Ofunaofu: Good
But why vilify Emefiele for this same interventions Emefile was subsidizing the Naira. Selling it at value that is considered lower than the fair value and he was borrowing heavily to do so. |

At merger of Apc
ACN had 6 governors
Edo, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun and Ekiti (later lost to PDP after the merger) had senators in Kogi, Ondo and Benue
CPC had Nassarawa had senators across northern states
Anpp I think Borno
AFGA brought Imo
Later NPDP brought Kwara, Kano and Rivers state
Onu was a politician who was not very even important in all these alliance.
Yet, we are now being told Onu is the reason the alliance happened not ANC or CPC power brokers that were largest stakeholders in the alliance. |

Ofunaofu: In trying to intervene, are they not going to use our reserves?
Recently, it was confirmed that our reserve was depleted by $1.2 billion in eighteen days. The 1.2bn is a result of the settlement they made to some companies. Those settlement were outstanding since Emefile period. CBN are now receiving the dollars from the sales of our crude oil directly and crude is still where we earn 65% of foreign currencies. So CBN will have to intervene to protect the Naira from time to time with the money. |

True value or "Fair value" of naira is at rate CBN is able to add to the foreign reverse and defend the Naira at the same time without borrowing to do so.
Alot of expact have put that at 900 Naira to a dollar.
Emefile was borrowing money to subsidize the Naira and keep it at an artificial rate. Hence, we don't know how bad the economy has gone.
CBN are the one in control of 80% of the foreign reverse inflow into the country so they will have to intervene in the market from time to time. |

Again,you are the one lieing
You are insulting me for no reason

babasolution: Ogori is not an hybrid of ebira and Yoruba,OGORI doesn't have any Yoruba association, as an indigene I can tell you this,no ogori person can naturally speak Yoruba unless they learn it,the older generation were taught Yoruba in schools.
Ogori doesn't historically worship Yoruba gods, they have very minimal Yoruba culture, but plenty Benin related culture.
Yoruba naming convention started after ogori fled to ijebu owo during the Nupe wars and also during colonial times.
Ogori historically married many ebira women, this explains the ebira influence in ogori otherwise ogori has no relationship with ebira.
No family in ogori can trace it's origin in any part of Yoruba land, not even their Yoruba neighbours in okun or Akoko.
The ENI clan particularly recalls it's time in Benin.
There are ogoloko swords in ogori thought to emerge from Benin
Ogori crown is of Benin mould,it has been confirmed as recently as 1979. @ emboldened The biggest clown in history of Nairaland Ogori Mangogo was never under the control of western region of Nigeria or Yoruba government ever. Please research before telling baseless lies Thank you |

forgiveness: It was clearly stated in their history they came from Ife. Oludo was the first settler in one quarter while Akinbuyi in another quarter.
Unagogo was Oludo's son which later metaphor to Magogo.
Either ways, they migrated from Ile Ife but has somehow changed in language. The guy is a clown Every article point to the origin of Ogori's Yoruba origin but the Ebira later immigration from Kararafa had significant influence on the land scape of Kogi in general. |

babasolution: This history tale from this website is gotten from the book written by Gideon eyika called the people and culture of ogori,it has been discredited as not factual.
The authentic history is the one written by the late ologori GB Akerejola( history of ogori) and the one written by Baba. Oshiedu ( historical facts on ogori) quoted here which also as some disputed facts pertaining to the formation of the language,it has been proven that ogori language is not ena,it is not a mixture but an aborigine language.
The adventurous prince issue of ogori called akinbiyi as been discredited. There was no akinyibi. It is a concocted tale to legitimise ogori royalty during the colonial times.unFortunately people like this website run with it and mislead people like you. Who discredited it? Lair Show me one newspaper article or journal article discrediting it. It is obvious you are not from that place because majority of Ogori Magogo speak Yoruba language fluently. And before you lie that it's because of Yoruba politics. Ogori/Mangogo has always been in northern Nigeria control since independence. |

babasolution: According to history books written by a late king and another prominent historian from the community, they admitted that they can't decipher the exact origins of ogori-magongo.
However, history records that they were once in Benin due to some ancient swords of Benin make that ogori possesses and the ogori crown which is confirmed to be of Benin make, but ogori was probably in Benin as visitors and didn't originate from there.
Some clans also recall presence in the owo,Akoko zone as passersby probably on the journey from benin before finally settling in their current location
Some clans recall presence in as far as idomaland crossing the river Niger from the east end into ajaokuta and okpella axis, then to the northern Edo axis before settling in their current abode.
Note: that the okpella which isn't too far from ogori have in their history that they met an aborigine group called okwo in the lands they currently are.
Ogori actually call themselves okwo.so it probably might have been the same group.
Some narratives also state IFE origins but it's highly disputed and as been refuted by many historians within the community.
Some clans also state that they are autochonos and didn't migrate from anywere, the language highly supports this view.
In summary ,ogori seems to have a very ancient history, forming from an autochonos/aborigine group and later migrants from close by mainly from Benin and the Akoko zone.
Note: ogori arrived and had formed way before the ebira coming to that zone
Founding members include onu, adubane, oso, and ENI,however the name ogori is a corruption of the name of an ancestor called igoli, while mangogo is the corruption of the name of another ancestor called unagogo Ò̩KURÔGBEN Ogori-Magongo people are said to have descended from an adventurous prince of Ile Ife, one of the earliest settlements of the Yoruba ethnic nation. However the language of the community is said to have developed from an admixture of various languages usually referred to as ena (new language – Osheidu, 1990:15). babasolution: I explained the origin of this Yoruba naming convention, it was due to the missionary activities of the early Yoruba Christians in some parts of Edo, also many communities a clear case is of the igarra people in Akoko-edo who everybody agrees that they are ebira but they also bare Yoruba names including surnames,it was simply due to Yoruba influence not origins, you must understand this, the Yoruba were quite influential in the past especially during the early colonial era igarra people are of mixed origin. Not everyone in igarra bears Yoruba name or have anything to do with Yorubas. |

The first history of ife/Bini origin was written by a Bini man.
Ask why the new generation of Bini are trying to rewrite his book.
And why Bini bear Yoruba names but Yoruba don't bear Bini names.
Not even the ones that claim to come from Bini in Lagos. |

maestroferddi: Audio appreciation....
How come that with the so-called appreciation, the prices of essential commodities and consumables keep rising astronomically?
Is a genuine gain of the naira not supposed to affect pricing of locally manufactured goods and even imported ones?
Where are the voodoo economics who think with their behinds? Come and give us your habitual plausible explanations... Prices Keep rising because commodities were ordered and paid for at the 1900 Naira. Only market forces can force prices down. Once demand for the product fall because income has not yet increased significantly with price, the commodities suppliers will have no choice that for their Prices to reflect current market realities. It's already happening as some construction materials are dropping. Food is the last to react to price reduction because retailers and wholesalers take advantage of the essential nature of it. |
