He has no business trying to cut out the ball by marking the space as he has a man to mark and Ginter and Kimmich also have men to mark, and Rudiger is already out of position so anything that comes through that channel is for Rudiger to deal with while he focus on marking his man.

No they don't. You simply look at whether they have good players in those positions and even if your player is better, they will not give your player minutes over their own prospect. He should fit in nicely at Norwich as Norwich have no standout DM.

Also the players you mentioned (Sakho, Lukaku) cost millions to loan and were done with a view to a purchase, which is a financial commitment they must get utility from, unlike a young player like Gilmour.

Teams prioritise their own players over loan players mostly for financial reasons especially if their own players are performing. Wolves play with two midfielders - Neves for control and Dendoncker the runner. He will be competing directly with Neves and no way Wolves will let a good player of theirs like Neves depreciate in value on the bench while appreciating the value of a Chelsea loanee. Jorginho will also chop bench behind Neves in the same situation, 100% confam.

I will remind you how West Brom put Gnabry on bench for their own player Jonathan Leko. You should know how loan system works by now. I will point you to my post in 2016 on Gnabry Vs Leko so you know what knowledgeable people think about when judging loan prospects for their players. You can also see why I said Jeremie Boga didn't get playing time at Rennes as Rennes prioritise their own players. Of course we all know now that Jeremie Boga is a bigger player than Rennes.

Tony Pulis does not care about the development of the player and would not take the time to develop or coach him into what he wants. A privilege that was afforded to Jonathan Leko, a 17 year old similar style of player from West Brom academy who is afforded the coaching, effort and given ample game time as soon as it looked like West Brom would be secure in the topflight. Pulis simply has no incentive to coach Gnabry, but he has to coach Leko.

Boga is not better than Dembele, rightly so. But Dembele himself is good enough to take 1st team shirt at Chelsea.

My point being that the fact a player did not get games on loan is not evidence of a player's worth. In Boga's case, this was a bad loan because he was put in a no-win situation against Rennes best player and biggest asset.
