PoliticsRe: Kidnappers Hijack A School Bus Of 15 Pupils In Aba by IBEXY(m): 12:21pm On Sep 28, 2010
On another thread, someone is asking if we should celebrate Nigeria's 50th birthday. With this type of evil going on, what will we be celebrating? Aba is supposed to be a very successful commercial centre. I hear its now a "no go area". This is really sad. Which way Nigeria?
CultureRe: What Has Been Your Experience With Juju? by IBEXY(m): 11:52am On Sep 28, 2010
I never saw anyone who had a first hand experience with "jazz". Its always "dem say". I however recognise the efficacy and possibility of being poisoned. They only need to slip some stuff into your drink or food and thats it. It can also happen via you stepping on certain items. Its got to be some form of contact either through ingesting stuff or body contact. Otherwise the fantasy of some forces engendered by "juju" is a figment of the imagination.

Over the years/ century, medicine men have delibrately built up the hype and fear for their dark art to make a profit. If juju was that effective, how come its only for evil. Is there no good natured herbalist out there?

Why are you posting a video to each post now huh
I thought I was dealing with an adult. So ypou are really one of those facebook teenagers. Yeeeeekwarikwa shocked I give up. I thought I was doing a good job teaching you how to behave like an adult. Okpari! I hands off! Dont call me when they kick your arse o.

shocked OMG!
I cant believe you are beginning to sound more mellow. You used "slowpoke" only once! That is a record. Keep it up.

You see you are beginning to learn now. Keep the abuse down and people will listen to you more. I know you have a lot to say and you are just angry people dont want to agree with you. Dont worry. We will treat you like an adult from now on.

Sagamite:
How did I insult you?
By telling you to defend your droll? grin
Am I happy? grin
Dimwit, you opened your gob to attack someone that is stratospheres above your thinking level TWICE, and you have the guts to moan. undecided
Lets not deviate, defend your theory, "genius".
I wait.
You need explanation for a plain English statement. What of your "stratospheric" wisdom? Go back a few posts, you will find a "mere mortal" like myself has analysed the post for you. I need to confess am really enjoying you making a fool of yourself. Am having a laugh here reading your posts. I teased you and you fell for it like a bag of garri. Are you a man or woman? You snatch at any and everybody like a fish seller in the market.

Do you own the copyright to the word "faggotism"? Never heard or seen that word in my life - is that English or French or is it street language polished up by you? I suggest you go for exclusive rights to the words "dimwit" and "moronic" as well. Since they very well describe your personality.

Are you sending this posts from a psychiatric unit? You show all the symptoms of a schizophrenic. You even ascribed "god" status to yourself in one of your posts. Are you deluded as well? If you are really in UK, NHS services are free you know.

Sagamite:
You want to explain how you came to this "genius" conclusion?
Lets see how your education faired in developing a theorist. It will be interesting to see if they produced a complete slowpoke or a genius. I have my suspicions but don't want to jump into conclusions.
Defend your quoted theory, show you are not a slowpoke. I wait.
Haba!
You sound like a very bitter person with a poison tongue. Can you make a full statement without sounding abusive? Are you happy at all?
I quite agree you are the genius on this thread. Could that be the reaon why you are so bitter and unhappy? I think you could make your points without such words as "faggotism", "slowpoke" etc. If these are the thoughts that go on in the mind of a genius, I dont want to be one.
CrimeRe: Gay Pastor Escapes Mob Attack In Lagos by IBEXY(m): 9:44am On Sep 27, 2010
Am begining to suspect the most "abusive contributors" to this thread are "in the closet" themselves. People often adopt a hostile attitude to throw others off the scent. Its ok to step out of the closet people.

The issue here is not homosexuality. Its abuse of a position of authority and child molestation. We have to remember as well he needs to be judged and proven guilty of the offences.

You think its right to have this attitude towards killing another human? Simply because they do "one thing" differently.

I have followed this topic with interest and at times dismay. A few people have made very interesting points along the way. I have learnt a new homophobic expression as well: "faggotism".  grin

Amsorry!!!
Dimwit! That is all you could summon now to challenge my "confused" theory?  grin
Next time when I talk, get a notebook and start jotting. Dunce.  grin

Put the intellect of all your teachers so far in life together and sum it up, it will still be below my feet. So better use the opportunity to start learning something.
I rate you very high on your arsenal/vocabulary of abusive language. (Its probably the only part of the English language you have a mastery over). Look at you justifying adults having sex with minors in the name of biological misclassification. mumu x2.

That was the intellectual lecture I wanted to give "who born the maga" IBEXY.
When I give theory, such a fooool should not be opening his mouth to ridicule it. He should get his notebook out and start jotting. What a foolhardy ward!
its obvious you talk b4 you think. Am not the only one who thinks so. Read through this thread. At least in 2 places, they have attested to how many times you made a fool of yourself in other discussions.

Sagamite:
What I am saying that, if you list his crimes, paedophilia would be way below faggotism considering the age of victim and futhermore the difference in age between perpetrator and victim
Listen to youself talk. What is the name of God is "faggotism". Is that also in the "notebook". mumu.

It shows you know where you are and where you are going, it builds up focus and you begin to see your future from where you are. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GodBlessNigeria
Its also a good reason to embezzling public funds as sadly has become the culture in our dear country.

FamilyRe: Nuclear Vs Extended Family by IBEXY(m): 4:04pm On Sep 24, 2010
The extended family thing is a burden that needs to be shed as soon as you grow your own family. Immediate family is priority for me.
Dont get me wrong. If I become a millionaire tommorow, of course I will help even people not related to me but I think the extended family thing is a hinderance to development. You dont have to do it if you cant.

CrimeRe: Gay Pastor Escapes Mob Attack In Lagos by IBEXY(m): 3:37pm On Sep 24, 2010
I read some people saying homosexuality is foreign to Africa. How wrong !!!
How many thousands of Nigerians are living in denial of their sexuality today?

The issue in this thread is not about homosexuality. Its about child abuse.  Get that straight before spewing homophobic rage all over the place.

A wide span of ages that we loosely term as boys/girls have reached their sexual maturity biologically, we just have the sense to usurp the rationale of biology because we know it is in their best interest to delay sexual activity.
There goes another confused theorist trying to bamboozle us with too much grammar. So "boys" in your idea means, apart from "pre-teen males", matured men as well. Are you a lawyer? The pastor probably needs your service to get him out of this one. huh

Why saying i should shut up my mouth now? Haba huh huh huh
Don't i have the right to express my mind again? Na wa for u ooo.
Sorry jare.
Its in the way you put accross your opinion. Freedom of expression calls for extreme caution and thoughtfulness before unleashing your opinion in a public debate like this. Lets call a spade a spade. Evil is evil. No need to reflect before saying that.
My only annoyance is that this man may escape punishement - especially if the police decide to have a "sober reflection" before charging him to court for "abusing a minor".

So easy to criticize and condemn.
No doubt, what Adisa did is very bad and evil.
But many of us saying he should be killed do worse things really?

As a lady, how many times have u aborted?
As a guy, how many times have u advised or forced your girlfriend(s) to abort those pregnancies?
Can u compare what that young man did to terminating the lives of innocent babies?

Let's think on these things.
When issue like this comes up, it calls for a sober reflection and a time to amend our ways and turn to God Almighty
SHUT UP your mouth. What sobber reflection?. We should be thanking God this paedophile was discovered before he destroyed one more life. He actually confessed to having sex with a minor. Imagine your own child being forced into sexual union by a fully grown, balding and hairy man like that.

Do we need God to come down in this case before we condemn it as an evil act? God already gave us a brain to know right from wrong. To think this is one of the pastors who sit on the pulpit and label people as witches and wizards every sunday. Many shall come in my name.
CrimeRe: Gay Pastor Escapes Mob Attack In Lagos by IBEXY(m): 1:02pm On Sep 24, 2010
Am surprised everyone seems more concerned about the fake pastor's sexuality than his abuse of these young people. Did you read the section where it was said one of boys dramatically changed and became quiet? You can only imagine the psychological damage that has been left by this vile paedophile on him.

Who cares if he's gay or not. The issue is that he molested children. He should go to prison for it.
CrimeRe: Gay Pastor Escapes Mob Attack In Lagos by IBEXY(m): 12:57pm On Sep 24, 2010
1 paedophile goes down. 1 million more to go. Next is all those old men who harrass little girls on the roads with their tinted glass cars. Its high time Nigeria took child abuse in all its ramificatiosn serious.
ProgrammingRe: Web Vs Software Development by IBEXY(m): 2:52pm On Sep 22, 2010
The problem is that we have been left behind by tech developments. I agree that most of the action is in web development these days. All the action is in building websites and internet hosted applications

BUT

remember as well that there is a revolution going on now with mobile technology - Apps are mostly like "desktop apllication" written to run on phones, and other mobile devices. I think a good Java programmer's day will come when the app storm finaly hits naija.

Be on the watchout!
TravelRe: Your First Travel Experience On A Double-decker Bus by IBEXY(m): 1:35pm On Sep 21, 2010
Not on my first ride but sitting at the top deck of the bus allows you see a part of the High Street you never knew. Above the glittering shop fronts and glasses are often rows of old and neglected windows, walls and masonry.

I was in Tottenham (north London) the other day and looked up above the stores. I suddenly realised how old some of those buildings are. Its hard but try to remove your eyes from the shops sometimes. Look above - at the building housing the store. London is actually filled with ancient (and at times) crumbling houses.

As per this teenager called ROSSIKE, the way forward is to contribute N1000 (after paying taxes and levies) for Nigeria to recover. GENIUS. I suspect the account number will be your personal own. Afterall its the norm in Naija.

Keep deceiving yourself. Most of us are already doing more than we should for naija. The pain comes from when you realise that people like you end up being in governement with no clue on how to move things forward. Do you know how much foreign exchange comes via the "loudmouths" based abroad to naija? Do you know how many community projects we have done back home? I for one comes from a place where we had to do everything for ourselves despite paying taxes for milleniums. Schools, hospitals, roads even security from armed robbers. You think people are happy looking back home and the situation is worsening?

ROSSIKE:
what most fail to realize is that your idea of "GOOD" is complete rubbish to a foreign national. Good is when you can depend on the police to come within 5 minutes of calling them. Good is when there is electricity to power the electronic devices you spent your hard earned funds to purchase. Good is when you can depend on the healthcare system to cater for your family's needs. Good is when you can hope for a reasonable chance of employment when you graduate from college. Good is when you embark on a journey of 2hrs and get there in 2hrs. Not get there in 6hrs because of bad roads and police extortion points. Good is when you cast your vote and you are sure it counts. You see my fellow Nigerian, you can color the truth with words but the evidence is abound for all to see.
My fellow Nigerian, the utopian society you just painted simply does not exist anywhere in the world, including  America, Switzerland, Britain, and Germany. Sure, they are ahead of us in meeting those ideals, but they are ALL far from being anything like perfect. It's quite fruitless painting a picture of a developed society and wondering why Nigeria is not like that. We will get there in our own time.  What we should focus on are the signs of incremental progress, of which there are MANY.
Listen to yourself: Mr Rossike thinks an efficient police and constant power supply only exists in an Utopian society.

ROSSIKE:
You obviously did not factor in the ''faulty system of Naija'' into your business plan risk assessment. Those who do this tend to succeed. Don't blame Nigerians for your oversight please.
and what are these things you need to factor in: allowance for bribery and corruption, massive tax bill that will not produce any results, constant harrasement from local govt touts and kidnappers, zero power supply, bad roads, gun shots in the night, bribe oriented law enforcement etc. How do you do honest business in a climate like that? How will it change if you dont complain? If you keep factoring this resolvable defects into business, govt will relax thinking all is well. Suffering and smilling - like the great Fela said.

Oh I nearly forgot my footer (had to edit the post fast). One poster here cannot decipher the English. He thinks it must be taken in some strange "American context". He says I dont know the meaning of "blessed". I feel honoured to drink from the cup of his infinite wisdom. Here goes:

God bless Nigeria --- NO! (he already blessed us, he gave us everything we need - even more than UK and other countries.)
GOD HELP NIGERIA --- YES (we need his grace - to save us from the children of the politicians and corrupt bureaucrats who come to nairaland to defend their  parents)
