American actor and artist, Jussie Smollett has being Hospitalized After he was Injured in a conceivable Homophobic attack in Chicago
According to Tmz, the Empire star was severely assaulted by 2 men who beat him up in Chicago early hours of Tuesday morning in what police describe as a hate crime.

According to a statement from the Chicago Police Department, the actor was leaving a restaurant around 2:00 a.m. when he was assaulted;

“The Chicago Police Department received a report of a possible racially-charged assault and battery involving a cast member of the television show Empire,” reads the statement. “Given the severity of the allegations, we are taking this investigation very seriously and treating it as a possible hate crime.”

The actor took himself to Northwestern Memorial where he was treated and discharged later on Tuesday morning.

Empire co-maker Danny Strong likewise issued an announcement on the assault, which he said left him “profoundly frightened and disheartened.”

Chelsea has boosted their attacking options with the loan signing of Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.

Nigerian singer, Falz in an interview with Vanguard has revealed why he stopped going to church.
According to him, he does have nothing against the church or going to church. he furthermore stated that everyone has the right to practice the religion they desire but personally for him as a Christian, it has been a while since he attended church service.

He said,

“I have nothing against the church or going to church; everyone has the right to practice the religion they desire but personally, as a Christian, it has been a while that I have been to church. It does not make me less of a Christian.

“The most important thing is spirituality and your personal connection with God. The reason I haven’t attended a church service in a long while is because I went to a few churches and during sermons, I was put under undue pressure. There was a time that a pastor called me to the altar just to acknowledge my presence for being in church.

“In my mind, I felt that the service was not about me. I felt that everybody was there to worship God, yet they were putting undue pressure on me. The pastor gave me the microphone to address the congregation and I was puzzled; what did he expect me to say to the congregation? These are some of the issues.

“I just want to go to church and worship God like a regular member of the congregation. I do not want that kind of attention. I was hoping that I would go to church on a Sunday and it would not be like any other day I’m at a public place or doing a show,” the singer said.

On why he shaved off his beard, Falz added, “I did not shave my beard because of the album; it was just a coincidence. I was filming a project in relation to the album and I had to look a lot younger and that is why I shaved off my beard.

“I have been getting mixed reactions since I shaved my beard; some people tell me, ‘please, go and find our beard back’. I did not know that we owned the beard together. Other people told me that they love the new look and I am still a ‘sweet boy’ with or without the beard.”

Firstly, out of several opportunities afforded our candidate to interact with the Nigerian people directly by different organisations, our presidential candidate has taken full advantage of another town-hall meeting organized by another group which held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was also joined at that town-hall meeting by our Vice-Presidential candidate who is also the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN. Nigerians from all walks of life who were physically present and through on-line platforms asked uncensored questions which were adequately answered. It was also transmitted live by various broadcast networks in Nigeria.

In addition, the busy and hectic official and campaign schedules of Mr. President clashed with this programme. Today, Mr. President commissioned the Baro Inland Water Port in Niger State and campaigned in Niger and Plateau States where his time was over-stretched by the tumultuous and mammoth crowds in both States, (as seen by Nigerians on live television) and only returned to Abuja late this evening.

Whilst we thank the organisers for the invitation, we want to assure Nigerians that we shall continue to hold these debate groups and Nigerians in high esteem which our candidate has demonstrated during past election debates when he honoured similar invitations. American legendary singer, R. Kelly has been denied permits to host his concert in the of Illinois State Fairgrounds on April this year.
According to the original flyer for the Springfield Spring Break Jam which revealed Kelly was supposed to host his concert at April 6 which would have feature top celebrities such as rapper Yella Beezy and singers Young Lloyd and Dre Madison.

However, one Denise Albert who is the spokeswoman for the Dept. of Agriculture (IDOA) revealed to newsmen that Kelly permits were not granted by the Dept.

She said;

“That application was under review until Thursday, at which point Illinois Dept. of Agriculture (IDOA) staff contacted the organizer to let them know their application would not be approved. Unfortunately, we cannot control when organizers start promoting an event — there was never a signed agreement to host the event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, only an application”

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has officially spoken on the rumor making the news that she is in secret relationship with Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

A Facebook user @ Francis Okanya took to his Facebook account earlier today to describe how a woman with an unknown identity this morning set the statue of Virgin Mary ablaze at a Catholic Church in Enugu State.

The event took placed at St. Jacobs Parish Orba, Nsukka.

According to him, she waited until the end of the early morning mass before engaging on the evil act.

The suspect was arrested by the police and is currently being interrogated to know the reason for her action.
