I know you can't prove ur claim and as usual you result to abuse as an escape rout. For ur info, there is no verse in d Quran or Hadith that support ur claim. FACT! I know u are a Christian and we have seen gay bishops and pastors who support gay right. My question to you is are they speaking from biblical authority or they speak their view?

Religion / Re: Demands For Money And Other Things By Worshippers In My Local Church by Ibnkathir: 6:41am On Sep 15, 2017
kennybabs1980:
I started pastoring a small parish of a big Pentecostal church in Akure in 2012. We used to meet in a small location in a housing estate until 2015 when we relocated to our permanent site, a location that's about 10km farther than our former site.

Most of the worshippers in the former location refused to relocate when we moved because of the distance and associated stress. That means we have to start the parish all over again. So we have been having very low attendance which has been improving since about 4 months now.

The new site is a new community occupied mainly by people who have just moved to their personal houses. More than 60% of the plots remained undeveloped for now.

One major issue here is the rate at which most people that attend the parish sees the church as a place where their needs must be met. They keep coming up with one demand or the other every week. Their demands include food, money and now that school is about to resume, school fees and books. Parents will teach their little children to go and tell stories of how they can't resume at school since they don't have school fees and books, elderly people even come around to ask for money and food, this situation is becoming very disturbing and worrisome.

How can people see a very small church of less than 40 (90% children) in attendance as a source of supply of all their needs? Our parent church don't get involved in funding the small parish, we are the one who returns our tithes and offerings to the national headquarters every month. Offering in the church is small, adults come around to put N10 or N20 in offering bag and later send their children to go and ask for N10k assistance, I got pissed off this evening when a small girl who attends a public secondary school came around to ask for school fees of N10k and books of N10k for herself and same for her 2 siblings making a total of N30k. We bought exercise books and gave 4 to each pupil just last Sunday with pencils and biros and between then and now, they have bombarded the church with demands of well over N100k. Where do they really want the church to meet their demands? The church is operating under a temporary shed we put up in 2015, we've not been able to continue with serious building project due to paucity of funds. We (I, my wife, my assistant and his wife) have been trying in the areas of giving out food items, money, drugs, clothes etc to these people yet its one demand or the other on a daily basis.
I see these attitude as unwholesome, disturbing and unfair.

I need serious suggestions on how to really handle this situation as it is already dampening my morale. Matured and spiritual suggestions welcomed, thanks.
That is what u get when pastors only preach miracles and prosperity. Again people now know that churches make hell of money from its members so it is time to give back bro. So no complaints. The only solution is churches must stop the show of magic and start preaching salvation.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Senate To End Underground Recruitment Into Federal Agencies – Saraki by Ibnkathir: 8:41am On Aug 25, 2017
massinola:
Baba Ali story. What's happening in this country is really pathetic. And just one region is the beneficiary. I schooled in the north, 75% of my course mates from the north who were the back benchers have gotten federal jobs. Some of their appointment letter were delivered directly to their homes. No interview, no nothing, just come and collect, as if Nigeria is their personal property. No wonder they are fighting tooth and nail to keep this contraption together, maintaining the status quo. When I said jobs I meant high paying federal jobs, cbn firs, dss npc, ncc and so on. People who couldn't even manage 2:2 grade. Because they are in power. It is really a pity.
u seem to think u r better than others. Ur post only portrays u as one who just have natural hate for the north and nothing else. Every region is guilty of the said bad practice. An example was during Gej, the then dss spoke person meryline ogar had some of her siblings recruited in to the service without recourse to due process. Hence this practice is largely dependent on the govt in power and the heads of this agencies acting on the request of the politicians. Ur likes may even do worse if given opportunity.
Politics / Re: 2019: 7 PDP ‘heavyweights’ That May Slug It Out With Buhari by Ibnkathir: 9:59am On Aug 20, 2017
yns4real:
President Muhammadu Buhari, who has only just returned yesterday after over a hundred days of medical leave, is yet to declare his interest in seeking a second term of office.

The possibility of that happening cannot be ruled out as his loyalists and political associates have continued to fly that kite. But the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which was ousted from power in 2015 by the All Progressives Congress (APC), has vowed to make a comeback in 2019.

The PDP’s resolve to upstage the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC government was reinforced at its recent mini convention in Abuja where the party’s bigwigs vowed to dethrone the governing APC using the slogan: ‘Change the Change’.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had released the timetable for the 2019 elections in March this year, indicating that the next presidential and National Assembly elections will hold on February 16, 2019. If President Buhari decides to re-contest in 2019, he would certainly face gladiators from the main opposition PDP, many of whom have already started aligning their interests for the presidential ticket ahead of the elections. Daily Trust on Sunday takes a look at seven heavyweights from amongs which, the PDP’s champion may emerge to face President Buhari.

Ahmed Makarfi

Within the eight years that Senator Ahmed Makarfi was governor of Kaduna State (from 1999 to 2007), he was credited with the ability to mitigate religious and ethnic violence in the state and has, through that feat, projected himself as an objective and fair-minded leader.

His outstanding performance in the state’s infrastructural development with his focus on rural roads, rural water and rural electrification shot him into national limelight.

Makarfi was a senator in 2007-15 where he chaired the committee on Appropriation. Though he lost the bid to return for a third time in 2015, his profile rose further when PDP governors and party members appointed him Chairman of the party at the Port Harcourt convention that held last year.

Since then he had been battling for the position with former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, until recently when the Supreme Court ruled in his favour.

Makarfi is expected to relinquish the PDP chairmanship, which has been zoned to the Southwest, but he is already a likely candidate for its presidential ticket, which was zoned to the North, especially given the trust key members of the party, especially serving governors, have in him. If he eventually secures the PDP ticket, he is likely to face President Buhari in the 2019 presidential race.

Sule Lamido

Alhaji Sule Lamido, a former two-term governor of Jigawa State, has already commenced campaign for the PDP ticket ahead of 2019. In April last year, he reportedly told newsmen in his village, Bamaina in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of the State, “If my party finds me worthy of the party’s presidential ticket to serve Nigeria, I will thank God and oblige.”

Two weeks after he was released on bail from prison over allegations of incitement preferred against him by the Jigawa State Government in May this year, Lamido unveiled his 2019 presidential bid during a dinner for the 36 state chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Abuja.
Lamido is one of the most experienced politicians in Nigeria today, having been a prominent PRP member of the House of Representatives in the Second Republic and also serving as a leading member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the Third Republic. He was also Obasanjo’s Foreign Affairs Minister between 1999 and 2003.

As governor of Jigawa, he earned kudos for executing many worthwhile infrastructural projects including roads, airport and a state university.

Throughout his political career however, Lamido’s reputation is that of a political hothead who is known for controversies and ruffling political feathers.

Atiku Abubakar

A former Vice President for eight years, Atiku Abubakar is a political heavyweight in Nigeria with considerable political machinery especially in Northern Nigeria at his service. Atiku, who never hides his presidential ambition, had contested the 2007 presidential election on the platform of the defunct Action Congress (AC) after realizing that he could not get the PDP ticket because of his frosty relationship with then President Obasanjo. Atiku also contested for the PDP presidential ticket against President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011. He again vied for APC’s ticket in 2014 against President Buhari, finishing third at the Lagos convention.

The action, body language and utterances of the Waziri of Adamawa are enough to show that he is prepared to take another shot at the presidential race in 2019. In the past year Atiku became a vocal voice for restructuring, a move seen as a strategy to woo the South-South and South-East, regions where Buhari is less popular. In the North, Atiku’s strategy is to insist on a “power shift” to the North East.

He has been saying since 1999 that the North West has marginalised the North East in top political offices. Those strategies are backed by very deep pockets and one of the greatest determinations in Nigerian politics. Atiku celebrated his 70th birthday recently and his renewed determination probably stems from a calculation that 2019, when he will be 72, is his last chance.

However, Atiku’s political reputation over the years has been harmed by his frequent change of political parties in pursuit of his presidential ambition. In the run up to 2019, though still an APC stalwart, it is possible that he may again return to the PDP to jostle for its presidential ticket. He is already laying grounds for that because he recently attacked APC as a party without internal democracy.

Ayo Fayose

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose is largely seen as fearless as a result of his controversial comments and leadership style. His February 21, 2017 declaration of presidential ambition in 2019 was also seen by commentators as a joke, but he seems quite serious about it. Some insiders are already calling him the ‘Donald Trump of Nigeria.’

The 56-year-old Fayose, who is the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, expressed his interest in the presidency during a live television interview saying that in the near future, he will take over the mantle to lead the nation as his future was tied to the presidency.

“It is not by power; it is destiny. I did not believe it when I became Ekiti governor. After eight years, I will be the vice president of Nigeria, even the President very soon,” he was quoted as saying.

The maverick governor may however have to contend with an array of other interests within the PDP, some of who are seen as having brighter chances.
He has also echoed his resolve to be president in May this year when he met with political office holders at Government House, Ado Ekiti.

“I have a penchant for taking powers. That one in Buhari’s hand, I will take it. I’m going straight to that villa. I’m the next president. I want to be the next president of Nigeria. My own won’t be this change that has brought nothing, we are going to represent the people well and tell them the truth,” he said.

David Mark

Senator David Mark, a retired military general, was military Governor of Niger State from 1984 to 1986. He later became a minister of Communications in 1987. He went on self-exile from 1993 to 1998 following the annulment of the June 12 1993 election. With the return to democracy in 1999, he contested for the Benue South Senatorial seat on the platform of the PDP and won. He was re-elected to serve from 2003 to 2007 and re-contested and won. He became Senate President from 2007 to 2011 and got re-elected for a fourth tenure from 2011 to 2015.

When the curtains fell on the 7th session of Nigeria’s National Assembly, Mark who was one of the most prominent characters of that era, retreated backstage as a member of the 8th session after his party became a minority. As senate president, Mark was known for his ignoble role in deepening and institutionalizing the culture of secrecy at Nigeria’s federal legislative body.

While the leadership crisis in the PDP between Makarfi and Sheriff festered, Mark, initially maintained silence until last April.

In a statement by Paul Mumeh, his media aide, Mark reportedly said the problem with the party had persisted because the major actors in the peace talks were not coming with open minds.
Mark, however, vowed to remain in the party despite the challenges while also criticizing those who have left the party.

Mark became relatively passive in the Senate, maintaining a posture of ‘siddon look’ in the 8th Assembly, which brought him under verbal attacks from many Nigerians. Mark later attributed his silence to the defeat suffered by his party in the 2015 elections.

Although he has not openly indicated his interest to run for the Presidency, campaign posters of the former Senate President have started flooding some parts of the country, including on social media. If the posters are anything to go by, it means Mark would also be seeking the PDP’s presidential ticket to slug it out with Buhari in 2019.

Donald Duke

A former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke entered into public service for the first time in 1991 when he was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Voice of Nigeria (VON). In 1992, he was appointed a member of the Cross River State Executive Council where he held the portfolio of Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning.

He created the idea of Obudu Ranch International Mountain race which became one of the most lucrative mountain competitions in the world under his stewardship. Duke also started the Tinapa Resort project as a way to boost business and tourism in the state.

As Governor of Cross River State, Duke was praised for his contributions to the fields of Agriculture, Urban Development, governance, environment, information and communication. It was through his efforts that Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, is being seen today as the ‘cleanest city in Nigeria.’

Duke first announced that he would run for president in 2007 but later stepped aside for the eventual winner, the late Umaru Yar’ Adua.

In May this year, the former governor declared that he wants to be Nigeria’s President at a programme, “The Nigerian Symposium for Emerging Leaders,” held in Lagos.

Duke said though he once aspired to the position but did not emerge the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, he would still contest for the highest office in the country at the appropriate time. He explained that it was because of his preference for the presidential seat that he did not vie for any federal legislative seat after serving out his terms as governor.

“I do not have the flair for the legislature; standing up and sitting down at the chambers to raise a point. That was why I did not contest for the Senate but the presidency, after serving out my term as governor. I have contested the presidency before; I will still give it a shot when the opportunity presents itself. I believe I still have the energy in me,” he said.

With the passage of the Not Too Young to Run bill into law, Duke who is relatively younger may want to take advantage to make history as Nigeria’s youngest elected president. And if he emerges the PDP’s presidential ticket bearer, he would one of the youngest candidates to contest.

Ibrahim Dankwambo

A former Accountant General of the Federation, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo was elected governor of Gombe State in 2011 and was re-elected on the platform of his party, the PDP, in 2015.

As one of the two PDP governors in the North who had made himself a national figure, he has reportedly commenced moves to secure the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket for the 2019 general elections. Dankwambo’s interest is largely predicated on the zoning of the PDP’s Presidential ticket to the North.

It is believed that he would seek the support of Nigerian governors who have always endorsed one of themselves for the presidential slot to actualize his ambition. However whether Dankwambo has the financial wherewithal as well as the political clout to slug it out with other gladiators for the PDP presidential ticket remains to be seen. Should he emerge the ticket bearer, Dankwambo would then have to face President Buhari if he decides to seek re-election in 2019.

Religion / Re: This Is How A Christian Should View Homosexuality by Ibnkathir: 2:55pm On Aug 13, 2017
newsynews:

Today, I will be speaking on homosexuality and what a Christians view should be on the issue. Nowadays, we get to see even those who call themselves Christians say "I don't care what homosexuals do as long as it is in the privacy of their bedrooms". I pity them when they make this statement cos they don't know the danger such statement out's them in. I pray Nairaland moves this thread to front page so that my fellow Christians will desist from making that grave mistake.

Below are some questions and points often raised by homosexuals and some decieve people to fool gullible Christians and the world.

1. Isn't fornication also a sin?

Yes, it is. But the situation of homosexuality is o e that cries to God for vengeance.

And the Lord said: The cry of Sodom and Gomorrha is multiplied, and their sin is become exceedingly grievous. I will go down and see whether they have done according to the cry that is come to me: or whether it be not so, that I may know. - Gen. 18:20-21

2. We were born that way

That's a big lie! For decades, these homosexuals have been spending huge millions just to find what they call a gay gene to justify their sin, but all to no avail. God created everything male and female. He created the woman for the man, not a man for a man.

1 Corinthians 11:9
Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

But due to the hatred for God, some humans lusted after sin.

Romans 1:26-27
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

3. Gays just want to be left alone in the privacy of their bedrooms.

Homosexuals and their supporters often say the above line to fool the gullible who doesn't know that history always repeats itself. No, homosexuals don't want to be left alone in their bedrooms. They want everyone in the city, country and in the world to become homosexuals like them. That's why we see them indoctrinating everyone with gay pride parade, gay characters in Hollywood movies and cartoons etc. They are growing more powerful and we will soon get to the point where they will demand you become gay, show support or get ostracized. Remember what they wanted to do to the 2 angels that visited Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah. If homosexuals just want to be in the privacy of their homes, why then did their forefathers came to try to sodomize Lot and the 2 angels in Lot's house?
To be honest while Islam has taken a strong stand against homosexuality, a stand which has caused a lot of people to tag Islam an extremist religion. Christianity on the other hand seems to posture itself like a religion that accept everyone irrespective of ur dealings(liberal). These approach adopted by Christians is as a result of the fear of being named extremist religion. The devil has taken advantage of this situation in the christiandom to push it agenda using the terminologies such as freedom, democracy, liberalism etc to make this abnormality look normal. My point is that homosexuality is bad in both Islam and Christianity hence let's stop being hypocritical by choosing parts of the scriptures we want to believe and discarding areas that doesn't fit our desires.

The death toll is on the increase as the injured and the dead bodies have been taken to NAUTH Nnewi..

Unconfirmed reports allege that the gunmen who invaded St Philip's Catholic church at Ofufe Amakwa Ozubulu had came in search of the church building donor and a South African based Millionaire son of the clan, Chief Alloysius Ikegwuonu popularly know as ‘Bishop’ but out of fury in the glaring absence of their target, bursted into the church close to his domain and started a sporadic shooting.

A facebook user wrote;

The true story:The church was single handedly built by Bishop for his town. This trouble originated from South Africa, and has taken lives of prominent Ozubulu sons and Daughters in SA. There is a lenghty list of those they say must die. Unfortunately, this had continued since 3 years now.
But why bringing issues that happened in SA into the church in their own village?

Politics / Re: Audio & Transcript Of Anti-Igbo Song In Hausa Language Now In Circulation by Ibnkathir: 1:10pm On Aug 06, 2017
BabaRamota1980:
First I want to appeal to Almighty Allah to help me in this song not to deviate, these useless children of thieves and unemployed. Igbos in Nigeria have no sun.

Chorus:

Igbos (Inyamirin) are ungrateful people and fools
Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

Let’s drag and drag and see who will sleep in the sun,
Igbo land, in the beginning, has no name, they were helped to get name and identity. And that’s the beginning of their trouble.

Chorus:

Igbos (Inyamirin) are ungrateful people and fools
Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

Please let’s ask, who is an Igbo, it’s Igbo that suffered and said he needs water and that’s how we started calling them Inyamuri.

Chorus:

Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

Igbos who are doing rubbish work, they tried us in the past but couldn’t succeed. Your leader who led the rebellion told you to repent and don’t venture into fruitless war.

Chorus:

Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

A child doesn’t know fire until he marches on it and realizes, you will not be able to quench this fire you ignited. Stupid and shameless boy if you fit we are waiting. Let the country be divided and let’s see who will cry.

Chorus:

Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

We knew they have nothing since their origin, it was with the money of the north, that oil was explored and found. We are farming and grazing with our cattle and knew they have nothing.

Chorus:

Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

We northerners farm beans and they have nothing, we farm rice and they have nothing, they neither farm potatoes nor cocoa yam. They don’t have wheat, pepper, no grains and nothing. No onions and groundnuts, we eat surplus and gave southerners food. Let the country be divided, let the country be divided, we northerners are saying let the country split.

You said you don’t want us, we too we don’t want you anymore. This is our land and not someone father’s land, brothers and sisters. We have all it takes.
Igbos are the ones that ruined this country, we all know that they are the ones disguising as Fulani killing people and committing armed robbery, they are the ones blocking roads and also disguising as Boko Haram killing people without shame.

They are the ones destroying our youths and children with drugs, let the country be divided because Igbos have no any day.

They did not support our President but rigged him out. Only Yorubas supported and collaborated with us. Hausa and Fulani too collaborated but Igbos refused and we don’t want them anymore.

They inherited nothing but useless things from their origin, they did so many atrocities in the past. They killed Sardauna, Sir Ahmadu Bello our hero, they did same with Sir Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa.

Chorus

Igbos are a curse to Nigeria, whose existence and birth as a people in Nigeria is useless, that abortion is greater than the birth of the bastards.

This should be condemned. But I think some people are playing victims and being hypocritical. Kanu has promoted hate and violence not secession. Hence the reaction is expected. We must learn to be one.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Saudi Arabia Investigates Woman Who Wore Miniskirt In Public (picture/video) by Ibnkathir: 4:39pm On Jul 19, 2017
stongman234:

A Saudi woman who posted a video of herself wearing a miniskirt and crop top in public is being investigated by the country’s religious police.
The young woman, a model reportedly called Khulood, potsed the short clip on Snapchat showing herself walking around a historic fort in Ushayqir.

Ushayqir Heritage Village, which is around 96 miles away from Riyadh, is in Najd – one of the country’s most conservative provinces.
Since the video was shared online, many Saudis have called for Khulood to be arrested for breaking the country’s strict dress code.
Women in Saudi Arabia are required to wear ‘abayas’ – loose-fitting, full-length robes – and headscarves.

According to the BBC, journalist Khaled Zian tweeted: ‘The return of the Haia [religious police] here is a must.’
And another user argued: ‘We should respect the laws of the country.

‘In France, the niqab is banned and women are fined if they wear it. In Saudi Arabia, wearing abayas and modest clothing is part of the kingdom’s laws.’
But many other Saudis came to the woman’s defence, calling her ‘brave’ and pointing out the hypocrisy of calling for her arrest, while praising western women who dress in the same way.
Wael al-Gassim, the writer and philosopher, told the BBC he was ‘shocked to see those angry, scary tweets’.
‘I thought she had bombed or killed somebody. The story turned out to be about her skirt, which they did not like,’ he said.

Some also noted that Melania Trump chose not to wear an abaya during her husband’s visit to Saudi in May, and yet was praised for her choice of dress.
Fatima al-Issa tweeted in Arabic: ‘If she were a foreigner, they would sing about the beauty of her waist and the enchantment of her eyes… But because she is Saudi they are calling for her arrest.’
Saudi’s religious police, the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, tweeted that it was aware of the video and was in contact with the relevant authorities.

Politics / Re: Things That Would Have Happened If Saraki Didn't Become The Senate President by Ibnkathir: 12:49pm On Jul 06, 2017
coolscott:
Having their preferred man at the helm of the affairs in the senate would have made easier the backing of the whims and desires of the executive by the senate.

Clearly, more of the intentions of the executive would be out-rightly supported or subtly promoted by the senate president, if he was the man the executive so badly wanted to put in place.

Let us look at some of these executive intentions

1). Implementation of the social media bill.

2). Implenting a grazing reserve bill to ensure cattle is reared in Nigeria the same way it has been done thousands of years ago, even though we are in mordern times and absolutely none of the top beef producing countries in the world is practice nomadic herding. Other Nigerians would have been forced to forfeit their lands to empower the idea

What else do you think would have happened if the executive's choice became senate president, and Bukola Saraki chose not to exercise his rights to satisfy his desire to contest, as his party's stalwarts told him?

Crime / Evans Tested Positive To Cocain - "I Made A Mistake" by Ibnkathir: 12:14pm On Jun 24, 2017
Dan Evans reveals positive drug test for cocaine – ‘I made a mistake’
• ‘I must face up to it,’ says British No3
• World No50 says he failed drugs test in April

Dan Evans withdrew from the Aegon International in Eastbourne.

Friday 23 June 2017 17.38 BST Last modified on Friday 23 June 2017 22.05 BST

Dan Evans, the British No3 and world No50 tennis player, revealed in a brief and emotional statement on Friday that he had failed an out-of-competition test for cocaine. He faces a lengthy ban, probably two years.

The 27-year-old from Birmingham, who has had his funding stripped twice in the past for attitude and behaviour problems, said in a hastily convened press conference in a west London hotel that lasted just a minute and a half: “Hello everyone, this is a very difficult day for me. I wanted to come here in person to tell you guys face to face, I was notified a few days ago that I failed a drugs test in April, where I tested positive for cocaine. It’s really important that you know this was taken out of competition and in a context completely unrelated to tennis.

“I made a mistake and I must face up to it. I do not condone for one second that this was acceptable behaviour. I’ve let a lot of people down: my family, my coach, my team, sponsors, British tennis and my fans. I can only deeply apologise from the bottom of my heart.

“This has been a sad and humbling experience. I hope you understand that I will not be taking any questions and I would like to thank you for your support in my career, today – for the good and bad times.”

Martina Hingis received a two-year suspension for a similar offence in 2007, when she failed a drugs test at Wimbledon, and Richard Gasquet was given 12 months in 2009. After he had served two and a half months, an International Tennis Federation tribunal panel lifted the ban, accepting the Frenchman’s story that he had inadvertently taken cocaine by kissing a woman in a nightclub.

Evans offered no excuse, and it is not known if he is preparing a defence for an appeal if, as seems certain, the ITF bans him. In a carefully worded statement , the ITF said Evans was tested “in association with his participation at the Barcelona Open on 24 April”. It added: “That sample was analysed by a World Anti-Doping Agency accredited laboratory in Montreal, Canada, and was found to contain cocaine and its metabolite. Mr Evans will be provisionally suspended with effect from 26 June.”

The Lawn Tennis Association’s performance director, Simon Timson, said: “We are very disappointed at the news. We absolutely condemn any form of drug-taking and will support the process which needs to take place.

“We are in touch with Dan and we will offer appropriate guidance, support and education to him on how best to address the issues he now faces.”

Evans, one of the most gifted young players in the country, had done well to overcome his rebellious tendencies, after falling to 772 in the ATP world Tour rankings in April 2015. He has often performed heroically for Great Britain in the Davis Cup and, intermittently over the past year, has played impressively. At the US Open last year, he had match point against Stan Wawrinka, who went on to beat Novak Djokovic in the final.

This season Evans found form on clay as well as his favoure hard court and rose to a career high of 41 in the world in March. Within a month he tested positive for cocaine which, he insists, had nothing to do with the game he can play so well.

According to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the the No-election exercise will start with Anambra state come November 2017 when the gubernatorial election will be held.

“In 2019, the whole of Biafra land will not vote for any president. There will be no Senator, there will be no House of Reps, there will be no House of Assembly and there will be no Councilor-ship elections in Biafra land if they fail to call for a referendum.”

He also said that “Nigerian government should build as many prisons as possible to jail all Biafrans because there is no going back and we are ready to go there unless the federal government gives us Biafra.

“We are not like any other people. People like us don’t come twice. That’s why I know that with the last breath in this very body that Biafra will be restored. There’s nothing anybody can do about it. Tell them that’s what I said. Nobody on this earth can stop Biafra,”

The mother of two made the disclosure on ‘in bed with adwen’ a show which airs on ETV

“Anal sex is great. It’s very great but it depends on the two individuals because you need to find out if your partner likes it or not. But as for me, I love Anal sex, I really do but I and my partner needs to know what we want to do so that we can both enjoy it.

Story, when it comes to argument you won't bring yourself to the level of sectional, ethnic and religious way of NL.

Please stop lying to yourself, in Nigeria of today governance especially is being run along sectional, ethnic and religious line. Denying that is being dishonest to oneself. How can you correct the system if you don't accept that there is a problem?

Pretending that the problem is less severe than it is, isn't going to fix it, refusing to call the problem what it is isn't also going to make it go away.

Like I said I am still waiting for a link to the news on any Northerners/Northern NGO giving charity to the South.
Good and I won't waste anymore time with u.
