Hello all.
I NEED CLARIFICATION
It's been6 months plus in the UK with my family.

At the second month of arrival we rented a 3bedroom flat from a Nigerian who is standing in the capacity of an agent.
Real Landlord is an Asian.
We recently discovered that he collected the house from the Asian man on 5years rent term and subletted to us. (Adding his own fee).
Recently the Agent called me to mention that he wants the rent /direct debit to start going out on the 1st of each month whereas we moved in on the 4th.
. We've been here for 5months and have always been paying on the 2nd (initial payment was for 4th but the agent pleaded with us to take it to 2nd).

To avoid getting into argument with the man who is in his late 60's I adjusted the rent to 1st of every month then pointed his attention to the fact that the agreement he brought to me for proof reading have not been brought back for signing..
Then he then reminded me that I should know that the 3rd room I gave out to a student will be a breech if we stand by the agreement. (Before we gave out the room to the student. I personally went to his house to Inform his of my intention 1 month before we found someone to share) .

He stylishly said I was going to give him incentives when the person sharing comes but I took it as a joke.
I was surprised to hear his response.
The Landlord lives few flat away from mine and have visited me severally, seen the student and know I gave the room out for a fee. (Landlord's concern is more of keeping his house clean and not defacing his property). Which he give us accolades for whenever he comes around to say Hi.

Question
1. Should I be worried about not signing the agreement ?
PoliticsRe: Video: How I Was Tortured While In Prison - Lawyer Inibehe Effiong by IamE: 1:31pm On Sep 07, 2022
The name should be reverted to "Prison"
There is really nothing correctional about the service.
What is correction when the mental state of mind of the inmates is prisoned with the hope of getting behavioral correction.

Hello Everyone,

I saw an advert for a flat on Facebook Market place.
I sent a msg through Facebook market place and the person replied that I should send a mail.

I forwarded a mail and the response was that I can't view the apartment until I have completed a booking and payment with Airbnb who he said would take charge of the Rental process on his behalf.

I just want to know if anyone had gone through this process and hope I am not being scammed.

Thanks for your response.

I don't believe in megaphone Evangelism.
I NEVER did.
Christianity is a lifestyle.
First people must see "christ" traits in you before they can draw near or listen to you.

This is not the 80's or 90's.
Evangelism is beyond making noise with mega phone.
Let you lifestyle do the preaching

Morning all.

My landlord is behaving like an igbo man though pakistani.
It's been 3wks since we moved into this 3bed rm @750pcm minus bills.
The landlord aquirred the property barely 1month before letting out. .
Initially he didn't want to deal directly with us so he handed the key to the property to one 9ja man who gave us the place and stood for us due to credit check ish.
During our 3wks of stay it's been from one fault finding to another. It was obvious that the Paki rented the house as soon as he bought it.
We always call the 9ja man to complain but at a point I felt I was giving the man stress and the moment I got the phone contact of the landlord it's been a case of direct calls to him.
One of the instances I called to report boiler issue he was acting reluctant not responding to calls.
My wife and I walked straight to his door (he lives 4 houses away from ours) and told him some friendly words in 9ja tone. I further mentioned to him that I work at the council and can report him to housing dept if he continues with these stunt.
Omo, paki has been up and doing since then o.
Bought new boiler and installed.
Due to the installation, the heater in the palour was disconnected coz it's old and cannot function with the settings of the new boiler. Plus the radiator in one of the rooms leaks water.
It's been 1wk since he installed the boiler.
By next week I will start fresh heat on him..
.

The new one will have the number of the old one
So I think you are good to go.

jesmond3945:
how do our people in naija now get tier 2 sponsorship jobs if they have this bias? Sometimes unfortunately might not be because of c.v., it might be they found a British born or eu candidate.
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by IamE: 3:39pm On Apr 27, 2022
If you are getting so much unfortunately mails whenever you apply
go and review your CV
(Also be sure you are applying for the right job)

If recruiters respond to you mail or cv, you are on the next path.

If after interview, nobody gets back to you
work on your communication, be sure you know and can explain the much your CV claims, watch how to answer interview questions

If you cross these 2stages, you may advance to the 2nd Interview stage or just get the job straight.

Also avoid mentioning to recruiters that you are new in the country I think they have this biased thinking of african migrants.
EducationRe: Lagos Reopens Chrisland School As Probe Of Dubai Sex Scandal Continues by IamE: 12:00pm On Apr 23, 2022
The school is not in anyway to take blame.
The school did not teach the girl those moves
The mother of the girl should have shamelessly removed her child from that school, sit her at home and instill some morals into her instead of ranting and calling her family out to the stand.

I am glad the topic was not termed r*pe

You can see that there're lots of women beaters out there and our ladies need to be very careful.

It's really sickening to read some comments on this forum.
I don't know your gender but when cautioning the public u should also bring to their attention that

the power of a woman is not in her tongue and neither is the power of a man in his strength
CelebritiesRe: Osinachi: Police Parade Peter Nwachukwu Before His Kids, Relations by IamE: 11:46am On Apr 23, 2022
Who is gas lighting?
We haven't heard much from the man
It's all stories of hear say.
Hear say from people who have little or no idea of the real fact, some are just for media fame and others are the myopic and sentimental gender who are just being biased due to the gender involved.
JovialJune:
He is guilty, multiple witnesses will affirm that he is guilty, your ad hominem and gaslighting will not make it otherwise, accept this fact and rest.
CelebritiesRe: Osinachi: Police Parade Peter Nwachukwu Before His Kids, Relations by IamE: 11:40am On Apr 23, 2022
There is a statement people make to justify women Ill act
The power of a woman is in her tongue.
To the ladies reading, You all need to record the utterances u make when involved in an argument with ur partner and have a playback later when the heat is cold. .
Other times it's the emotional blackmail.
It only takes a matured man to walk out on such situations but for how long.
how long should a man walk out
I am not in anyway trying to justify the beating but sometimes the words of women hurt so badly that u wish she actually picks up a wood to flog u.

The more the man walks out, the more the ego of the woman is elevated.

The society should teach the women how not to talk rudely to their partners and to the male, they should learn how to control anger and lower their ego

I believe a sane union is one that approaches issues in a calm and mannered way.
the power of a woman is not in her tongue and neither is the power of a man in his strength

Most blacks come with bunch of responsibilities we keep attending to back home while those asians/arab will rather find a way for the ones they left at home to come hustle for them selves.
That way it is easier for them to acquire properties and rent out to the blacks.
remember not all flashy cars are fully paid for.

Xanderlex:
Omo the cheetham Hill own is something else. Cheetham Hill is to Asians/arabs as Moston lane is to naija. The average uk native believes in driving a small hatchback or golf but most of the flashy posh cars I see are Arabs/Asians. You then wonder, what are we as blacks not doing well abi isn't it same gas or diesel prices for all?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Should One Consider When Taking Up A Remote Job? by IamE: 2:44pm On Apr 18, 2022
Here is my free tip.
Whenever you get a mail from a proposed recruiter. Always run a check on the domain. If the domain is new, the chances of it being scam is high.
https://whois.domaintools.com/
Just input the domain.
