Music/Radio / Truth About Wande Coal’s Career You Never Wanted To Know- Ibnatty by IBnatty(m): 5:59pm On Oct 28, 2015
Flash back to 2007 when Wande gave us the love Ballard, Ololufe and subsequently to the Mo' Hits' CV album, Music lovers were wondering whether the boy is the beginning of a new era or a flash in the pan. Two years later, he unleashed multi hits laden album, Mushin 2 MO ‘Hits. With that he not only cleared doubts as to whether he's the beginning of a new era, he set a pace for the new school. Fast forward to present day, who would have ever believed it would take 6 years for Wande to march at same the pace again?
Sailing in the same ship with one of African's biggest entertainer and backed by a certified hit maker producer, coming up in the industry was relatively easy compared to those that hawked rat poison to afford a studio session. Under the watch of Don Baba J and D'Banj, he rose to become unarguably heir apparent to the throne, the throne now occupied by likes of Wizkid, Olamide & Davido. How did Wande Coal lose his throne?
It all started from the MO‘Hits era. No doubt the label did a good job in grooming the boy and his sound. But after Wande’s first album dropped, it was very clear he’s matured to be a Headliner. All he needed was to be always on the scene but the label was only interested in maintaining his second fiddle role to D'Banj or giving his career a commercial break. While in Marvin, 'carry everybody along' agenda which the label seemingly adopted then dulled him. Suffice to say, his career continued on its inconsistent path. Looking at Nigerian Music industry, every artiste steady banging at the top is either getting full attention or at least first attention from whichever label they are under. Two things Wande never had while in MO ‘Hits or Marvin but from Wizkid, Olamide, Davido to Psquare and few other Consistent hit makers, the story is the same. No doubt, had Wande Coal been under a label that gave him full or first attention, he would be sitting on the throne now.
At any point artistes find their career in a catch-22 status, their three saviours are usually the wisdom to know their talent will make the way, the confidence to believe in what they can do and thirdly the courage to take a bold step. Three years ago, Wande had a chance to take a bold step; brace up and ride on the Don Jazzy & D'Banj split huge media buzz and re-launched a career, without disrespecting or taking sides with either of the 2 giants. At that time, he's matured enough both in age and in the industry to carry on with his former bosses. But either he lacked the courage to take the bold step or he hasn't been reading the handwriting that's been on the wall for a while. And when he eventually did step out, he did so rather acromousiously which didn’t do the required magic.
One thing is clear, Wande Coal has the talents to be one of Nigeria's greatest singers but one thing has always been unclear, the 'willingness' on his part to secure a space where he rightly belongs. Even with some hot banging tunes to his name before he dropped Wanted, his body language still tell he only wants to hang in there but his fans want more for he hasn't been that singer they really wanted 6 years after M2M.
Like every other true fan, I believe the Wanted album will put Wande back on top of the log. And I sincerely hope this time around he will make serious effort to stay there for long.

simpleseyi: Internationally - Pope Francis - The reasons are obvious
Locally - Obasanjo - Also for obvious reasons, he wrote letters to Shehu Shagari, one of the letters lead to the ouster of the corrupt government. He wrote Muhammadu Buhari. He wrote IBB. He wrote Abacha and that landed him in jail. Now, he has written GEJ and pro-GEJ campaigners think they can bully Obasanjo. These current pro-GEJ campaigners including Edwin Clark, Asari Dokuboh, Uranta Douglas, Doyin Oku-Igbe, and the many e-rats were no where to be found when Wole Soyinka, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Odumakin and the SNG went to National Assembly to demand that GEJ should be brought out of Turai's kitchen and made acting president.

Meanwhile, have you tried this site http:///19rcMQj ? You will be will excited, it does not matter whether you are pro-GEJ or pro-OBJ, as for me, I am pro good governance.

In a few days 2013 will take a bow and will forever be referred with a past tense. This year, alot of things happened, some became heros, some villians, some died, some were born. Some touched, inspired and transformed lives while some did the exact opposite. Some were outstanding and dazzled while some dimmed and fizzled into oblivion.

Who do you think deserves to be your person of the year and why?
1)Internationally and
2)Local

1)My Person of the year is Pope Francis, he become the first non european pope since 1,200yrs ago. Since he became a pope, he has given the papacy a humble and meek outlook besides so many transformation he has brought to bear. He's also Times Magazine person of the year.

2)Locally, Stephen Keshi.
This man brought smiles to football loving nigerians after leading the SE to win the AFCON since 1994. Also SE are now playing with flair, something that Nigerians have been longing to see for a long time.

Car Talk / Re: The Police Are Always Strict On Young Motorists On The Highway: Why? by IBnatty(m): 2:37pm On Nov 20, 2013
I am always conscious of my appearance, hence I dress smart and like a responsible citizen that I am. Besides, I wear harry potter glasses.
As a youth worker/ (student leader (not SUG things o) most times I am not alone in the car, my male colleagues always accompany me.
I usually experience this in Imo, Anambra and (a few times between in Enugu)
Car Talk / The Police Are Always Strict On Young Motorists On The Highway: Why? by IBnatty(m): 1:35pm On Nov 20, 2013
I don't know why the Police are so mean whenever they see a youngman(mostly youths between 18 - 28 years) on the highway. More often than not, such motorists are asked to open their booths, show their papers and as well asked some questions. Severally I've seen and experienced this, especially in the East.
If you very observant, you will notice that most motorists the Police pull over on the highways are youngmen within this age bracket (and hardly do they pull female motorists over) Why is this? Can't a youngman get money anymore?

2) Start doing number 1 today, no matter how small.
3)Dont ever stop doing 1 and 2 till end time.

They were hopeful on the WEB that by memorizing MANUAL instructions they will see a SILVA lining in their dark cloud. YAYA, it's true, they even asked JESUS to play for them.

But in the end the man that kept his HAZARD on the left and has GARY at his back was THE HAPPY ONE.Dd

Sports / Who do you think is behind the mysterious #WINNERTAKESEARTH messages? by IBnatty(m): 2:04pm On Oct 27, 2013
Since Sunday 20th Oct. the world has been getting doses of mysterious and unexplained messages in the form of hollograms, symbols and 11 cranky dressed men in a stadium.

They first appeared in Rio de Janeiro on sugarloaf mountain on sunday night 20th Oct. Next was in London at Hackney Marshes the venue of grassroot amateur soccer. Within a week they surfaced at Square Times in New York, again in Rio at the Copacabana bay and at Allianz Arena yesterday 26th Oct. during Hertha Berlin vs Bayern match.

My question is.. Are these signs a concept of a blue chip company and strategy to launch a product before or at the mundial hence something to ignore? or..
A message that fore warns about a terrible or unpleasant event during or after the world cup. To be honest, these cryptic signs are beginning to get to me, i dont know about you.
Please feel free to drop your own opinion.

Btw.. The message reads #WINNERTAKESEARTH. That is ''WINNER TAKES EARTH''.
