solmusdesigns: If you can't afford PMS then travel with others on public transport, Governmnent should subsidize public transportation tbh. That's best way to go. More people will use public transportation instead of Private cars. |
Politics › Re: Removal Of Fuel Subsidy Is Good But Nigeria Still Have A Long Way To Go by Iamgrey5(m): 4:40pm On Jun 03, 2023 |
Once subsidy is removed,
The three areas goverment really need to work on is how to
>Empower state governments subsidize public transportation in their various states.
>Ensure Electricity supply improve
>And raise minimum wage to about 60 to 80k for government workers. |

If the customs are not corrupt they definitely will be able to stop the smuggling. So how exactly do you suggest we deal with customs that has been corrupt since the 1960s in few days? |

Firstorderwizard: The way they make blunders shocks me. Don't be surprised there's no reserve to service the shortfall. Expect fuel hoarding starting from tomorrow. Anyway, I already planned for this . Let me see whether it would be sold cheaper in Ibadan or Ekiti How how earth do you think he hasn't had meetings with stakeholders. Don't forget he is an industrial stakeholder himself. He clearly said Buhari made no provision for subsidy in the current budget. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu: Fuel Subsidy Is Gone. We Will Have A Unified Exchange Rate.(video]) by Iamgrey5(m): 2:39pm On May 29, 2023 |
SalamRushdie: The unified exchange rate is a myth in Nigeria as long as demand for dollars keep outweighing the supply of dollars , even if Tinubu floats the dollar to 1000 naira the next day it will all be bouught and sold in the black market for 1200 naira This is not true. At the current status of mutilated exchange rate, Nigeria is borrowing heavily to defend the Naira to the benefit of a few who can buy it at the controlled Central Bank exchange rate. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu: Fuel Subsidy Is Gone. We Will Have A Unified Exchange Rate.(video]) by Iamgrey5(m): 2:36pm On May 29, 2023 |
SalamRushdie: He is starting off on a bad note , even if he wants to remove fuel subsidy he shouldn't have mentioned it like this , this will only cause speculation and fuel hoarding immediately throwing Nigerians into another round of suffering in his first day in office ...
This is what he should have done :
Wait till he resumes tomorrow and then call in all the key stakeholders in oil importation and find out the true situation of things like how much is the actual daily consumption, how much fuel reserve do we currently have stored , how much is on the sea coming and plans to ease the population into the new price .. In two weeks allow Independent oil marketers start selling at any price they want while the oil majors start selling at a controlled price of 200 , then when gradually increase oil majors prices every month till it's fully deregulated..
But with what Tinubu has just done he has opened the door for chaos as wicked Nigerians will start rushing to fill up their tanks and filling stations will start hoarding in other to cash out on new prices I agree with you that what he said might create speculation and hording but I believe he must have done assessment with industry players. |

The interest rate set by Central Bank is above 18%, hence it is why cost of borrowing is too high..
The cost of borrowing will impact the ability of private business to borrow and invest.
Tinubu is saying it must be reduced.
Cbn is using it as an instrument to control inflation, but Tinubu believes Fiscal responsibility is what is needed to reduce inflation not high interest rate. |

I don't think the assassins [unknown gunmen] targeted the staff in the convoy. |
Politics › Re: Tribunal: Lamidi Apapa's Unruly Behaviour In Court Today, A Cause For Concern by Iamgrey5(m): 2:49pm On May 17, 2023 |
Summary; Lamidi Apampa is the Vice president of Labor party "South" even before Obidients knew what labor party was, while Abure was the party chairman. Labor party was chaired by the a northner for most of it's creation since 2003.
Abure was removed by his ward level party men in Edo and his suspension was ratified by a court. Hence, based on labor party's constitution, Lamidi was the next inline to take charge of the party..
However, just before Apampa could take charge, Abure who is now suspended called a national council meeting of Labor party and suspended Apampa, this will enable Abure name his own interim successor pending the time Abure will fight his suspension in Court.
Apampa saw this and decided to escalate this matter, hence the current status which Labour party find themselves.
It's simply veteran of the party fighting over the spoils of the fourtne of the party.
The new party men have already concluded based on Apampa ethnicity that He is working for Tinubu rather than understand the underlining issues. |

He won his senatorial district on the back of sai baba, he only lost out because El Rufai saw no need for him as he had no electoral value.
Not even PDP or Labour party are interested in bringing him into their party.
He is an opportunistic person who is now playing with the emotions of the Obidients to gain some traction. |

Or run mad at the end of the day. Is crime against humanity. Perjury is also a crime punishable by serving jail term these are some of the things dat can land him in jail. u gerit?. Selling drugs to people who later die has to be proved beyond reasonable doubt just like Perjury. |
