Aside Nursing, Tech seem to be the next big thing and most of us who have a little knowledge about it do not know how to fix ourself into thé system..

I have seen so many people declaring interest in tech.
I wish we had a small hub where new tech enthusiast with UK in mind can come together and share tips, career path etc.
Honestly i have been underestimating my small frontend skill till i searched on indeed and saw how much pay i can get. .
On this note i have sent you a PM .
we can have a group of 5 -10 like minded individual with an existing knowledge of ICT.
We would appreciate all senior members who are already working in the tech to help us with one or two guidelines

I should be in the UK by January and have been trying to brush myself up on my IT skills.
Since the day twitter was banned, i have been tweeting from the comfort of my home in Nigeria.
Launch your Twitter app, go to settings then proxy.
Fill the proxy and port just as in the image i sent and you will be back online. .

Problem is that we can't access Twitter from naija oo except we use vpn... having vpn on phone is like an exhibit with our killer and dubious police... police have continued their stop n search again oo.. more especially in festac and mile2 badagry road...... does teneika askew have maybe instagram or LinkedIn handle that would be easier for some of us...#ENDSARS

NLC should not be taken serious.
If you earn 100,000 naira monthly which seems like a lot of money to some people, in the real sense you are only worth less than 400naira per hour. I.e for a 9hours daily job.
NLC should work towards changing the pay strate to hourly instead of useless monthly minimum wage that is less than the cost of a bag of rice.

Its fine if you have a good life in Nigeriia. Doesn't mean others are bandwagons.

We all claim our mothers soup is the sweetest till we taste the other.

First, A nurse in Nigeria can not be compared to a new nurse in UK. In career, finance, life expectancy, socio economic status etc..

Suddenly we remember the phrase paycheck to paycheck as if thats not the life of a regular Nigerian Nurse here in Nigeria..

Remember 25k yearly is for working about 37/38 hours per week.
We have 168 hours a week. If we divide it by 2 and assume we take a compulsory sleep of 84 hours per week (12hours each day)

you will be left with 84 hours to work p/w of which 37hrs is what your employer demands to meet up. This 37 hours could be just monday to Wednesday or Thursday..

What i am saying is . There is room for overtime and extra jobs.
Its about planning your time and living a low budget life..

If you are newly married, its easier to save.
I know of couples that completed their houses here in Nigeria within 5years of their stay.

My wife is also a nurse, she is expected to resume by November. I intend joining her 3 months later as a dependent.

I have been using google to get vast idea of what i can do.
Aside carejob and warehouse jobs which are one of the easy jobs to come by i am looking at running certified courses in medical line so i can gradually fix myself into a skilled related job. .
I am open to other options.

You need
1.Affidavit from Federal high court with receipt stapled behind it.
2.Newspaper publication
3.NIN verification.Make sure you register your NIN early enough then be ready to pay for it to drop.

You have to swear an affidavit from a Federal High Court with receipt.
Do nin change of name.You have make sure it drops before so it can be verified.
Then other necessary supporting documents.All that one is money o.It took me about 3weeks do get all the documents together.

Have anyone here successfully done a change of name recently and how long and how much did it take. .

Then change my bvn to the new name because the new name on my nin must tally with my bvn.

This process you want to embark on ehn, its you God oo. It won't be funny at all. Think it through o, if at the end it is a must you do this, just face Abuja HQ and camp there with them.

I want to make some alterations to the name and date of birth on my passport.
I am yet to make any move on this process. I want to know if it is DIY friendly or do i just contact a NIS officer which i know might be more expensive..
Luckily for me when i did the passport the NIN wasn't a criteria for passport issuance.
I want to use the new name for NIN registration and get the new date of birth from population commission..

I have been working in a care home since I arrived here 6months ago on spousal visa.

Buyers should know this truth. .
First you go for inspection, fall in love with the place then you proceed to making payments .. once you do, your deed of agreement is presented to you.
One of the clause in the agreement states that a 30% charge will be deducted if you apply for a refund within 3months from the day of payment and 40% after 4 months.
Also they will never tell you that physical allocation is only made after a payment of development levy..

Saying these coz i am a victim.
After payment of over 2.4m all revo will refund me is 960k.
Due to their 40% rule.
Payment of 600k survey for 2 plots is paid to another company so you cant get refund..

Ask further questions before investing with them. .

Sadly my sch travel didnt work due to one or two reasons. .
Funds went into something else, i got married and now i am making plans to come over.
Though not as a student but dependent .
My Wife passed ielts and hospitals are already calling her for jobs in UK.

My question are.. .
1. do you think its possible to continue with my studying wen i come.
2. As a dependent are there jobs i can do to add up and keep the family going.
3. In ur view what's ur best advise or suggestions on areas i am not considering.

My husband na my dependant
He has Been here 2 years. He is not in any of our bills, he only recently asked I transfer electricity bills to his name cos he is trying to build his credit score. I called council may be a year after being here to add him to council tax.

His name on or off our bills has never been an issue, never been raised, never been talked about.
