And the club signed him undecided
If not for Conte, the club have made permanent space for Mikel to always be part of the midfield options and sub for Matic. Emenalo always kept a seat warm for his Igbo brother. Conte was the one who forced the transfer.

Yup, I too haven't followed Norwich like that but Gilmour's loan hasn't worked out like I envisioned. I was hoping he would be making waves by now, just like Gallagher and Broja are doing. Started well but his former coach didn't seem to fancy him, I remember people on this board were complaining about him being relegated to the bench despite the lack of quality in the Norwich midfield. To think that I was excited about this loan move cos I wanted to see him as a regular starter in an attacking footie system.

I don't know, but I also get the impression that Norwich fans don't really rate him like that. I remember seeing posts on twitter one day, Chelsea fans were berating Norwich supporters for their constant criticisms of Gilmour, even though he won the MOTM award in a just concluded match. I will need to watch him under this new manager, I don't know if Dean Smith rates him.

Abeg if they don't want they should return our property. We all know of his quality and potential; to win MOTM in your PL, UCL and FA Cup debuts no be beans.

Maatsen is doing very well at Coventry, but I agree Emerson would be the most reasonable call.
Gilmour was never going to work at Norwich. Their midfield is too porous physically and Gilmour also has physical deficiencies to add to the mix. It's like dropping Gilmour in Barca current midfield that has no legs. Another Gilmour won't improve a Barca midfield that have strollers like Busquet and DeJong already in the team, it will only highlight his weakness further. What will improve such midfield is an energy player.

Emerson and Gilmour should have loan fees that will make a recall restrictive. Ampadu should be the one recalled for DM depth as his loan was a last minute rush and ill suited.

I remember his first presidential debate against President Obama when one white woman who is an old bigot asked Senator Bob Dole if it's true that Obama was a secret Muslim. Bob Dole didn't let her finish before hushing her up by telling her that Obama is a patriotic American whom he happens to disagree with politically. Compares that to the worthless and bigoted Pig named Trump.

It wasn't charity at all.

10 year old Kubura sat at that seat making gari from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, Sunday off. I see her from my window when I'm reading in my living room and she's there when I went and returned from my farm. She can't read so I said I'd teach her, but there was never any time, so I took over her gari making duties while she sat there reading to me. What 10 year old Kubura did for almost 50 hours a week killed me in five as the post shows, but I stuck at it till she taught me how to make gari.

Fab is my favourite Liverpool player alongside Trent and Big Virg, but what I'm disputing is you saying he caught up with Armstrong when it's clearly the other way round...He didn't keep up, he had a few yards on Armstrong, got beat and then did a wonderful tackle while smiling like the boss he is....
By catch obviously I mean the ball. Watch the video again. Armstrong only pulls ahead at the last millisecond when Fab is slowing down to time his jump. Before you jump into a slide, you lose some momentum. He did not necessarily have to do the slide to stop the counter but it's safer than putting his body Infront of Armstrong to collect the ball as Armstrong could just bump him with shoulder and win the ball.

Show me any DM that can stop the fastest EPL player in that amount of space and I'll show you why Klopp trusts his team to play such a highline with such a DM. Baba is fast enough, simple.

Bro, I don't think you watched the video...
He didn't catch, he was in front, got caught, overtaken and then performed a wonderful one time tackle... huh huh
I watched the video well enough. I chose that video because of the speed of his opponent to show you how he can keep up with the fastest man in the Prem.

Here is the start of the race at the edge of the box. By the time they reach the centre circle, he's maintained a reasonable distance

By the end of the video, Fabinho is slowing down to time his leap into the slide which is why Armstrong pulled ahead.

Come on man. Give him kudos. From edge of box to centre circle, he has kept up with the EPL fastest player. Let Jorginho or Rodri try that.

If Fabinho can stop the fastest Premier League player this season in 40 yards of space, he can stop 95% of counterattacks, simple. Let Rodri or Jorginho try that, it will turn to Tom and Jerry cartoon

Chasing is the wrong word, Fabinho is technically astute enough to not let a player have a few yards on him...He was with him then got beat...
He only even slowed down to time the slide cos he was keeping up with him for the first 20 yards

Jorginho would be 10 yards behind by the time Fabinho made that tackle

Don't let his lethargic look deceive you, man pings passes forward without a care... Someone creating more chances than half of the City team is not something to sneeze at..
Pinging forward passes is not the same as press resistance

Fabregas is the best at pinging forward passes but giving him a ball with a man on his back could spell danger, that's why he could not replace Xavi. That specific skill is the ability to do a half-turn. Fabinho turns slowly

I can as well find a vid of Jorg doing well pace wise but that's You tube, meant to cherry pick...
Sliding ain't really technical awareness, every footballer should know how to slide, it's all part of the armoury to stop counters. That's Adam Armstrong he's chasing there, who's a speed demon

This is Jorginho busting his gut, head down, driving forward to stop a counterattack. You can't find anything to make Jorginho quick

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ECm1asdgLM

Here's some comparisons for you. On an average day, Fabinho should have the speed to stop Hudson Odoi, and if not, get close enough to stretch and play the ball out

Fab's heat map last season together with his passing Sonar...This is in correction to you erroneously claiming he's not very press resistant....
To survive in Liverpool's highline, 1)being press resistant is needed..
2) Being able to intercept up the pitch (opponents half) is vital
3) Comfortable with the ball to feet...

Note- Rodri has played over 200 more minutes than Fab this Season...
Fabinho is safe with the ball, I'm comfortable with him. He just looks slow to turn but then he doesn't put the team in danger receiving the ball, although he avoids receiving it many times if things are hot

On the contrary, you're wrong. Fabinho is probably the slowest Liverpool player alongside Matip, but what they lack in pace, they more than make up for in technical awareness....
Don't know why you keep saying he's fast...
No Liverpool players are slow, except Thiago.

Fabinho was a right back and fast enough. He is not blistering but faster than most CMs, you must be comparing him to your flying wingers. CMs are the slowest on the pitch and Fabinho is one of the faster CMs. He is the guy who steps into fullback positions without missing a beat when Trent and Robbo fly forward.

Leftist policies are tending to socialist/marxist inch by inch. Democrats dont want to declare themselves as communists but their actions betray them as commies.
Firstly, in America, it is inevitable that they move left slightly as a society to reflect what their European forebears and Canadian neighbours are enjoying. Western countries do compare themselves with each other.

Secondly, those who carry more than their fair share of the tax burden (College-Educated and the Wealthy) are majority democrat. Their voting behaviour suggests they don't agree. Obama cut their taxes more heavily than Trump who just gave them a miniscule cut in order to force through his Corporation tax cut.

The concern is that blue states politicians campaign on massive funding for grandiose projects and welfare.
One area is going green, this makes the libtards feel good about themselves. Thus revenue has to be raised from somewhere. Higher state taxes.
Major part of public welfare is spent on Housing. The higher property prices, the more the expenditure. Another symptom of success

I don't expect per Capita spending to house welfare recipients by a council in London to be the same as a council in Dundee

I laughed my ass out when you were painting that fake picture of you not being biased towards a player. You have taken Jorginho's case too personal. You bad mouth everything he does, even if it is totally unconnected to Chelsea.

An unbiased mind that blames only one player for his team's losses and always the least to be thanked when his team wins.

Being biased is amplifying Jorginho's limited press resistance which you know is because of his lack of upper body strength as the cause of our losses, while crediting Kante and Donarunma for his success.

You were pained against Watford that Saul made you see how good Jorginho is... But as an unrelenting biased hypocrite, you quickly consoled your with: "Jorginho is good if his replacement is Saul".

Mendy gave a silly pass against united but our defence reacted swiftly to rescue the situation. Jorginho gave a bad pass to him yesterday and he decided to use that opportunity to test his dribbling skill.
And those shouting about Jorginho because of the favourable juxtaposition with Saul who is not even a footballer at this stage, what did they say within 30 minutes of the next game?

I'm glad you have admitted he has limited press resistance. At least you have some cognizanse of the facts unlike someone who has nothing to offer but parroting quotes from people.

Well you just highlighted why I am biased against Jorginho in the bolded. I am biased because of lack of two qualities I consider non-negotiable in a DM. I can abide not having one of the qualities, I cannot abide not having both in the same DM

(1.) No press resistance
(2.) No pace to bring the team up to playing on the halfway line consistently without real danger of counterattack

It is not personal. If he developed one of these two qualities, all my criticism goes away. Lack of these two qualities in a DM turns any team into a cautious one. Fabinho is not very press resistant but his pace alone has turned Liverpool into the most attacking team in the Prem by ensuring they can keep highline consistently. Rodri lacks pace to stop counterattack but his mastery of press resistance ensures teams don't get the ball much to counterattack. To win comfortably and consistently in this era to claim a league title, you must have a DM robust enough to allow you to make games easy, rather than grinding out results by playing cautiously to protect his weaknesses

I have been consistent with these two requirements for a DM over 10 years on this forum, and over Jorginhos 4 year stay, so you should not be surprised that I am biased if you lack these qualities.

Many cancer patients die of flu after their immune system has been weakened to zero by the cancer. Instead of blaming the flu for the death, it is better to blame the 25 years of smoking that led to the cancer. So yes, I am within my rights to blame Jorginho for losses if his weaknesses did not make Chelsea dominant in the game to make the game easy. Even if he did not directly cause any goal or miss any chances. However he did in the last two games. Highlighting that is just food for lazy man who can't see how his 25 years of smoking (not being able to break the press or put Chelsea in an attacking shape due to his lack of pace) has cost Chelsea the game over 90 minutes.

BTW, you do not need strength to be press resistant. You need reliability of technique. Ask Xavi

This guy joined this forum to brag or what?
Stop making noise. The below are the points I made as to why Covid is not hitting Africa as hard

(1.) Young population

(2.) Less people with underlying conditions due to the fact those with underlying conditions are more likely to have already died from it (citing example of kidney failure which is a manageable underlying condition abroad, unlike Nigeria where you die unless people raise funds to send you abroad)

(3.) Lack of official statistics and a coordinated Health Care reporting system leading to underreporting

(4.) Lower obesity rate

(5.) Good sunshine which inhibits spread of the virus on surfaces.

You saw all these and proceeded to get defensive and start making noise about how healthcare is good in Nigeria in denial of the facts. Well you can keep deceiving yourself that where you made your bed to lie is most comfortable. If your healthcare is so good, why not extend the same efficiency to mortality rates from malaria, polio, typhoid, HIV, infant mortality and the rest, just empty chest beating.

As far as assets, don't worry about that. I will retire your whole community comfortably in Umudike if I stopped today. You were making noise about travelling, I showed you your paltry travels ain't worth much, you start yapping about assets.

Ibime:
Africans with underlying conditions have already died from the condition. West is carrying many people that should have died since if not for fantastic healthcare.

I have lost 3 friends to kidney failure in PH in the last 7 years, all in their 30s. Wetin dey cause high level of kidney failure in young men in Nigeria? I don't know any young person abroad with kidney failure, and the ones who have such in the West are still alive with transplants, dialysis and such. Nigerians die like fowl from common diabetic shock.

Besides, Nigerian deaths from Covid are severely underreported, often falling under the very Nigerian killer called brief illness. On the other hand, Nigeria has an overwhelmingly young population who are less susceptible to Covid, lower rates of obesity, and hot weather and sunlight which kills the virus quickly on surfaces.

He is Ok. I am not happy with his receiving of the ball, but at least he has one of the two qualities I need in a DM (speed and receiving the ball under pressure), while Jorginho has none. Just like Casemiro, if you can't receive the ball properly, that can be mitigated partly by a Modric dropping deep to facilitate that aspect of receiving the ball from defence.

Wow!! Just wow!! The guts and arrogance. For your mind to even fathom that, you are trying to say that a player who the best in the best recognize as a top player is bad because YOU said so. I won't even argue with you again on this.
A player who has already shown his pedigree. Crucial to 3 successful systems in the past few years.
There is nothing you and I can say on this that will change anything after all, you will keep seeing him play in our club and you will only continue to grieve. You will sulk and sulk and sulk. Whenever we win, you will credit the win to others and when we lose, you will well up with tears in your eyes with your fangs out lamenting and scapegoating one of the best midfielders in the world. You always type without adding anything of substance, no understanding of midfield work or tactical insight, just repeating platitudes and falsehoods about Jorginho being a good playmaker when stats show otherwise, pointing at what people said about him, and constantly repeating falsehoods. How is Jorginho crucial to 3 successful systems? Jorginho was the weakness of Sarri and Lampard systems who has never been successful until Tuchel found a way to mollycuddle and cover his weaknesses with community defending while simultaneously scrapping his high possession style of football.

It is better you leave defence of Jorginho to those who know what they are talking about like User09 who can at least point out his strengths (which I highlighted). Your defences of him are nothing but empty chest beating with no tactical or technical insight. Your head is vacant.
