slydog:i thought of that but a muslim muslim ticket won't fly. |
CyynthiaKiss:There is no way igbo will vote buhari. the only way that may happen is if buhari will drop osinbajo for a very likable igbo candidate, loved by the igbos. i don't mean the likes of rochas or ngige. buhari shot himself in the foot with his grandstanding especially in the SE. One thing with the igbos is that they don't pretend when they hate you. they make sure that you are aware that they hate you. majority of the igbos will rather throw away their vote than vote a buhari in 2019 if not for anything but to make a statement that they will never support a buhari. even buhari himself knows this |
senatordave1:lol.100k is still a landslide victory for PDP |
toofit007:i will not dignify you with a response after this. |
Ovamboland:sorry i miss calaculated. it was suppose to be 2026 i meant |
alabi484:baba who knew osinbajo when buhari took him as his vice. compared to osinbajo jimi agbaje has more electoral value even now. |
alhassanyusuf29:lol. i like your hubris. Buhari is very beatable in 2019. if PDP give their vp slot to the west |
rajiraymond:Lol. Left for me it will be Atiku/Jimi agbaje. Let me see how buhari will fly and win. Most undecided south westerners will readily vote Atiku when paired with jimi agbaje. ss/se will be on lock down, while north will be split. Atiku/Agbaje 2019. |
asobo:Thank you very much. Politics is more like a game of chess, you have to be able to see all your moves before making one. Politics is won more by strategy before action, hence why the likes of saraki and tinubu is hailed even with their shady past. It is more for their political strategy and sagacity that has earned them a particular respect |
krendo:Lol. There is nothing wrong in discussing strategy and permutations. PDP have a glorious chance to shoot itself back to the top, helped by APC's ineptitude in governance |
asobo:True talk. All the political heavy weight in the country will always remember the sacrifices they made to defeat buhari and will readily backed an igbo presidency in 2023 for their prominent role. By trading the VP slot they may stand to gain a presidential slot in 2023 in PDP based on zoning. |
Ndonu101:That is why i believe PDP winning lies in the hands of the south east willing to trade the VP slot for speakership to win the presidency in 2019. Along side the speakership slot, south east can also compensated with ministerial appointments as well. PDP have a huge task on their hand in terms of begging and persuading the south east to make the sacrifices in other for the party to win in 2019. The target is to split buhari stronhold which is the north and the west, the central is already tillting towards the SS/SE, the saraki factor is playing a role already. PDP can not allow buhari to win block votes in the south west or the game is over for them. PDP really need to strategize properly to take buhari out, because as it is now his political reputation is already limping. Proper strategy will finish him at the polls. Anything other than that buhari will coast to victory. I would even recommend jimi agbaje for the VP slot in the south west, since he is a very likable person in the south west, east and south. |
Kingosytex:Lol. you know that is far fetched especially in nigeria today. |
Since the president seat has been zone to the north, i assume Atiku is the only presidential candidate with the cloud, means and funds to beat buhari. The vice president seat should go to a suitable candidate in the west with electoral value either jimi agbaje who is liked by both west, east and south. Or if possible lure one of the influential opposition politician in the west with a VP seat and watch how the south west vote is split The senate president seat should go to north central, preferably saraki. The speaker of the house seat should go to the south east. deputy senate president and deputy speaker should go to the south south. If buhari is to be defeated sacrifices has to be made in the PDP. They will have to trade the VP seat to the South west to a candidate with electoral value and respect (not fayose, he can be appointed incharge of EFCC lol) if possible from the opposition party (APC). If PDP can think strategically and act strategical without been blinded by sentiments, buhari is very beatable in 2019 polls. They can put the final nail on buhari already battered political image. Anything outside this will be extremely difficult to win. PDP need every region to defeat buhari. My south east brothers should please be willing to sacrifice the VP slot to defeat buhari. You are not sidelined at all. The VP slot from the south west negates the osinbajo factor and proves to the yorubas that PDP is a national party and is willing to accomodate them. Even if PDP don't win there, they need to gather as much vote as possible from the south west region and with the north vote already split, the check mate will be the block votes from south south and south east. mind you i'm from south south, cross river state to be precise. |
From the resoonse i've seen from the APC guys in this forum. I think PDP should give the ticket to Atiku, among all the candidates it is atiku they dread the most because they know he has the means and the funds to match buhari in an election, hence their fear disguised as ridicule especially on atiku. Once atiku clinches the ticket you'll see this guys shivering because they know buhari's days in aso rock is numbered already. Aside from that any other candidate will not hold a candle light to buhari. Whether you like it or not Atiku is a political heavy weight. I'm so sure if he clinches the ticket with a south west VP, he will clinch the presidential ticket |
jimi agbaje for vp from the south west |
A mixed economy is more preferable |
this news is so fake as fake can be. |
IME1:This is really sickening. They are contributing immensely to the decadence in our society. |
I'm wondering can't the local sports broadcasting channels in nigeria form a consortium and buy the EPL broadcasting rights to beam live matches in Nigerian alone and distribute it among themselves. We have the population size of atleast 6 or 7 African countries join together with almost half of our population made up of football loving fans. With this, they can outmuscle DSTV in Nigerian market and provide competition. DSTV monopoly on EPL does not extend to North Africa because they have negotiated their own deals there. Nigeria has the consumer base to negotiate for their seperate EPL broadcasting rights without being boxed together with other African countries. |
Oluwasaeon:Never underestimate the power of the media at the same time. The media can reach places that you can only dream of reaching in your wildest imagination. The media is very powerful in shaping the consciousness of people. lets always look at the big picture for once in Africa. Having control over our media gives us the power to influence and tell the African narrative and promote the African heritage in the continent, thereby porjecting the pride of Africa to the rest of the world. |
I've watched BBC, CNN, CGTN, DWTV, FOX News, but one thing i noticed is that whenever they are trying to cover or report Africa to the world, they usually do it from their own perspective, and not the African perspective. No matter how these foreign media houses try to report Africa they can not really capture the indegenous African perspective which in most cases are at variance with their perspective. Or it seems Africa is still underrating the power of the media in the 21st century as no media houses in the world can report Africa better than African themselves. BBC reports their news from the British and European prespective, CNN and FOX from the American perspective, CGTN from the Chinese and Asian prespective and DWTV from the German and European perspective. What is Africa really doing. Unfortunately Nigeria that is the giant of Africa in terms of population size with so much potential, that is suppose to promote the frontier of Africanism from the African perspective is struggling and gasping for breath, riddled with endless cycle of bad leadership, is still crawling on it knees trying to survive, with an outdated NTA. How i wish Channels TV has the support and cloud of NTA. Southafrica with its level of appreciable infrastructural development that is suppose to step in and play the big brother role in Africa considering Nigeria has failed is more hell bent on zenophobia against other African countries especially against Nigerians and exploitation. I'm even more dissapointed with Southafrica for not really championing the African perspective with its relative level of advancement. They seem to only be interested in only themselves and with the aid of foreign powers (China) to exploit Africa trade wise. The Morrocans and Egyptians see themselves more as Arabs than Africans. It is unfortunate that Africa will always lag behind and be used to wipe the floor by other continents of the world. It is so disheartening being an African right now, and I pray Africa wakes up one day, Nigeria especially. Africa is struggling because Nigeria has not gotten it right. An advanced Nigeria will translate into Africa being a power house, because whether we admit it or not, Nigeria is the engine room of Africa. Nigeria has the deepest root of Africanism than any other African country and has the potential to move Africa forward. You can't discuss Africa without mentioning Nigeria. And whether we admit it or not, other African countries still look up to Nigeria inspite of our internal problems and challenges. The foreign powers know this. Nigeria is Africa and Africa is Nigeria. How i wish our political leaders will wake up and live up to expectations and harness our potential as the power house of Africa. |
IME1:God bless you, we need more of you in Nigeria. Its people like you, who still make me believe that Nigeria still has hope. Unlike our useless politician |
wow! this is laudable. I hope to start something like this soon. To distribute note books and text books to primary school pupils in my state. One way to promote education. |
This news has no substance at all. Chelsea are not selling willian. He will be key in chelsea's title push. Maybe next season they will |
seunmsg:we want total restructuring not partial. If he can't give us that then he should shush. |
We no want 13 percent o. We want restructuring rather |
buhari still talking like opposition candidate, not incumbent president. |
maursatt:if we follow your line of thought. We can as well scrap out the entire police force. Before the military took over power we were practising state police. We can't play politics with security of lives. |
Mutemenot:hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. chai! |
It can not be overempasized that 50 percent of this country's problem is hinged on the structure of government we run as a nation. As the way the country is currrently structure kills efficiecncy and innovative drives at the state level. The FG as constituted is like a behemoth that cannot harness the potentials of the nation and is also hindering states from harnessing such potentials by taking hold of so much with little competence to judiciously. So ahead of the 2019 elections Nigerians should support candidates with a clear agenda and blueprint for restructuring. |
