and became a ghost member for a year now. The situation of the country made me like that. But I noticed things aren't getting better We lie that things would get better But they aren't I'm not supporting or aligning myself with the wailing wailers but I'm saying we need a better change. Youth need active participation in politics. This God forsaken men ruled this country at the early stage of their life and still come back to rule us at this old stage We youth should ask ourselves when we would free ourselves from this slavery We need the Revolution. Common or uncommon sense We need revolution. I believe in Nigeria ruled by Youths. I am a leader of tomorrow but when would 'tomorrow' happen? 130 Likes 21 Shares |

Education / LASU Sails At The Inter-university Environment(green) Debate By SAEI by IamDejman(m): 8:41pm On Sep 28, 2015 |
As a means to get awareness to the Public, a non-governmental organization Sustain Africa Earth Initiative organized an Inter-University Environmental (Green) Debate within Lagos on the topic “Climate Change Adaptation is the Way Forward and not Climate Change Mitigation”, this began from the schools through a preliminary stage which produced the best 4 students from the various Faculties, the Grand Finale was then Slated on 28th September, 2015 at the Julius Berger Hall, University of Lagos. The Participating schools include University of Lagos, Lagos State University and Caleb University. Amongst the Special guest Present were, Mr. Desmond Majekodunmi, Mrs. Aisha Muhammed Oyebode, and the Representative of the Perm. Sec. Of the Lagos State Ministry of Environment Oluwatoyin Olusaweto, aside from the Judges. Students were present from all schools and it was a wonderful audience. The debate was a dazzling show of intelligence, ideas, perspectives, research, and many more. The N3million P.E.Ts Campaign was also launched. This campaign enables persons of the society to save pets bottles and pure water sachets and get great free vouchers. This is done by firstly registering at http://www.sustainafricaei.org, further information is available on the site. The results of the debate which was held in 3 rounds, seeing UNILAG face up Caleb University, as well as Caleb University Up against LASU, and finally LASU tugging it out against UNILAG. the Judges included Mr. Saka, Dr. Aderulu Adeyemo, Mr. Femi Akiola, Mrs. Oloyide. This saw Lagos State University (LASU) ranking top of the Debate. The President of Sustain Africa Initiative, Mrs. Fadera Williams said the Votes of Thanks which brought the Programe to a close. The representatives of the winning team (LASU) were Awesu Olaniyi (400l Pol Sci Edu), Rafiat Atanda (300l English), Ojo Timilehin (200l Law) and Agu Nmesoma (200l Law). OlujobaSamuel:Don't misquote. I'll advise you read again and decipher yourself that Nans action colluded with the acts of the Union. So its either, they were informed (LASUSU exco) and they ignored Nans or never expected them to do that today. |

Education / What Really Happened At Lagos State University (20 Aug 2015) by IamDejman(m): 7:37pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
“In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” George Orwell It is imperative at this junction to make us understand certain things. Lagos State University, the great citadel of Knowledge situated in Ojo area of Lagos State, has had certain issues in the last eight months which had even grounded activities at some period. Today, 20th of August, 2015; a rainy Thursday, we have experienced two different actions at a time. As at 9am this morning, the students’ Union executive had called for a meeting with regard to the purported mass failure of 200l and 300l students offering General Nigerian Studies (GNS). Due to this, an agreement was made by students in attendance to create awareness by blocking the gates of the campuses. It is to be known that this did not affect movement of our lecturers uploading results in the campus. Therefore, Dr Adekunle Idris, Chairman of ASUU-Lasu, should hold NANS Zone D (SouthWest) for their acts and not the Students’ Union. If our Lecturers think we would stop and hinder them from making us progress, then it cannot be so. I appease all involved to tread softly due to the owing fact that there is a need to avoid a crisis in Lasu especially at this crucial moment when our academic calendar is found wanting. I applaud both my Union’s Exco act and the actions of NANS Zone D but we all must remember if we do the right thing at the wrong time then there is a problem. For ecery act, we must have the right timing and as such, I beseech them to take cognizance of that fact. Repositioning Lasu is the duty of all Lasuites and well-wishers of the University. Let’s try our best to work towards that Ayodeji Cornelius Eluwande (DEJMAN); 200l Common Law. Cc: Lalasticlala, Ishilove, Farano 3 Likes 1 Share
