You are welcome to Enugu

Wow nice, God bless the people of Cross Rivers and their leaders.

This is not right! This is not the best way to go when you want a breakout. Whoever is behind this act or sponsoring this act have to stop.

How I wish my fellow Nigerian youths can use this energy to go get their PVC and bring in the right persons for the job.

We thank God he is better now

I just hope they are really unknown gunmen

Every agent of destruction that wanna destabilise the country will surely meet their waterloo.

We thank God

Some police officers are just tout in official uniform. Sorry Mr. Journalist.

Buhari is going nowhere, he must serve his regime till the end.

Everyone is trying to be guided on things around them.

My thoughts today

Anything is possible with this men, but I know someday all this will be in the past.

The people's governor please hear the cry of your people. Elko Bridge needs attention.

God bless the donor and may God bless our friends too to surprise us like this.

Only 6 farmers - that is very unlike the herdsmen I have been hearing of in the news..

We pray for the souls of the dead, may they find eternal rest.

Seun:
Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland was down for two hours due to a minor miscommunication with our host that was related to copyright infringement.

It shouldn't have taken as long as 2 hours to restore Nairaland, but it took a while for us to figure out exactly what to do because it hadn't happened before, and we also had to wait for our host's support team to restore us fully after taking the necessary steps.

We are sorry for this inconvenience.

We know that keeping Nairaland working is especially important in this terrifying political climate, and we take it very seriously. Nigerians need a platform that they can use to share their views freely with each other. We believe that Nairaland is that platform.

Best Regards,
Seun Osewa.

Boss open your DM na.

So that military can take over?
Let's be reasonable please fellow Nigerians.

I think it's high time this man's case is been visited.

Try and get his name and number for questioning and necessary measures to be taken.

Wow! Nice everyone will have to start looking into Volks side.

Happy birthday to Mummy Mayor of Lagos

Cmanforall:
Today, being the 12th of June, what plans do you have?

Usually, democracy day, as it was celebrated in the past on the 29th of May, is usually marked with lots of activities including parades and sport events.
With its shift to June 12th, this year may not be as exciting as 'Democracy day' should be.
The insecurities all over Nigeria, makes one wonder if there should be celebration or better remembrance of innocent lives lost. Also, strict measures should be taken to address the security of the nation.
There is also news of possible protests in some parts of the country

Will students/police etc. march today for the state governors (particularly those States making headlines insecurity)?

What do you think?

March bawo everyone is indoors.

goatgoat093:

Okay good one and God bless him.

Be guided friends

As the nation celebrates June 12 as Democracy Day, Governor Dapo Abiodun has urged residents of Ogun State not to join any protest.

Gov Abiodun feared that resorting to protest could breed violence, saying such protests could be hijacked by those he called hoodlums and enemies of democracy, harbouring ulterior motives.

In a statement made available to DAILY POST by his new media aide, Emmanuel Ojo, the governor charged Ogun people to celebrate June 12 peacefully.

This, he said, became necessary to avoid any act that could threaten the security of the State and the nation at large.

According to the statement signed by Abiodun’s Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, it was stated that “June 12 is a day for the celebration of democracy and “we should not do anything to tarnish the day and what it stands for.”

He noted that, “M.K.O Abiola, the symbol of June 12 celebration abhorred violence.”

Meanwhile, some individuals are already mobilizing for the protest scheduled to commence on Saturday morning.

Our correspondent gathered that the protesters from the three senatorial districts of Ogun State have agreed to converge on the NUJ Secretariat, Iwe-Iroyin, Abeokuta by 7am.
