well, i have to say here that i did not run away. both sides played well and France won in the end. Zidane's goal goes to my list of "World Cup '06 Classic Goals". scoring against his own keeper (Real Madrid) was sad and for that kind of goal, Casillas should be made 2nd choice in Real. i advise them to go get a better #1.

i can't really say about who will win between England & Portugal. but i do know that if luck carries them through to the semis', they should prepare for a 3rd place match against whoever. history has it that the Portuguese coach has always had his side defeat the English team (World Cup '02, Euro '04). it's either England breaks the jinx on saturday or go down history lane of defeat again.

by the way, Beckham was lucky with his free kick (i think fluke) because that was like one of the poorest games in the tournament so far.

let's leave the coach out of this and concentrate on these players working hard to make history. i have enjoyed their game so far and your GUNNER skipper hasn't impressed me from match 1. Zidane sef is getting older. shouldn't he have like grand kids by now with all that hair going bald??

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i got free bottles of beer after betting that Brazil (OBVIOUSLY) was going to win. Ghana tried, no doubt. their finishing i would just say was poor, and i wasn't too impressed with the refree's decisions on the pitch (esp. against Ghana). however, when you subtract 3 goals from 2 offside goals, you still have 1 legitimate goal which equals to Brazil's win. it's rather sad that the World Cup ends for them on saturday when they meet my '06 team- Espana (that's right, they're kicking France out tonight).

@Rhod England ain't going nowhere close to the finals.
