This man is an epitome of the kind of leader this country needs. He has the track record. How i wish PDP can pick him as vice president. |
Smithkafors:i thought i am the only that noticed it. They don't know that they are even irritating. No amount of trolling will make people vote for a candidate they don't want. Realities will dawn on them in 2019. |
frowland:intra party debate does not really concerns us the general electorate it concerns the party delegates more than us to pick the candidates, morever the intra party manifesto has taken care of that. But inter party debate is necessary because you and i must vote them into power. So, i'm only canvassing for what i'm directly involved in and i have the power to pick. |
frowland: |
senatordave1:I don't have time to engage in frivolous arguments. i hope you know there is a difference between governorship and presidential elections. supporting a governor does not necessarily translate into supporting the presidency. The realities will dawn on us all as the presidential elections draws closer. |
Lols. This is a case of realizing that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Dino and other stalwats have now realize that jona is a true democrat compared to the current occupant of aso rock. The good thing is jona has a beautiful heart and always willing to forgive and make peace. Watch as PDP gather steam from now onward and blow APC out the scene for the presidency 2019. APC will not have it easy like the elections in 2015. This current crop vying for presidency are very aggressive bunch unlike the meek jona they were bullying every where. My prediction is that APC will win more governorship than PDP by a small margin. But PDP will clinch the presidency. PDP are putting all their eggs in one basket by gunning for the presidency. |
May the best team win. however after primaries, we must have a presidential debate. |
Local Governments are created with the ultimate goal of bringing government closer to the people at the grassroots. The Local Government Council gives the opportunity for the institutions of governance, social Integration, economic Development, political Affiliation and cultural Growth. Taking into consideration, the Size of our territory, Population, Economic viability, Common interest of law and communities and for our Administrative convenience and effectiveness, our Local Government was created 27 years ago, on the 27th of August 1991 by the Abacha led Federal Government. Good People of Obanliku, 27 years after creation this is where we find ourselves, a place of Political Imposition, selectocracy, and Politics of Personal Development. Our Local Government does not have any Economic or Political Development Plan, We are treated as Minority in a Disadvantaged Position. Our Politicians have become Political Soloists whose duties have been Relegated to Lip servicing and Political Nepotism. We sit and wait for Every Four years so as to Listen to another opportunity for Political Promises. We’ve been Deceived by a selected few to believe in their calculated political Formula. Let’s come together to solve our problems rather than Putting blames on our Ancestors, what crime did our ancestors commit that is worst than that of the countries that are succeeding today. We are suffering from Political Formula and structure that does not consider the Mandate of the People. 27 years After creation, The People of Obanliku are still Lacking in Terms of Proper Political Representation across the State. 27 years After creation, the same People who were part of the Decisions of Creation are still revolving around the corridors of Power. 27 years after creation, the Same Political Decisions that has Put us in an underdeveloped condition are still being made. I therefore call on the Obanliku People to arise from slumber and come together to correct the Mistakes of 27 years. Let’s chart a new Political and Economic history and Begin a New chapter that our Children will be Proud of. On this Note, I AWADE FRIDAY KAMIE hereby Offer myself for service, to represent the people of Obanliku in the State House Of Assembly come 2019. In the Shortest possible Time I will be unveiling My social contract and Document of Hope for a new Obanliku. Join me on this Journey as we Redeem Obanliku from the Claws of Political Giants. Let’s Return power to the People I am AWADE FRIDAY KAMIE “THE MANDATE OF THE COMMON MAN” HAPPY 27TH ANNIVERSARY TO OBANLIKU. Thank God you know. I laugh at his deluded supporters who are doing everything possible to sell the facade that he will win. Let PDP finish their primaries, which i feel the ticket will be go to either Tambuwal, kwakwanso or Atiku. And watch how the momentum will swing in PDP's favour. He has lost a lot of goodwill and supporters many of whom will not vote him or choose not to vote at all. I predict that in the governorship election APC may win a higher number of states 55% to PDP 45%, but PDP will clinch the presidential elections. So far, buhari is the worse of all presidential aspirants. |
time to weed out unpopular candidates. |
is this necessary when we already have NDA? |
just patiently and quietly waiting for 2019 elections, where this buhari myth will be busted. |
one word. Wow! |
why not just convert the place into a normal shopping mall for now and just maintain the hotel side. Until when the conditions become favourable to expand into a world class tourist centre. |
The executive is trying to blame the legislature for its ineptitude. The legislature should ensure they trim the bogusness out of the overbloated inec budget. |
so many people on this thread ranting rubbish. Atleast is better than what aregbe has find impossible to fulfill. Bayelsa will also be counted among the states with airport, whether its a one bed room flat or a shopping, it doesn't matter, as long as is safe for aeroplane to land and take off, then it is an airport. It is better than going to another state to catch a flight. morever i find the size of the airport okay for a small state like bayelsa with a population of just about 1.5 million people. Were you expecting to see an airport the size of muritala mohammed airport for a small state with probably the lowest population in nigeria. Most people in this forum are just good at ranting without making use of their head |
highly commendable |
guys pls always click on the link. don't just accept what this bmc guys are posting online. |
hisgrace090:almost double the size of other countries in landmass. |
10 – Algeria Algeria, at 2.38 million square kilometers, is the tenth-largest country in the world by area and the only African country in the top 10. Situated in Northern Africa, Algeria has a Mediterranean coastline 998 km long. 90 percent of the country is desert, and much of its desert regions are highly elevated. The Tell Atlas mountain range runs along the country’s northern border, while the interior, much of it hundreds of meters above sea level, contains the Algerian portion of the Sahara desert. The massive Algerian Sahara extends all the way to the south of the country past its borders with Niger and Mali. 9 – Kazakhstan Kazakhstan’s 2.72 million square kilometers stretch over vast plains and highlands. A cool and dry, but not quite desert-like, climate prevails for most of the year. Kazakhstanis experience a great range of temperatures throughout the year, though it doesn’t get as cold in Kazakhstan as it does in parts of its northern neighbor, Russia. Formerly part of the USSR, the largest nation in the world for most of the 20th century, Kazakhstan’s current main claim to fame is its status as the largest landlocked country in the world—and the only landlocked country in the top 10. 8 – Argentina Argentina, the world’s 32nd most populous country, is the world’s eighth largest, and the largest Spanish-speaking nation in the world by area. Its 2.78 million square kilometers include some of the most varied geography and climate in the world. Swampy, tropical conditions in the very north give way to freezing glacial regions in the south. Patagonia, one of the most spectacular and dangerous places on the planet, stretches from the southern Andes in the west to the Atlantic Ocean in the east. The southern tip of Argentina , known as Cape Horn, is one of the stormiest locations on the globe. 7 – India India’s boundaries have changed quite a few times over the past century, and even still, India claims that the northern region of Kashmir (an area disputed with Pakistan) belongs under Indian control completely. As it stands, without Kashmir, India’s territory stretches for 3.29 million square kilometers. China, Pakistan , Bangladesh and Nepal each share a border with India, and its geography ranges from the majestic Himalayan Mountains to the tropical shores of the southern peninsula. Geologically, India is found on it’s own subcontinent, and geological studies show that this whole nation and it’s close neighbours were at one time separated from Asia by a sea. 6 – Australia The approximately 4.4 million square kilometer difference between Australia and India represents the second-largest size difference between countries ranked consecutively in the top 10. Australia, at around 7.69 million square kilometers, is over twice the size of India. It’s the largest country in Oceania by far. Technically it is so large that it doesn’t even qualify as an island, it is a continental landmass. The vast majority of its population live in coastal cities like Sydney in the east and Perth in the west, and with good reason: the Australian Outback is one of the world’s driest and hottest regions. Along with extreme climate and geography, Australia is known for its spectacular—and often deadly—wildlife. 5 – Brazil The largest country in South America at over 8.51 million square kilometers, Brazil plays home to much of the world’s largest rainforest, the Amazon. The Amazon is so dense and vast that explorers and scientists have found human civilizations that had never made contact with the outside world. Brazil also has a lengthy Atlantic coastline on the eastern side, which stretches approximately 8,000 km. Most of its major cities, including Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo exist near the coastline. 4 – People’s Republic of China China, the United States of America , and Canada each occupy just under seven percent of the globe’s surface. Of these three, China is the smallest—just barely—at approximately 9.6 million square kilometers. It shares a border with 14 different countries, including Afghanistan to the east, Russia to the north, and Vietnam to the south. It is the largest country entirely in Asia . Its climate and its people vary dramatically. In the north, temperatures drop to subarctic levels, the center of the nation holds the Gobi, the world’s 4th largest desert, and in the south temperatures reach tropical levels regularly. With over 1.35 billion citizens, China is home to 56 recognized ethnic groups, has the world’s 18th largest Muslim population, the 19 th largest Christian population, and with 1.9 doctors per 1000 people, China has more doctors than the entire population of Qatar. 3 – United States of America The United States, just bigger than China but slightly smaller than Canada , occupies 9.63 million square kilometers. Bordered by Mexico to the south, and Canada to the north, the United States is home to a diverse array of geography and wildlife. Two North-South features split the nation into three distinct pieces. West of the Rocky Mountains, the Pacific states are known for year round temperate weather and long expanses of beach along the California coast. Sandwiched between the Rockies and the Mississippi River, the great plains stretch from Canada to Mexico, giving the United States one of the world's most fertile growing areas. Lastly, the third of the nation east of the Mississippi is the industrial and economic hub of America, with major cities spread all along the Eastern seaboard. 2 – Canada Canada’s 9.984 million square kilometers make it the largest country in the western hemisphere, and its 202,080 kilometer coastline means that it has a longer shoreline than any other nation. With a population density of 4 people per square kilometer, this means that each of Canada's 35 million people could have 61 acres for themselves. Positioned between the Arctic and the United States , Canada’s massive frozen tundra extends into the Arctic Circle. Split similar to the USA; in the western half of the country, the Rocky Mountains run north to south, and prairies provide huge grain and canola growing areas. Eastern Canada is the traditional heart of the nation, with Toronto, Montreal, and the national capital of Ottawa, all located in the East. 1 – Russia Russia’s 17.1 million square kilometres easily make it the world’s largest by area. In fact, if Russia were to lop off 7 million square kilometers, it would still be the largest—and the lopped-off section would rank seventh overall! Like China, Russia borders 14 different countries. Unlike China, none of Russia is tropical, though humid summers prevail in much of southern Russia. The Taiga, the world’s largest terrestrial biome, extends all the way from Eastern Canada throughout the vast majority of northern Russia. Massive oil reserves exist underneath Russia’s frozen forests and tundra; however, due to the expense and difficulty of extracting it, much of Russia’s oil wealth remains untapped. https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the-largest-countries-in-the-world-the-biggest-nations-as-determined-by-total-land-area.html |
the falconets are playing rubbish. is as if they lack stamina. I no fit waste my time the watch this rubbish. tunning to another channel now |
such claims is highly laugable and mere fables concocted for beer palour jist. |
coming a little bit too late. He has lost the initial momentum he had from the beginning. Was too quiet and invisible. Lacks the resources to fund his campaign. |
maestroferddi:thumbs up. you clearly are verse in cross river state politics, not someone who is not even based in the state trying to claim to know more than those residing here and ears on ground as to the political happenings in the state |
alhassanyusuf29:lol. so is it now the birthright of SW to produce the president? if the SW is not willing to trade their position for presidency then the south can forget ever producing the president in the future. Because when a SW candidate is pitched against the north in a presidential contest with the SW claiming political supremacy the SS/SE will simply vote the north. And your guess is as good as mine the north will definitely win. By the way when you insinuate SE is claiming birthright over something it is totally wrong because they have the right to agaitate for it because its been like forever since last had the presidency. Infact with your assertion so far it is even the SW that wants to claim the presidency for themselves as a birthright down south, because they have had 8 years of presidency and 4 yours of presidency compared SE having none at all. Atleast we in the SS have 5 years and we are contented. we are saying it is only fair the SE have their as well. It is not the birthright of SW. |
usmanbaba:Yes they can. |
even if the north does 8 years, the plan is the presidency rotated to south, the SE should be the zone it is given to. I am from SS, it is only fair when the presidency comes down to the south again, the SE clinches it. Especially in the PDP. |
Nels55:True. Most APC folks are seriously praying PDP do not give the ticket to atiku, because they know he is the only politician in the north the send PMB out of aso rock. Hence the heightened attack and media propaganda against atiku |
bender79:baba election is won based on how many states you win and not just based on number of votes cast. if you win 10 states with the highest votes cast, and someone wins 26 states with the votes cast less than the ten states, the person with 26 states wins. thats why winning or atleast getting 25 percent in other region is important. then your strong hold can be the decider for you. If not so most politician wouldn't even bother campaigning in states with low population, they would have just targeted states with huge population like lagos, kano, oyo, kaduna. and forget about the rest. |
maestroferddi:We that are in cross river knows that APC has no base in this state. like you said Owan enoh committed political blunder when defected to APC. He should have learnt what happened to senator princewill otu when defected from PDP. Infact even in the APC in the state owan enoh is not even sure of winning the primaries. Because ndogma egba and Usani Usani from central are also eyeing the seat. PDP will still sweep all the senatorial seats. |
alhassanyusuf29:lol. to say the truth, after the north, the SE should be considered for presidency or we can as well kiss the presidency coming to the south good bye. The SW have had 8 years presidency and vice presidency, it is pure greed for the SW to still eye presidency after the north. Because SS and SE will not support a SW presidency when clearly the SE are yet to produce one. It is only fair it zone to them after the north's turn. |
BabaO2:i think it should be 2026. By then more leaders will emerge form the SE. Not the likes of okorocha or ngige |
