No this is not Riquelme, the only thing he could do was pass, he could barely move, mostly strolling round the field, He cant defend anything. He had to be catered to severely to function and his output wasn't worth the effort.

Riquelme is a luxury player. Aimar was far more effective. Aimar can boast of 2 la ligas, Europa league, UCL final etc to which he was instrumental.

Depor was a perennially good side long before Valeron got there (and even won the league before him) right from the days of Bebeto, Naybet, Fran, Donato, Mauro Silva and even when Valeron got there Tristan, Makaay and others contributed a great deal.

Not saying Valeron wasn't good but dismissively saying he was better than Riquelme and rating Riquleme at the level of Gago is what i found blasphemous. You probably didn't watch enough of Riquelme, Messi would do human sacrifice if he could get a young Riquelme in this Argentine squad.

Riquelme is no more than the Banega that Messi is playing with right now.

rlc is not even a 60% sure to offer something worth it attacking from mildfield. Kante is box to box but is limited in attack sense.

Automatically we have only one tested mildfielder that can bring attack from mildfield for now in Fab. But that one leg don die. In sense we are left with no good mildfielder that can contribute to attack from deep.

While we don pack defensive mildfielder like kante, Drinkwater's, bakayoko and an extent jorginho if it becomes true

BTW I cant see any AM that we can afford in the market now. Willian still remains the best option for AM if we don't sell him.

Bakayoko, Drinkwater and Fabregas can be sold to make way for Seri. Seri will cost less than the money we get for anyone of them is what I am saying.

3 good midfielders for 2 positions is always advisable.

Kante and Jorginho can't be playing every match. We've been lucky with injuries etc.

Back in the day Essien, Ballack, Lampard and Makelele share 3 positions with one more backup.

I could not be anymore proud of my Boys. They did Queen and country proud and really restored public faith in the National team. Absolutely gutted for the Harry,Gareth and the Lads.
