You're saying horseshit. No one cares that Hausa is a popular language.

None of our local languages have a large and complex vocabulary because we never developed whatever scientific inclinations we might have.

It's simply the truth that Hausa (or Igbo or Yoruba) CANNOT be used to teach science in an effective manner.

Simple proof: state Boyle's law in Hausa language. Or try to label parts of a microorganism in Hausa. And that's just basic stuff.

Neither are there journals or encyclopedias nor is there a large source of knowledge translated into Hausa. This means that those who only understand Hausa aren't privy to knowledge that every other person has access to.

This is EXACTLY why there's a lot of suffering in Africa. Illiteracy and a lack of reading+exploring culture. If the people were knowledgeable, they won't standby and watch the elite rape their future and that of their unborn generation.

Everything isn't about politics and tribalism. We aren't going to develop as a nation if we intend on raising potential liabilities by hiding a great wealth of knowledge from them just because of a stupid choice of language of instruction.
You just argue ignorantly and without direction.
Not even all European languages are used in higher level education for science e.t.c.
The Arabs, Chinese, Japanese and even some Europeans have to learn science in more advanced and developed languages like English, French, German e.t.c.
So, subsahara African languages like hausa does not even come into question.

I can't see where i said that Hausa should become the official language of Nigeria or thr language of higher education. It is the lingua franca of northern Nigeria just like Pidgin is to the south and that was all i ever argued on. Standard english is our federal official language and as long as every southerner is not fluent in standard british english, don't expect every northerner to be either.
As simple as ABC.

Yes, Arabs, and undoubtedly, the Arabs contributed more to the building of these ancient cities, it's obvious from the architecture and other factors.
This is the difference with the Nigerian case. In Nigeria, our ancient cities were 100% owned and built by our own empires and kingdoms, there was no single foreign input.

I want to see the ancient Kenyan city that was purely and wholly built by the sweat of the Kikuyus, Kalenjins, Luos e.t.c under the rulership of their kingdoms and empires.

And that's what makes nigeria the giant of africa.its what the others cant wrap their head around.what the use of having black politicians who hold political power but serve the economic interests of other races in their own land to the magnitude we have in kenya and s.africa.i mean its crazy especially when the 'victims' have to rationalize such under one silly rainbow coalition or multiculture,a dummy sold to them by the rapacious foreigners to limit competition.maybe indians and whites also live in kibera.waiting to see.
Exactly, the foreigners deceive them with the 'multicultural or united multiracial society' tag, whereas you find the white and Indian people living in the most exotic and affluent neighbourhoods milking their heritage and country while majority of the black people live in the slums and imterior villages with no amenities of modern life.

Worst of all, u hardly find the whites or Indians intermarrying them, they prefer to marry within their own kind and social class in order to maintain their wealth and economic domination of thr blacks. It's just so sad how black people are exploited by others even on our own soil and motherland.
Thank God for Nigeria- THE PRIDE OF THE BLACK MAN

Were Mombasa and Lamu founded purely by Black Africans? Yes or No?
Kano, Ibadan and Benin city in nigeria were ancient cities founded purely by Nigerian black african tribes.

As if you people are showing the terrible side of Nigeria. Where is Boko Haram pictures? where are the Lagos slum pictures? you're here cherry picking photos of the best parts of your country yet feel bad we do the same? The whole city of Kano is a slum yet you only post a small part of the highway traversing it. Ibadan is a dumb hole yet you post only the 15℅ that looks decent. Stop being deluded.
Nigeria is bigger than your Kenya. We have far more cities and towns than you do.
Now tell me why you can hardly find pictures of ancient houses like you can see in Kano and Ibadan in other parts of Nigeria?
For instance we have cities like Warri, Port harcourt, Kaduna, Jos, Zaria, Maiduguri, Onitsha and Ilorin in Nigeria which have over 1 million residents each but u can hardly find a section of these cities with old houses like u do in Ibadan and Kano.

Can u provide a proof to show that Kano and Ibadan have any slums or slums make up up tp half of these cities? That of Nairobi is world renowned.

Dane argument, how can you compare pidgin with your hausa language. Now I understand why Nigerians Never tally.
Pidgin in countries like Sierelone has been adopted as formal language and English visitors needs to learn it inorder to communicated fluently with the people.
With your Argument it means Nigeria can never adopt pidgin as formal language cos folks like you believe Pidgin is to South while Hausa is to North.
Pidgin can displace Yoruba and Igbo as lingua franca in the south but it cannot displace Hausa, because hausa is a much stronger language which has more speakers.

Yoruba and Igbo are spoken only by the natives of the language in one geo-political zone each, but hausa is used as a lingua franca even among hausas and non hausas in the north.

See this ignoramus.
The British broadcasting corporation (BBC), Radio france, German deutschewelle and other international radio stations broadcast in hausa because hausa is well spoken by over 150 million people in 5 different countries of Africa as a first language and lingua franca, so it is not just comparable to pidgin but it is better than pidgin.

Pidgin is a structureless language which does not have it's own writing system in Nigeria.
Almost half of Nigeria on the other hand use hausa as their lingua franca, even down to Ghana, Niger, Cameroon, Benin republic, Sudan, Chad, hausa is spoken and understood.

Actually 90℅ of Nigerian cities would be considered slums in Kenya. Look at what most of Kano (your second largest city) looks like - the whole of this would be considered a slum in a city like Nakuru.
FYI, Kano is an ancient city, built by black Africans. This section of Kano is the ancient part. The Europeans came and met this place like this where black africans were already trading across the sahara. Kano state govt has decided to maintain this old portion of it's city.

Just to correct your ignorance. Hausa language is not used in Hausa land only.
Hausa land just covers only the northwest. Most parts of the northeast and northcentral are not hausa land, they belong to different ethnic groups who have all adopted hausa as their lingua franca.
So hausa serves as the lingua franca for about half of Nigeria and it's good you learn it if you ever want to cross over from the southern half of Nigeria or just remain in your southern half of the country.

The difference from Americas hollywood, Indias bollywood, Chinas "Wandahood" and Nigerias Nollywood is the quality and script of content provision that is produced. The poorest production in the group is obviously Nigerian nollywood that is famoulsly known for its poor picture quality, lack of sound effects, epileptic scripting, confused directing, broken story lines, dysfunctional editing and use of indispensable language that does not reflect the diversity in the intended consumers. The fact that subtitles are written in broken English and use of either pidgin english and a mishmash of several dialects that dont augur well with majority movie lovers.

We talk about our issues, while they don't talk about theirs. That's why they are ok with their govt giving them just 2000mw and distributing that little amount to just a few people in Nairobi and leaving the vast majority out in the dark.
Exactly my brother. All of Nigeria is connected to power supply, our most interior villages are and this is one reason why we really have to produce more power to meet the demands of stable power supply for180million people.
U see the difference between we and these savage Kenyans is that in Nigeria we try to take our 180 million citizens along in everything we do. But for Kenyans they only care about Nairobi and a few other smaller towns, they dont care about their people living in the interior villages, bushes and serengettis, that's why they have the largest and worst slums in Africa.

Do u know that only less than 25% of Kenyans live in cities and towns with access to the basic amenities of modern life? Almost half of their citizens are still living in the stone age in forests with wildlife like the millions of masai people who still drink animal blood as their main meal.
Kenyans are the worst and most heartless Africans i know believe me, the few ones who manage to live in Nairobi do not give a Bleep about the other half of their country that live in isolation in forests, mountains and interior villages.

Just imagine, millions of Kenyans are still living like this savages below and these fools are here comparing themselves with a mighty country like Nigeria taking all it's 180- 200 million citizens along.

I think you are just so dumb to underrate the Nigerian e-commerce markets and our social network websites.

The social network you and i are on now is the largest of it's kind in Africa. The largest indigenous African social network With over 1.5 million members. It's Nigerian. It is connected to the best world search engines. Many Nigerians spend their time here and can even interract with foreigners through this medium unlike you guys who spend all your data on American owned facebook e.t.c.

I just wonder how any sane human beign can debase the usefulness of e-markets. In the most advanced countries of the world, people shop online and get their products delivered to their doorsteps almost as much as they frequent the malls. The owners of American Amazon, E-bay and other famous American e-markets are stinking filthy rich and they have created hundreds of thousands of Jobs for their country.

We have Africa's largest online malls in Nigeria while most Kenyans spend their quality time frequenting malls (many just for sight seeing) everyday as their greatest achievements. Terrible!

ICT and Technology Kenya Is Way ahead of you... Lol

We have Mpesa which is the largest African innovation to date. We also have mkopa solar and ushahidi the later of which has been used to monitor even the US elections, used in Haiti during the earthquake and Japan for disaster evasion.

Most houses that don't have electricity are powered by mkopa solar but are still not recognized as being on the local power grid

In fact, Nairobi's iHub is the largest and most popular technology hub in Africa. Cc hub in Lagos is a small hub with no windows and no parking.. Lol. I have been there a number of times.

We have extremely cheap fiber Internet connections. With as little as 5Usd you can get unlimited 5mbps of Internet per month from Able wireless.

In fact, there is NO creativity in Nigeria only copy and paste ideas. The only technology that Nigeria is known for is a million online stores(Jumia, Konga and the likes) and dozens of blogs. Andela is one of the extremely few companies to become successful on another field but even then they had to incorporate the company in the USA to have any success.. Lol. All the top leaders are not even in Nigeria.

Our stock exchange market is smaller than the Nigerian securities exchange but more automated. We also have more comprehensive companies like Abacus, valuraha, wazua, mystocks etc for analyzing exchange data at a subscription fee affordable to the common citizen compared to Nigeria. It is in fact nowadays easier to invest in our exchange for a beginner compared to the Nigerian one.

We also lead in technology in Agriculture with things like twiga foods, mfarm etc

TAX returns are ONLY filled online. All exam records for students in primary, secondary/high school and university are ONLY obtained online even public schools including admission letters nowadays.

We are recently even introducing laptops to all public primary schools to kids aged 4-13 totally free of charge since primary school education is totally free here. All secondary schools have computer labs.

One of our universities, Jkuat assembles their own laptops, Taifa laptops that are used by over 50,000 students

Our government is currently experimenting with blockchain technology which powers bitcoin for the education system to curb falsified certificates and for the lands ministry to curb falsified title deeds. This is next level shit not done by any regime in the world. Our largest bank by customer base, Equity, is also experimenting with bit coin. We also have successful startups, like Bitpesa that deal in bit coin.

Even in fields like advertisements we lead with the largest indigenous African digital marketing company that IPOed ages ago, Scangroup.

When it comes to hosting, we have the largest and most comprehensive local hosting services e.g. Node Africa. The recently collapsed Angani due to board room wrangles

Check out something like the Nairobi Dev school led by a 19yr old Martha Chelimo that sought to teach young people about tech and get work for them long before Andela came to existence. This was featured in so many publications and even got her to meet a lot of visionaries including Bill Gates.

We have way more successful women in technology and larger women outreach programs in this space with some of the largest startups e.g. Moringa school, Nds, WezaTele and many others being led by women.

Almost all tech companies in Uganda and the largest tech companies in Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda upto Mozambique are owned by Kenyans.

There is a reason why Kenya is known as the Silicon Savannah.

Hahahahaha.. This is my field and I come to consult for some of your largest tech companies in Lagos so I know what the Bleep I am saying.

Even our mobile banking is more advanced than in Nigerian despite Nigeria having larger banks. I can apply for a loan of as much as 30000USD on my banking app and have it today. Loans of small sums like 500Usd I get automatically within 10secs of applying

Just stick to uploading pictures of bleached women with excess makeup in ridiculous gowns
These are few among the numerous inventions by Nigerian scientists both home and abroad and some of these have been introduced into Nigeria already.
Let me see the list of blood drinking kenyans that can match this

1. Saheed Adepoju

He is the inventor of the INYE-1 & 2, tablet computers designed for the African market.

Bio: Saheed is the Co-founder of Encipher Limited, a Nigerian-based technology company that introduced the first android-powered tablet into Nigeria. The INYE-1, which was unveiled in April 2010 is a 7-inch resistive screen tablet. It runs android 2.1 and allows users to connect to the internet using its inbuilt WIFI card and to use an external 3G modem from GSM networks. It offers about 3 hours of battery life and allows HDMI output to HDMI capable devices.
INYE-2, which was unveiled in May 2011, is an 8-inch capacitive screen tablet. It runs Android 2.2 and allows users to connect to the internet using its inbuilt Wi-Fi card as well as its inbuilt SIM. It offers about 8 hours of battery life and allow users to connect to other USB devices.

2. Seyi Oyesola

He is credited with the co-invention of CompactOR or the “Hospital in a Box”, a solar-powered life-saving operating room which can be transported to remote areas of Africa and set up within minutes.

Bio: Seyi is a Nigerian trained doctor and inventor. He received his basic science and medical education at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, with specialist training in Anaesthesia and Critical Care in the United Kingdom and United States. In order to help bring surgical care to every region of the continent, Seyi co-developed CompactOR, or the “Hospital in a Box”: a portable medical system that contains anesthetic and surgical equipment. One major advantage of this invention is that the operating suite is light enough to be dropped into inaccessible zones by helicopter and it can be powered by solar panels.

3. Jelani Aliyu

He is credited with designing General Motors’ leading auto brand, Chevrolet Volt.

Bio: Jelani was born in Kaduna State, Nigeria in 1966. He originates from Sokoto State, Nigeria and earned an associate degree in Architecture from Birnin Kebbi Polytechnic in 1988. Upon graduation from the Polytechnic, Jelani worked at the Ministry of Works, Sokoto before pursuing additional education in the United states. He graduated in 1994 with a degree in Automobile Design from the College for Creative Studies, Detroit, Michigan and was hired by General Motors.

4. Ndubuisi Ekekwe

He is credited with the development of microchips used in minimally invasive surgical robots

Bio: Ndubuisi is the founder of First Atlantic Semiconductors & Microelectronics Ltd. He holds a U.S. Patent on a microchip used in minimally invasive surgical robotsand was part of the team that created XL sensor inside the iPhone and iPad.

13.Mohammed Bah Abbah

Although he holds no patent on this invention, he is credited with taking on the challenge of making accessible the “pot-in-pot refrigerator” or “zeer”, a refrigerating device that does not use electricity, to people in rural areas. He is a recipient of the Rolex Award for Enterprise, an award that provided $75,000 which Mohammed used to produce and distribute his invention in 11 northern states in Nigeria.

Bio: Mohammed developed his pot-in-pot refrigerator by combining the knowledge he had gained from his grandmother’s craft of traditional pottery with simple laws of physics. He followed up on the idea by placing food in a small pot, which is then placed in a larger pot. The space between the two is filled with moist sand and a wet cloth cover is used to cover the whole set up. As the water in the moist sand evaporates through the larger pot, it carries heat away from the inner core of the whole set up.
Mohammed holds no patent on this invention because the pot making business is not new. What is novel is the fact that he set up a local production facilities to provide the pot-in-pot for the cost of $2 (N320) for the smaller pot-in-pot refrigerator and $4 (N640) for the bigger versions. 75% Nigerians lack access to regular power On November 10, 20152:06
By Sebastine Obasi
Despite the huge investments made in the energy sector since the privatisation of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, about 75 percent of the Nigerian population still live without access to regular electricity supply. Power Power According to The Nigerian Association of Energy Economists, NAEE, despite statistics indicating that 45 percent of the country’s population is currently connected to the national grid, regular supply is still restricted to just about 25 percent of the population. This is coming as the International Finance Corporation, IFC, said that constant regular power supply will ensure overall prosperity and development for Nigeria. Most of the people with access to electricity are found within the urban areas of the country, thus leaving citizens in the rural areas with less access to electricity supply. NAEE therefore raised concern on economic redundancy in these parts of the country, adding that despite the importance of energy to economic development, large proportions of Nigerians still lack access to electricity. The National President, NAEE, Mr. Wumi Iledare, who stated this at the 2015 World Energy Day, said energy contributed greatly to the transformation of the world and provided comfort to the human race. He, however, noted that the association was concerned that majority of Nigerians do not have access to energy, stressing that for those with some form of access, availability and quality still remain major issues to contend with. “Nigeria has vast and varied energy resources, both renewable and non-renewable resources. The nation is also the largest economy in Africa with a GDP (gross domestic product) of about $531.8 billion, according to the World Bank, yet the nation still faces serious energy poverty issues, with energy supply falling short of energy demand. “It is estimated that the nation has as much as 90 percent deficiency in electricity supply while in off-grid areas where some 50 percent of Nigerians live, access to electricity is practically zero. Even in on-grid areas, power outages are still a recurrent theme and this has continued to pose serious constraints to economic development. “There is obvious inequity in energy access based on levels of income, and location. Access is nearly 100 percent in developed countries, compared to 60 percent in the developing countries.

Yes, power supply may not be regular, but the most rural and interior areas of Nigeria are connected to electricity and that is the main point am trying to make.

Actually not all Kenyans drink blood my very bitter sister. We agreed earlier it is the Maasai, and we showed you how they dress. Kenya has it cultures too, there are many Nilotic people who practice different cultures, there are many Bantu people who have their own set of culture, there are cushitic people who have their culture too, there are Indians who celebrate their culture, people at the cost have a lot of Arabic influenced culture that we call the swahili culture etc. You cannot group 44 million people as one cluster culturally, now can you??
Did you know the whole of East African Federation has 30 million less people that Nigeria?? And everyone knows about tourism in Kenya, entertainment in Nigeria only and mostly serves sub saharan africa. The people who like your uncreative music that is. And our minister of tourism has done a lot of work, dont insult us. His name is Najib Balala, he wears Swahili clothes fro time to time, google him
I know that it is the masais who practice everyday blood drinking, but all of u confirmed to me that animal blood actually tastes nice. So what is wrong if i label u all blood drinkers?
Kenyan tourism is overhyped, how much is the industry worth? About $1 billion dollars? With all the money your govt invested into it?
You call our entertainment industry crap amd Nigerian musicians for instance have been featuring American artistes since 2010, we have also been winning all manners of the best entertainment awards in the world?

Swahili clothes my foot. You have no developed and advanced culture. Borrow from the Ethiopians.
Kenya can never ever develop such beautiful and exotic indigenous fabrics and fashion styles like Nigeria, even in 100 years to come.

Wrong theory.
Nigerians even migrate to Mali, Cameroon, Ivory coast, Ghana, Somalia and everywhere, just like the Chinese migrate to Africa.

Africans deport chinese too, what do u have to say? Read this link, Ghanaians (my west african brothers) deoprt Chinese illegal workers a lot.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/06/ghana-to-deport-some-200-chinese/

U see, we west Africans are not people of low self esteem like u guys who worship anybody with white skin, in your own eyes anybody with white skin and wavy hair is like a god who can never commit crimes and they are all welcomed in your country. That's why foreigners keep controlling your country while the blacks live in slums.
