Dejola24856: Yeah it wouldnt make sense to you cuz it's not what you wanna hear. But believe me the numbers of applicant on here is not even up to 0.000001% of the total applicants. So judging your success or failure based on what people post or say on here is a no no.
Aaabeg make I watch African magic! . Don't mind him it make sense. The population sample here is too inconsequential to draw a reasonable conclusion. |

Thats for the dummy Of course from your observation, that shows that her cognitive test was assessed woefully which granted regret mail since she was busy making screenshots. While she concentrated on her real account, probably, she was assesed fair and awaiting due further consideration. |

mosgoon: people that wrote that first week the application was out? before july 14th? hmmn, still doesn't justify a pattern since you said both first and second week. Had it been only first week, perhaps we can deduce they are reviewing chronologically.
Hopefully we hear something definitive regarding ODVI by tomorrow You make me laugh when I see this 14th of a thing date. This is just happening in your head alone bro. Forget that your pattern. It's just them that understand their thing. |

TOSINIFE: Nairaland. Read through 2017 thread and currently following the 2019 thread. Most people didn't believe the few guys that said they got the ODVI after their test on the current thread. I noticed that it was the same trend in 2017. Nobody knew how the recruitment process progressed and ended after the test BECAUSE only very FEW got ODVI after the test and people didn't believe their claims so they stopped talking.
Awaiting mail guys: Wait if you will. Move on if you will. Don't hope (even if you must, hope small) on this Shell recruitment. First come indeed has been first served.
Future applicants should apply and take the test as early as possible.
Gracias! On the flip side, u didn't figured out properly that in 2017,both the online assessment test and the ODVI were sent out at the same time. I believe people there might ve bn in doubt about few people who claimed to be successful about the outcome of both rather. Meanwhile, I mean to say that the case of 2017 and current 2019 are two different things so far. And of course, the best thing to do as u ve rightly mentioned is not to invest all hope in shell. |

First of, The stage 1 is not handled by Nigerians and even peez working in shell don't have any idea about it.
So, guys stop all these speculations and guessing.
Calm down and wait for your call...
If I ask some of you here one interview question y'all gonna flop ... WHY SHELL? THE question u asked is kind of generic in its nature, because that's one of the first questions majority of companies ask. I am not implying that it's easy to go about with. But any person who is familiar with interviews must have done this assignment before hand by tailoring the answers of the corresponding role he/she applied for to the nitty-gritties of same company. |

Firstgentleman1: So, apparently I shared my interview experience and some people thought it would be nice of them to be an advocate of "due process" by being on the offensive. I'd be addressing you guys in a structured, numerical pattern below.
1. From the beginning of this whole exercise, I decided in my mind that I was going to give detailed account of every phase I was going to witness. This is not for any other person, but for the purpose of people that would be undergoing this same process in the future.
2. I didn't say anything after the test when I saw the way a lot of people were going about saying the test was too simple and others attacking them. I knew there and then that a lot of people has no respect for opinions here. There was even a time I shared some insight when we were waiting for interview invite, I got attacked too. People like showing by all means the superiority of their opinions. As a matter of fact, it was part of the situational judgement questions asked yesterday.
3. After getting the interview invite, I decided I would try my best to access people's experiences from the internet, most notably from the last nnpc thread of 2012. But one thing I noticed was that there was no detailed experience written down by any one of them.
4. It was at that point, I promised I was going to give a detailed account of my own experience. As a matter of fact, when I saw people from the first day shying away from even talking about the procedures, I knew I just had to share it all. I remembered someone asking about transport stipend. No one answered until after the 2nd day or so, that someone generous enough decided to give answer to the question.
Now, to the bone of contention.
1. It was mentioned that I gave people heads up, and I read through my experience and did not see where I gave a very explicit "heads up".
2. If telling someone to make sure not to forget any of their original credentials is a kind of heads up, then I am proud of such heads up. I knew the kind of tension some people were placed in just because of this issue. I don't want anyone to ever experience that. Even if the person is a competitor. To hell with competition. What will be will be.
2. I talked about something peculiar to my panel and of course something generic across all panels. In all of this, I didn't mention the questions asked me. I only said I was asked 2 situational questions and a discipline related question. Heck, I did not even make a mention of my discipline. As of the time I shared my experience, I am sure no other person was awaiting interview. Therefore, the generic safety question I shared was no longer relevant because a different one would be asked the next day(today). I mentioned that explicitly in my post.
3. If you think, by sharing my experience, I engaged in malpractice or an amoral act, then I hereby tender my apology. If you feel it has reduced your chance of making it, then I am even more sorry.
4. However, given same opportunity again, I would gladly share my full experience. I am sorry in advance.
I still wish all of us success, NNPC or not! These are the kinds of minds I wish should eventually get the job through grace of God. Please do it more. Don't mind them, they thought it's an 'A' grade issue that would find them work. I pitty them. |

Akby: Hi guys, I'm a bit confused now. I used WAEC two sittings to gain admission into a Polytechnic where I finished best graduating student with distinction hons, and also a 2:1 at an engineering course from one of the top 3 universities in Nigeria. Knowing this, I wrote a GCE in 100L clearing all my 9 papers (6 distinctions, 3 credits).
Now, I went to WAEC office to collect my certificate last week but I was told it won't be ready until mid July. Can I still use the online printout with 9 papers complete or use the old two sittings. I was even thinking of attaching a new scratch for my result validation on spot.
Thanks guys Some people lack humility at all. See how a graduate is taking for God sake. Must u tell us Ur high good grades bfre asking a very simple question of this kind? Haba Nigerians. |
