raumdeuter: Look at the human killed by Iranian proxies all over the world and tell why its specifically Israel you are angry about, You are not angry about the atrocities committed by Houtis in Yemen and middle east, you are not bothered about the atrocities of Iran sponsored Hezbollah, Not worried about the atrocities of Hamas(Till today Hamas has not released the hostages nor stopped sending rockets into Israel). Even in African you are not worried about the Iranian sponsored terror in our continent, Not black skinned folks in Darfur being wiped out by Arab backed militias, Not the Black folks in Congo, Not even people in Nigeria like in Benue. Many of these terror groups sponsored by Iran do not bother you
Its the ones in Israel where Hamas is using as human shield that bothers you. Sit back and genuinely ask yourself why the one in israel bothers you more than anywhere else in the world. You will reveal something very dark about yourself and your interest They are all genocidal against Israel, they want Israel wiped out They get mad at collateral damage and ignore intentional genocide on Israelis The Palestinians are in Gaza for attempting a genocide if we dial it all the way back to 1948, not to mention all the Arab countries who promised a genocide at the UN in 1947, acted on it in 1948 and wonder why Palestine got sectioned off. cococandy: Precisely. I said it didn’t start overnight
There’s a reason why I don’t argue for or against a particular country when it comes to wars. Because sometimes it’s way more protracted than who’s right or wrong, since the issues usually span decades.
But at the moment we are looking at who’s instigating new violence and who’s standing in the way of a path to peace and it’s Isreal. What’s a preemptive strike if not a first strike? In this new wave of hostilities, Isreal is the aggressor. They admitted as much.
What I want to know is if we are in support of gra gra “do anyhow see anyhow” tactics, at whose expense is it going to be? Americans?
What’s the material and human cost of a nuclear war if it comes to that? Are you prepared to die today in a nuclear blast? Prepared to suffer the effects of a nuclear fallout?
There’s a reason why the whole world agreed to no more new nuclear weapons. Isreal broke that treaty thereby prompting their neighbors Iran included to start nuclear activities too. If Isreal can’t abide by world rules, why do they expect others to?
Everything points back to them. And they always want to manipulate USA into joining their wars.
Meanwhile they have universal healthcare and subsidized college while American money is funding their wars. Americans can’t even go to college without hundreds of thousands of dollars in college debt There is no new "wave of hostilities". Israel suffered hostilities last week from Iran directed proxies |

cococandy: I’m not making up facts. In fact I’m not on Iran’s side. I’m on the side of Isreal should carry their wahala and face their issues with Iran without dragging the US into it.
I’m aware that just like Isreal conflict with Palestine, it didn’t start overnight. But they were in the middle of a negotiation and Israel launches a strike against them. Can’t say that’s not fact and that’s not the action of someone who actually doesn’t want peace. There is nothing like start overnight. Why did Iran rain 200 ballistic missiles on Israel in October 2024 to avenge the killing of Nasrallah, the Head of Hezbollah, a Lebanese Citizen? If we want to go by rules of engagement, why did one state bomb another state for the killing of a non state actor who is not their citizen? Iran has been attacking Israel since 2023 and last weeks bombing is the continuation and response to 2 years of Iranian aggression and daily bombardment of Israel from North, South and West. Israel has not bombed anybody first. You do anyhow, you see anyhow. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by Ibime(m): 8:56am On Jun 18, 2025 |
cococandy: I want to believe this too but I don’t. I’m 100% certain nothing will satisfy Netanyahu until Palestinians are wiped off the surface of the earth. That’s also genocidal intent. And to them, Isreal is also a terrorist.
We seemed to agree on new wars. I saw that as something reds and blues agreed on. UNTIL blood thirsty Netanyahu preemptively strikes Iran. What did he think was going to happen when he bombed them first? If he knew how dangerous they were, what exactly was he hoping to achieve by bombing them if not war? A war he fully expects U.S to jump into and start losing funds and lives over? Like we exist to pay taxes for his wars and raise our young men to go and die for his political ambition. Nope he didn't bomb them first. Iran attacked Israel on October 7th 2023 and has been attacking daily ever since from Hezbollah and Houthis. You can tell yourself whatever you want or twist facts on it's head, fact remains fact |

All that moral equivaism must be hard for you when it seems you see Muslims as evil and Israelis as good. No I don't do moral equivalence I'm a practical man who can understand the difference between genocidal death cult targeting people just for being different and collateral damage when targeting a combatant enemy. Just like Boko Haram enter a village and kill everyone and Nigerian army kill a few villagers while dropping bomb on Boko Haram. They are not the same and can never be equivalent Put the Israeli shoe on Irans foot and 2 million Gazans will be dead, not 50k I also understand why for practical terms you may section off a people that attacked you with genocidal intent in 1948 and cannot live amongst them for your own people's safety just 3 years after an epic genocide. And I believe a solution for the Palestinians will be worked out with a period of peace for Israel and not having to fight off genocidal wars and attacks every few years. And no, I am not a Christian, I don't hate muslims which many of my friends are, including my daughters Godfather. Just a practical nucca not driven by emotions. |

LordAdam16: 1. What do you expect? The Right has backed nearly every war going back about century. Typically, the largesse of these wars has been disbursed relatively fairly across all classes. The perks of winning WW2 was being able to afford a home, car, stay-at-home wife, and three kids in a picturesque suburb on one factory or refinery job.
Since the end of the Cold War, that social contract has been terminated. It is demoralizing to support wars, fight and die in them, then return home to find jobs have been shipped overseas, you can't complain about the influx of illegal immigrants, and virtually all pillars of society has been hijacked by your ideological rival.
Of course, the natural response is f*ck all this. I'm done with adventurism. The truly sad part is many believed Trump 2.0 was a departure from the past that they signed up in record numbers. After all, if there are no new wars, being in the military is a sweet gig. Only to be rug-pulled barely 6 months in.
2. A section, historically small, has not been a fan of Zionism. They don't like that the State of Israel asks the US to jump and the response is "how high". This cohort would probably begrudgingly support a war in defense of (or even offensive for) an ally like South Korea or Japan. But certainly not for the "Iraq has WMD" "Greater Israel" crooners.
3. Nationalists. They've historically been in the minority since the Manifest Destiny faction won out more than a century ago. They've always been around, but because Pax Americana has been so wildly successful, they've had to shut up and trudge on. Patiently waiting for an opening.
With the weather vane shifting to non-interventionism, they see that opening. The Nationalism movement wants to escape their historical purgatory, so they're willing to get in bed with anyone. Staying in the shadows for more than a century would do that to any movement. Putin. Xi. Kim. Orban. Even Khamenei. They don't like many of them, but globalists and neo-liberalists are their arch domestic enemies and their immediate concern.
So they'll do anything to get them off the perch and then it'll back to the old scheming and plotting against adversaries.
4. Populism. It ties all three factions and allies on the left, center, up and down. The US is declining. Debt is rising with no one able to pump the brakes. The American Dream is well a dream. Housing, inflation, [insert whatever the average American wants to rant about]. It all comes together into a gift package, with a nice red bow called Populism. The wisdom of the crowd prevails. Let's do things differently.
Right now, on the issue of War with Iran, the different approach is to stay the hell out.
PS: If the b*t lets this true, great. If not, not typing a TL;DR.
-Lord Actually social media is giving you guys too much voice. Most of the right (bible believing evangelicals) are with Israel. It's the new far right (Conspiracy theorists and former far left conspiracy theorists like Tim Poole) and confused indomie generation who are the loudest on social media that like to go and ignorantly shout anti war. There is no expensive ground invasion here, just a couple of bombs to wipe out the nuclear bunkers. Israel have already finished work That Iraq was a mistake does not mean you should not take opportunity to eradicate a true threat. Iraq was just Bush trying to settle a family score after Saddam sent assassins to kill his father. The Jews warned America not to go after Iraq as Iraq under the Baath party was a stabilising force that kept the Shia in balance. Saudi said the same. |

Matthew 5:9: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God" The peacemaker is Israel who have great relations with all their Sunni neighbours (Jordan, Saudi etc) who attacked them in 1948 and 1967. Because they have shown themselves to be a reasonable and dependent state The war makers are Iran who through their terrorist network have wiped out the Christian population of Lebanon in the 1980s, wiped out Sunnis in many jurisdictions in the Middle East., wiped out swathes and oppress the 65% Sunni population of Yemen through the Houthis, wiped out families, kids and dogs in Israel out of nowhere via Hamas and attacking Israel from North, South and East. A genocidal death cult regime who only a bleeding heart would consider ignoring in the name of calling himself an ignorant peacemaker while that person is actively pursuing your destruction and genocide in words and deed. The Sunni countries of the Arab world are praying for Israel triumph over the coming days and weeks. |

IjeBos: [s]Who gets to decide who is a terrorist and who isn't? Who gets to decide whose assassination is moral or whose is an act of terrorism? Who gets to decide who are Prisoners and who are Hostages?
I don't see in what world you can label Iran a terrorist state and not label Israel a terrorist state as well.\ One can't both argue that power is right then get upset when other people use their power to create their right.
What right did Israel have to attack Iran and destroy their Nuclear program? Doesn't Israel have a Nuclear weapons? So, what makes them the decider of what anyone else does?
I'm not a fan of Iran, but it is clear what Israel is doing. In order for them to be the top dog they can't let anyone else in the area progress technologically. This is what this is about. In order to wipe out the Palestinians and claim their land they have to have no one who can challenge them.
This whole thing is similar to colonialism and the belief that there are certain people who are created better than other people. And thus believe their lives hold more worth and thus have the right to control and determine how others live.
If anyone in the region cares about Nuclear weapons, they should give up their nuclear weapons and then make the case for no one having Nuclear weapons.
That's not what Israel is doing.[/s] Ain't got time for this Insert 40 character addendum here |
