Giving your first name to your son to use as a surname is very natural. That's how most surnames evolved as people became literate in the last 200 years

That's why we have surnames like Danielson, Harrison, Peterson etc. or their Nordic variants like Danielsen, Magnussen, Sigurdsson. Their surnames were just a reflection of the fathers first name with son added on the end.

Others used their occupation as their last name eg the most popular English surname of Smith which indicates the first one in the family to put a surname on official documents was a blalcksmith

Yes, that's my point but more importantly Police was fighting all over Lagos during that time and there was a clash between Area boys and Police that night in Ajah, which is the root of the indiscriminate Police action. In isolation, Ajah is no different from what Surulere. So there are two phases and two different locations to the conflict that night. Army did what I expected them to do which is to bust shots in the air, and Police independently sprayed everything moving in a separate battle where anyone on street is a target. The "massacre" outcry should be directed toward Police away from Tollgate in a separate incident no different from what Police had been doing those weeks, even within the same Lekki. It just happened to fall on the same night as the tollgate incident.

What's in it for me is truth devoid of emotion. I saw dozens of videos and only two people bleeding at tollgate in the presence of thousands of cameras and even cameras from adjoining buildings. But other areas of Lagos and Naija, I saw shootings, stabbings etc even when only a few dozen people were gathered, it was captured on camera, something tens of thousands of cameras at tollgate couldn't do.

Almost all of the killing was done by Police at a fight with Area boys in Lekki Ajah later that night. One of the guys who was there with Switch confirmed the same, saying bodies weren't dropping at tollgate but there were bodies being dropped by Police in Ajah later that night. Nobody brought any substantial evidence from Tollgate. The panel said 11 people were killed that night. I can bet at least 8 to 10 were dropped by Police at Ajah, not from soldiers shooting in the air which has been happening since time immemorial.

Somehow indiscriminate killing at tollgate has become accepted wisdom in a case of mass public dissonance, at odds with reality and the evidence on ground. Infact tollgate noise is a symptom of Nigerian elitism. Tollgate people did not face 1/10th of what other areas faced during EndSars, but they made the most noise.

A very few handful were gunned down that night. All those rifle shot are in other locations. I saw dozens of people killed during EndSars but tollgate is the only place I saw tens of thousands of people with camera phone with hardly any killing captured. It defies logic.

There are laid down rules. Maybe you didn't get Ibime. Let me break it down for you.

Everybody is allowed to play in the main league. But to qualify for the FA H2H, Ditto the Carling Cup, there are 4 things that will qualify you to participate:

1. Being a previous main league winner or FA cup winner in the past.

2. Being in the Top30 in the main league during the previous season. Sometimes if there are late show, top 50 are considered

3. Being the winner of Carling Cup the previous season.

4. Being an active poster on this thread.

Now if we put all these together we might have more than 50 people qualifying for only 20 available slots in FA and 20 in Carling Cup, so it becomes a case of First come, first serve. Which means even if you are a previous winner or if you are qualified by other means but you don't come to request for code early, you will still miss out. This is because the volunteer administrators cannot afford to wait forever.

I hope the rules are clear now.

We were only mocking them as per they were old players and not making play-offs none of them finished below 15 and that’s not a relegation position

Ibime I suggest a third h2h cup is created with 20 players just like the rest
The fa cup will be the highest, Carling is second and the third cup
The play offs teams in the third cup will be promoted to carling cup while the bottom 8 in Carling cup will be demoted to the third cup
Same with the fa cup bottom 8 will be demoted to Carling and play off teams in Carling will be promoted

I volunteer to keep record at the end of the season, I think with this it get more competitive and fun

The winner of Carling Cup is the only one guaranteed FA Cup promotion. FA Cup spot is by league performance. Top 30 or top 50 will get you in. A player can finish 400th in the league and still make Carling Cup playoffs from good draws

See FA Cup as Champions League and Carling Cup as Europa league

Europa league winner gets UCL spot, but finishing 2nd in Europa League doesn't give you UCL spot. It's your league performance that gives you UCL spot
