Exciton: Some people basically want a rule book covering every single step in life. What then is the fun in living if billions of people are to repeat the same thing over and over and over??
Of what use is culture if some religion is meant to direct every aspect of people's lives? It's like religion ultimately turns to culture and national identity.
This is very common in Islamization history. [Archaic ] Rules for everything. A way of life that erodes the indigenous culture of those who practice it, and over time they all see themselves as [or secretly see themselves and wish to be] "Arabs". Same, but to a far lesser extent, in Christian regions.
Most importantly, unlike culture and non-theocratic state laws which slowly changes over time, religious laws are almost immutable. This is the ultimate reason that I dislike most religions. I think it makes people have a very rigid world view, intolerant, and poor adaptability necessary for the survival of the human race. Archaic indeed. Over 1400 years ago, the Muslims were told not to eat some animals, which monkey and its family is one. Fast-forward to today, you were told not to eat them cuz of Monkey Pox. You see that Islam is an archaic Religion because The first Man and his wife were Muslims. |

twilliamx: The bible does not really emphasise on burial, it emphasises more on what matters which is making heaven, life after death, islam can lay emphasis on burial because it is a worldly religion, but the basis of Christianity is making eternal life. If they like let them dump your body in hot oil. Remember that most of Jesus disciple died horrible deaths with most of their bodies mutilated. The bible does not give respect to the flesh, but the spirit, Islam can respect the flesh all they want but we must give more attention to our souls which is what matters to God. They can throw me in the canal when am dead for all I care but may God not throw my soul in hell.. Please stop eating food, it's only good for the body. |

toltee4real: I am deeply concern as regards the dictate of Christianity as a religion, the guides and procedures for burying our dead relatives. I found it necessary to bring it up here as the Muslims has a unique way of handling it. Does bible stipulates any guidance? Western culture will tell you how to do it. Remember, christianity is the religion of the WEST. In Islam, Allah teaches us everything that has to do with ourselves and our living. But some Christians will say: What kind of Religion is Islam that doesn't Allow us to think on our own. Then we ask them; DID YOU CREATE YOURSELF? YOUR CREATOR said this is what I want, why don't you want and obey His Commandments? If Allah(God) leaves us to do everything on our own, there will be more MISCHIEVOUS ACTS on the earth. Think of it; When GOD created Adam and his Wife (peace be upon both of them), God warned them not to eat the forbidden fruit. That's a simple warning to them, and they both erred. Assuming God didn't warn them, then they shouldn't be punished for eating the fruits. GOD IS OUR CREATOR, HE KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR US. God said: Sura 5 - Ayat 90
O People who Believe! Wine (all intoxicants), and gambling, and idols, and the darts are impure – the works of Satan, therefore keep avoiding them so that you may succeed.Thats one of the warnings of Allah. ISLAM IS THE ONLY RELIGION THAT TOUCHES EVERY ASPECT OF HUMAN LIFE. MAY GOD GUIDE US TO THE STRAIGHT PATH. |

ArchangeLucifer: Islam is not a true religion.
Mohammed was simply an Arab scholar who taught about 500 years after Jesus' time when christianity was gaining grounds.
Note that around this period, Jerusalem was in the hands of Moslems before it was recaptured in 1099 by order of the Pope.
Muslims twisted Christianity and its message was lost in translation thereby forming a new 'religion'.
That's how Issa (Isaac), Ibrahim (Abraham) etc came to be Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) can neither read nor write. Year 1099, reminds me of one of the greatest and deadliest massacre the Christians attack the Muslims then. Christianity is about low key violence. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Jesus In The Quran by iamgenius(m): 11:06pm On Nov 04, 2017 |
hermosa7: While watching a YouTube video, I came across the following.
The Quran contains 114 chapters and 6666 verses. Mohammad is mentioned only 4 times in the entire Quran while the name of Jesus is found 25 times. So, why does the Quran give more preference to Jesus? No woman’s name is mentioned in the Quran except Mariam, the mother of Jesus. Quran chapter 3’s name is ‘Family of Mariam’. Quran chapter 19’s name is ‘Mariam’. Quran chapter 3 verses 45 to 55 makes 10 points about Jesus: In these verses, Jesus is described as “The Word of God”, “Spirit of God’, “Jesus Christ”.
Interesting facts any lover of truth should consider. This shows that you truly believe in the Holy Quran. |

Ara99: Any one who believes in a prophet after Muhammad (SAW) is no doubt a Kafir, whether he prays, fasts, is kind to his neighbors and his relatives and does other good deeds. These do not help him in anyway. That is the main reason why the companions of Rasulullah fought and killed the false prophet musaylimah and his followers and killed them as Kafirs without a difference in opinion among them. Mind you, we have Prophesies about the Mahdi and Ahmad Ghulam has not fulfilled any of them. The Mahdi will not be a Prophet but a Muslim and a follower of the Prophet Muhammad. The reason why this movement is so popular in this part of the country is mainly due to lack of Islamic knowledge and the fact that they are usually seen as philanthropists. May Allah bless you. |
