GrammarNazi1:EfoRiro is Edikaikong pro max. Same thing but the tatashe base in EfoRiro elevates it far and above Edikaikong Infact I discovered the way we cook Yam Pottage in the South is totally rubbish compared to Yoruba version that uses Tatashe base. Now I only cook Yampo with Tatashe |
dostr4:You are wrong my brother Iwobi is being blamed for the tactical set-up and lack of AM Iwobi was in a double pivot with Onyeka. They both had marking and pressing duties on Fofana and Kessie respectively. Everytime they got the ball, their only triangle was with the fullbacks or defence because there was a man missing in the AM position. Either they play a sideways or backward triangle or a percentage ball into space for the winger which the winger may or may not get. FYI, Onyeka only completed 10 passes in that match, Iwobi completed 20 Iwobi was not responsible for the shot played by the centre back. Iwobi had his midfield man and that shot was Osimhen shot to press, or an AM if we had one. . Iwobi had to leave his man to try and press that shot. See below. You already have 2 midfielders marking 3 opposition midfielders and now expect one of those 2 midfielders who are already overloaded to step out and press a centreback? Meanwhile you can see 2 centrebacks without men to mark. That's what Peseiro formation does, it gives room to our centrebacks to coast with excess numbers to spare, while our midfield carry too much weight Iwobi performed well in this tournament and in that match. His only misstep was a miscued clearance (bouday) which landed in the box and did not amount to any harm.

Unlimited22:I have tried more new things in UK than I did in Naija. Met more Yorubas here than I ever did in Naija and ate their foods which I never ate in Naija I first ate EfoRiro in this country and now I don't eat any other soups except Efo and Fisherman soup |

popizaino:SE every day of the week and twice on a Sunday. I will even support SE against Chelsea |
Nigerians are very foolish. Iwobi played the same position as Onyeka, left the pitch long before Onyeka and still completed twice as many passes as Onyeka but the spirit of JayJay Okocha won't leave them. That's how they were dragging Mikel for not being Okocha when Mikel was playing DM. They can't fathom a players position on the pitch, and expecting him to play to his label. You no see Chukwueze and Zaidu to drag, na Iwobi you want drag. Iwobi had a 7/10 tournament, he performed his role as instructed. |
seanwilliam:Oga you dey quote post from 2021, you think I'm still holding? |

I bought Okpa for the first time yesterday. Will appreciate any advice on what to eat it with Cc Okpansukkaisbae |
liveLongNprospa:CEOs get levels. A CEO at Wigwes level and with his time constraints will not brook any deviation if he needs it. These guys don't have any time whatsoever to organise their diaries and schedules, they need a PA that will gum body and that's usually what they demand. There are fears you will express to CEO of Okonkwo and Sons that you can't tell Elon Musk or Herbert Wigwe unless they are very cool guy which is exceedingly rare at that level |
Kimbeast:Let's not talk about semifinals. Nigeria has like 8 or 9 bronze medals |
Yep it's more likely Wigwe PA had to move by road for logistical reasons such as carrying luggage, or making a car available to Wigwe on arrival in Las Vegas Unless Wigwe is a caring boss that would listen to the PA fears about travelling by helicopter. It's more likely a CEO will get rid of a PA that can't keep up with his travel schedule. It's usually seen as part of the job. Even if CEO wants to travel by submersible to visit the Titanic wreckage, you will usually follow if you value your job |
pkasso:Super Eagles remains my first love before club football so e pain me. I no go lie. But I have moved on |
Ballzproblem2:Ahmed Musa work well well. His job is as leader and motivator and party organiser of the dressing room and he has done that fantastically. Afcon allowed 27 players, so they brought niggas like Ahmed Musa and Chidozie Awaziem (prayer warrior, chorus leader and party organiser) for team spirit. As and when tournaments return to 23 men roster, they can cut these players, but so far as the roster was for 27 men, Ahmed Musa and Awaziem are an important part of the dressing room. At that point Ahmed Musa and Awaziem can turn into player liaison officers rather than squad members, just like Sergio Aguero at the last World Cup. |
Even while being defensive, you can still show some attacking intent such as not playing Zaidu as a wing back. Zaidu is useless beyond the halfway line, and Onyemeachi would have allowed us step up 10 yards Although I am overall satisfied with the outcome of the 5-4-1 producing our best result in 11 years, in hindsight, Peseiro could have had a rethink for this game. Jean Seri is not your typical African midfielder. Leaving him free as Ivory Coast 3rd man was a licence for Ivory Coast to penetrate at will because Seri drops passes over the top to the wings at ease. It's like a European team leaving Pirlo unmarked. Plus Seri is an old man that can be pressured easily. A midfield 3 with Iwobi on Seri and Aribo coming in as LCM on Kessie may have done the trick. In addition, Ivory Coast were playing two 35 year old men in Gradel and Seri, and a cancer returnee in Haller, so we didn't need to worry about overcompensating in numbers at the back and could trust ourselves more in one-on-one duels Finally all Nigerians complaining about Iwobi know nothing about football. You expect a DM in a double pivot to stray from his pressing instructions, and expect him to act as an AM when he is in a double pivot against 3 CMs for CIV. Football is about triangles and there was never the third angle at the top of the triangle throughout the tournament because we did not have an AM. So those expecting AM work from Iwobi should shut it. The only triangles we had all tournament were with the fullbacks and the defence. Only a mad man, or a complete neophyte will expect AM work from Iwobi in this set up. Iwobi played his role perfectly throughout the tournament. _____________________Seri______________ ___Kessie vs (Iwobi)______Fofana vs (Onyeka)__ . |
Incognito9:Na autocorrect oh, plus I done high to dull the pain wey those useless boys serve me |
Kessie should be the POTT followed by Troost |

Pressure done bust pipe |
Emaprince:Make Una calm down. He is playing in a double pivot His pressing is exactly as expected from a player in double pivot. He's got the left while Onyeka has the right |
Why was no one marking Kessie? |
Nwabali fück up there |
Chukwueze shouldn't come out 2nd half |
