Anyone who loves this woman should advise her against authoring such articles filled with wishlists and obvious contradictory policy positions. A monthly statement of activity showing progress and achievements and way forward is a more honourably way to connect with the outside world.

you have a point though. I think she should do more in updating us about the specific current economic dynamics of the nation and a monthly or quarterly projection on the steps taken to reposition the nation's economy.

Another textbook remedy that I doubt whether up to 20% will be achieved going by the behaviour of this administration. As it is I rather not expect anything so that at the end of the day I won't be disappointed. Or at most I'll be severely surprised if they attain atleast 20% of their plans. Can someone please write or start a thread for the mods to push to front page on why we the youth should float our party, the ideals of the party and how it will address our challenges as a nation. A party where there's no tribal discrimination but equal representation and total allegiance to the Nigerian course. Now is the time to start making arrangements for such not when 2019 is around the corner, so we can take our destinies in our hands

If they form a new party, it would just be the same old politicians from PDP or APC with a new name. This is the best time for a fresh party with young bloods to grow. We keep shouting on Twitter and Nairaland that this people said we are the future leaders and they are still ruling us...talk is cheap. We need to be proactive and do something. A party with fresh blood needs to spring up right now. This is the best time for a move like that.

l'm fully in support of such but who make the first move? I'm beginning to think us the youth of this generation are cowards compared to the generation of our father's. Our father's generation never had the kind technological advancement we the current youth are privilege to witness but they were by far more potent, active, productive and bold in pressing for their demands. we only shout and rant on media but no foot soldiers. If it were the youth of these days we will still be under colonial rule because we don't have the stomach to press home our demands.
To buttress how docile we've become we still worship the likes of Zik, Awolowo, et al, adoring them mean while they are men long gone with history. and to think that this men were once youths and they became famous while they were youths, forcefully pressing home their demands while they were still youths until the colonial powers could not withstand the heat any more, they had to cave in.
Why can't we produce another Awolowo or Azikiwe in this term an era unprecedented in the history of mankind where technology is at our finger tips. Instead we rather indulge in inter tribal bashing.
I wail for Nigeria because when youth of country becomes distracted by frivolities, then that country doesn't have a future.

In a related development, Governor Ayade, also signed a power generation agreement with Jampur Power of United Arab Emirate (UAE).The deal which was signed in Zurich, Switzerland, mandates Jampur power to build a 20 megawatt power plant to generate electricity for the state.It would be recalled that the governor, had while outlining his area of focus for 2016, listed improvement of electricity supply to Calabar, the state capital, among his 14-point agenda for the year.Besides the power generation agreement, Ayade also met with several investors in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, seeking amongst other things, technical cooperation and infrastructure fund to help fund key projects in the state.

Guy u would have made a better president than what we have now. Good governance is not rocket science, but when we have men with shallow intellectual capacity taking the reins of power, we are sure to suffer and pay for it. At point in time in our nation, we need men with sharp, precise, and strategic thinking to move this country forward.
on another note we that have developed our capacity over time should avail our self the opportunity of joining politics to also contribute from our vast wealth of knowledge, rather than continue to standby and watch men with shallow thinking continue to frustrate us out of politics.

The capital market is a veritable source of raising funds for doing big business. The power firms should look in that direction. It is absurd and unfair to ask consumers to pay outrageous sums for power not provided to have power provided! Blackmail of this sort by the power firms won't help.

that's exactly my thought. why not the electricity company float shares or bonds in the capital market to raise funds to finance their infrastructural development if they are really serious about business. I trust Nigerians they won't accept this daylight robbery.

Some persons are shameless trying to trivialize the deliberate fraud in the budget. Trying so hard to remove the chief perpetrator and blame others.

1, The budget is owned by the executive. It is what they say they want to do. How on earth can they be mistaken about that. They say they want BMW and you call it error?.. How daft

2. The budget is first adopted at FEC before it is sent to the legislature. The FEC members also review the budget and defend it first before it moves. The president also makes his input to ensure that special areas that interest him are well accommodated. How then can he be ignorant of it.

3. Even if we say the ministers had no hand in it, we all knew buhari have been working with the Pam Secs all along, he even claimed that the ministers were not really needed. It means he must have passed his thoughts to them to implement.

4.The ministers came in and owned the budget, besides they are the ones to implement it. Or are they to implement what they didn't know?

5.Apc in general were all aware of this thing as they knew they'll all have their cut from the diverted funds. In fact that was the plan initially. The more reason they wanted a closed circuit government and are so pained that it's not going that way in the legislature. They planned to loot whilst shouting corruption and silencing others with graft threats.

6. The government went all out to defend this budget initially. Did you here Mohammed speak? "what about femi gbajabiamila, ndume, yayi etc. If we had an intimidated opposition this issues would have been history.
