PoliticsRe: PDP Will Return To Power In 2019 - Jonathan, Atiku Says by IBBG(m): 10:00pm On Jun 20, 2018
what is this dankwambo guy even doing sef. Atiku is busy trying to woo stake holders, and dankwambo seems to be relaxed and unconcerned. if he has interest in the presidency he should have been showing it now. To me Atiku is more serious and interested, although dankwambo is someone i'll support, but atiku's effort is beginning to win me over.

PoliticsRe: Road To 2019; President Muhammadu Buhari Versus Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo by IBBG(m): 11:20pm On Jun 03, 2018
i prefer dankwambo. He seems to be cut from a different cloth. And he will be more easy to sell to all geopolitical zones unlike other candidates being bandied around.

On a serious note, Dakwambo remains the only option we have for presidency in this nation. When u go to Gombe state u will know he has actually performed to the measure of their resources. Believe me and u, this man can definitely make a difference
his track record is good. i don't why he is yet to declare his intensions.

Trump is new to politics and he's doing fine
American govt has been developed into system, even a dummy will look great as American president. Nigeria has no system, we can't afford a newbie with no track record. he will be a disaster
PoliticsRe: 2019 Elections: Omoyele Sowore's Manifesto by IBBG(m): 9:31am On Apr 21, 2018
emperormossad:
I see reasoning in what you say. But last week Saturday I listened to him on radio discuss about his ambitions. He insisted he does not want to run for governor or senate. He said those whose calling involve those positions should do that. He's got his eyes on the top job. I don't really know so much about him, use to read Sahara reporters back then though. But I'll run through his profile and ruminate.
We need to be seeing feasible but daring visions not rhetorics that don't lift a feather.
We need to see plans, not accusations. We got to be very careful. This is a very crucial point in our democracy.
you don't just wake one day and decide to run for president especially in country like nigeria. If that has been his ambition then he should have started contesting for political positions before now. All of this process moulds and develops you in the art of diplomacy. dare i say that if hand over the presidency to Sowore he will fail, because Nigeria is not like America that is highly sytematized such that even dummy at the helm of affairs will be made to look like a genius because of strong and functional system on ground. In country like nigeria with no system, you need political experince otherwise you will be roasted and made to look like a nincompoop by the political hawks and vultures. E.g GEJ and now PMB. To me Sowore is not ready to be our president. As an entrepreneur, i will rather entrust my company to a manager with track record of perfomance and prior experince than to a manager with no track and no track record. We can't blindly hand over the destiny of over 200 million people to somebody with no track record. In the business world that is suicicdal, how much more an entire country.
PoliticsRe: 2019 Elections: Omoyele Sowore's Manifesto by IBBG(m): 9:16am On Apr 21, 2018
MrALIVE:
I disagree.true leadership and willingness to do the right thing is not measured by any government position you have occupied in the past..al of them who claim to be former this and former that have all failed woefully
the present president never occupied or chair any thing or lead any group or organization after been ousted from power during the coup. But when he was campaigning for this post, it was all rhetorics not knowing what governance in this terrain especially in democracy entails. Look at how his performance has turn out. Nigeria is not like America whose governance has been developed into systems such that even a slowpoke will be made to look like a genius when he is at helm of affairs. Nigeria is one of the countries that takes more than sound rhetorics to lead. Even if apply you for a job, they will still ask for working experience, or employment history, because they want to see your track record. Heck even banks also ask for credit history in order to establish a track record and boost their confidence. At this point in time in our history, we can't just entrust the destiny of over 200 million people to someone based on faith alone.
PoliticsRe: 2019 Elections: Omoyele Sowore's Manifesto by IBBG(m): 9:08am On Apr 20, 2018
let other candidates start bringing their manifesto for us to vet too. Sowore is sound but the platform to push for his ambition will be a tall order. However i think him contesting for the post of governor or senator will be more realistic than a president, so that we can judge by track record and not just mere rhetorics.

BusinessRe: What London School Of Economics Did Not Teach Africans by IBBG(m): 1:15pm On Apr 13, 2018
quite an educating post. The day the gold standard was abolished, money officially became just a piece of paper with numbers assigned to it. And american dollars being the reserve currency of the world, meant that America could easily print as much money as they want to pay their debt, since gold was no longer required to settle debt.
what this implies for an average investor is that, money is no longer a store of value, since govt of the world can easily print money and devalue the existing pool of money. Rather physical assets are a store of value.
PoliticsRe: #inflationrate In Nigeria Since 1999.....the WORST Under Obasanjo! by IBBG(m): 1:03pm On Apr 13, 2018
trillville:
While high inflation is always bad, but what causes the high inflation is more telling of the welfare of people than just the mere presence of high inflation.

There are 2 types of inflation
Demand pull: occurs when the masses are getting richer and the economy does not have enough goods to meet demand to producers increase prices to meet a balance with supply. Obasanjo era.

Cost push: Local currency (naira) loses value increasing the cost of purchasing raw materials and finished goods. Prices rise as a result of a devaluation of the currency, pushing the cost of imported goods higher. Buhari era.
God bless you for this analysis. their propaganda won't fly. I always say i prefer i a demand pull inflation than a cost push inflation. because a demand pull inflation encourages investors to invest because of a readily available market willing to buy. But a cost push inflation discourages investments, because cost of production makes it unreasonable to invest, and morever who will buy at such an exhobitant price?
