Been a while...

Guys I need to ask this here... Trolling apart, if Chelsea pay Brighton to win Liverpool this weekend, will it count as match fixing?

Considering the fact that Brighton is safe in the log. Not fighting relegation, not fighting for European football etc there is every tendency that they won't take the match serious. So if Chelsea were to 'motivate' them, will that be an offence? Is there any direct rule against it? Just thinking out loud sha.... grin cheesy

Let's just go play Yoruba league and give it to the young ones to get some game time and establish themselves.

It's not everytime we must go UCL - UCL that we are not equipped for sef.

Let's embrace Vision 2020.

I was grammatically correct. I didn't specify which date in August.

Can you see now that Hazard went 2 months scoring only once same as this season?

Hazard hasn't changed from then till now, only his support cast changed.

Nobody said he was larger than the club.

Did he go during last season or 2014/2015, scoring just a goal in 2months, as he did this season? Was he frustrated last season with his performance?

He hasn't told us when Hazard made similar admission of not playing well for 2 months, last season.
2014/15 Hazard only scored 1 EPL goal from August to November.

His only goals outside that was against Maribor.

You did not notice that cos Costa and Fab were bringing home the results.

Like I said, Hazard has not changed!

Baka must go. Apparently Chelsea "don't want to make the same mistake as DeBruyne and Salah" with Bakayoko so will not sell him unless he wants to leave. I laugh.

West Ham have interest in Drinkbleach also. We might as well take the money if we can recoup, although I feel Drinkwater has not been given a chance at Chelsea.

RLC and Van Ginkel should come back in the squad next season, then we sign another DM.

The only L there is the one you took cheesy

Let me remind you what happened that day.

Watford were leading us 2-1 and Doucoure scored.

You were already beginning that we were losing because Doucoure sabi work and Matic was controlling midfield.

By the end of the weekend, Doucoure wey sabi work lost.

Matic wey sabi work lost his game to gopddam Huddersfield

Bakayoko wey no sabi work bossed Doucoure and created the goal that won the match

And you were seen licking an L like Lollipop. cheesy

Your L was very contextual to the events of that weekend so please stop trying to share some to me, I dont want none cool
When we were telling you that Doucoure is a real midfielder unlike Bakayoko you were dragging.

Now few months later, you have come to our side wanting Doucoure to replace the Donkey..

Just like we told you about Bakayoko replacing Matic, like we hyped for Kante before Chelsea signed him, you will continue to wake up a few months later having already collected L.

Isn't our God a wonderful God?

Goals and assists isn't the only metric to judge a player.

As a central midfielder he seems to be a jack of all trades - he can dribble, he can tackle, he can shoot, he can pass, and is a little bit quick.

Bakayoko sent this L to come find you from way back in October. grin grin

Nihilist:
Niggas were hailing Doucoure because he scored a cheap goal as a midfielder dey sabi work, and hailing Matic as a midfield conductor.

Doucoure lost the match, and Matic got bossed by a championship side, while Alfa was seen creating a match winning goal.

He was more consistent in those years we won epl titles. This season he fell short, that's a fact he also agreed on. So using your goal+assists stats for those seasons to conclude that he performed at the same level of consistency with this season, is DOA.
His form is not different. You just pick a narrative to make him larger than the club. You didn't see matches in 2015 where Hazard was dancing skelewu with no end product because Costa and Fabregas won the game for him. This season when he has those kind of games, you claim he is off form cos no Costa/Fab to bring home the result so those games are amplified.

2015 Bakayoko cannot play as the lone DM and I agree Chelsea cannot win

Last year replace Matic with Bakayoko Chelsea will win. Kante is the main guy in midfield and Put Costa in front Chelsea wins all day

Hazard and Matic are the most dispensable players in the team
2017 was built on 2 midfielders only both having to be comfortable on the ball with both having to go to the ball. Matic was the one who went to the ball in tight areas with players around him while Ngolo played more of the runner role. Hence I said Mikel could have won that.

Probably any 6/10 midfielder would still win that title but on the proviso that they can trap a ball in a tight midfield. Amateur footballer could have never played in that system and would not even enter the pitch. The positions Matic shows for the ball and receives it, amateur footballer will lose it 5 times out of 10.

Matic was there in 2016 and we lost to the point where 2 managers chased him out of the team.

He was there in FA Cup final last year when Sanchez ran away from him to score a tapin.

He's at Manyoo now and they haven't won a spoon and we're in the same FA Cup final together.

Our problem this season has been lack of goals mostly due to a misfiring sunken Spaniard, and to an extent Hazard too.

As soon as Giroud became established in the team, we've won 4 straight matches.

Abeg don't try and sneak Matic into it - Bag of beans is s nonentity.
Matic record in 2nd half of 2014, 2015, 2017 and now 2018 at Man Utd is unblemished but you will keep bleating on about 2016 when every player was unfit and off-form and want to focus on Matic only.

This is different from saying "when Hazard stepped up, we won and when he downs tools we lose". This is the narrative of those who must tie every victory to Hazards good form and every defeat to his loss of form in order to make him larger than life.

Hazard maintaining any form from any of his years at Chelsea except 2016 still wins us the 2015 and 2017 title comfortably.

There's a reason when Hazard flops, most times the team flop.
False!

The key driver of the teams success or failure have been changes to central midfield and striker positions.

Replace Eto with Costa we win. Sell Costa, buy Morata, we lose.

Replace Mikel and Ramires with Matic and Fab, we win.

Replace Fab with Ngolo, we win. Replace Matic with Bakayoko we lose.

These are the key drivers of Chelsea's success and failure, not because Hazard stepped up or down in form.

Hazard does the same thing every season which is dribble a few players and contribute about 15 goals and maybe 10 assists. He is consistent in this.

Yeah, according to you history revisors, we won league because Hazard shined, not because we signed Fabregas, Costa and Ngolo who gave the team what it needed to win.

Hazard has been here before these players came and never thought of shining abi?

How about this - Chelsea won the league in 2015 and 2017, thus you say he shined. . . cos his form then is no different to now.

The best I've ever seen Hazard play for Chelsea is this season from September to November. He actually showed form reserved for only the best in those months.

Fab? The same fab that lost it by december? Someone that didn't make it to the pfa team? Costa that was always injured or suspended? Ibime!!! I can't believe that you will making such statements just to save face. I can only expect such statement from anti chelsea fans.
For years you have been peddling this fallacy that Hazard won us the league in 2015 which is patently false. Transplant Hazards performance this season to 2015 and we would have still won the league comfortably. So no, Hazard has not changed between 2015 and now, and our league fortunes do not depend on whether he's on form or not cos his form is roughly the same every year.

We had been struggling to qualify for UCL year-on-year until we signed Fabregas and Costa that summer. Their combination propelled us to take a commanding lead by January, after which it was easy to manage out the rest of the season which Mourinho specialises in. After Fabregas got exposed at Spurs in January 2015, Mourinho drafted Zouma into midfield and changed the format of our play settling for 1-0 wins and draws to see out the season. This is when Hazard secured the lone goal in a couple of matches that made you history-revisors to start bleating that Hazard won us the league. Hazard never did such, and his performance this season would achieve the same effect. We don't live or die on Hazards minor fluctuations in form. The Fabregas-Costa combo wrapped up that league for us by January and we would have managed out that season to victory even if Hazard broke his leg.

Greatihex:
If fab and Costa help hazard to win the title, why didn't they help willian to do same or close the following season you claim that hazard was unfit?
All players were unfit that season bar Willian due to having only 3 weeks preseason as the club decided to go on post-season tour of Thailand which cut down our presseason to 3 weeks only. When I said that is the only season Hazards form has fluctuated wildly, I'm referring to his personal form cos that team could not be helped by one or two players being in form when the rest of the team is unfit. By his own personal form, I mean he came back from holiday with ikebe bigger than Eniola Badmus such that his dribbles weren't coming off due to his own personal lack of sharpness.

His season this year is no different to others. Hazard has not changed through his time at Chelsea except for 2016 when he was unfit

The only difference is that the real decisive title winners of 2015 and 2017 did not help him win the league this year. I know you thought he was the key factor when we won the league in 2015 and 2017 but some of us gave those titles to Costa, Fabregas and Ngolo as the decisive factors.
