Illiterate in power. I don't know why north always abuse everything. Common SUG of a state University not even a federal uni. Ask the northern mofo to speak English now u will hardly hear nd understand him. If u check well now he may not be able to write simply English sentence. He may even be studying 'Hausa or Islamic studies' How is he an illiterate for God sake? An illiterate is a person who cannot read and write. Even if it's only Hausa or Arabic he can read and write in, he's not an illiterate. Not all northerners are bad in speaking English language. Most of you who make such lame claims have never stepped a toe in the north, then make stupid stereotypes about the north and the northerners. And what if he's studying Hausa or Islamic Studies? In fact, ask Professor Ishaq Oloyede how he became the JAMB Registrar with a degree in Islamic Studies. |

TerryMcGinis: Good morning Nlders, I will go straight to the point, I am a 26+ year old seeking admission into higher institution, currently preparing for the next utme, bearing in mind that I am going to be responsible for my tuition et all...I seek your candid opinion on which federal schools are cheapest and has enabling environment that can make life easier for a student who will be sending himself to school as I intend to go into some sort of biz venture or job to help myself. Please your advice would be appreciated, thanks. Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, is very cheap and affordable. I was admitted during the 2018/2019 session to study Civil Law. We paid N29,500 in 100L. In 200L, we'll be paying N19,900. The above mentioned fees cover your school fee, registration fee, faculty fee, library fee, acceptance fee, etc. If you wish to live in the hostel, the price is N7,090 only. There are many other departments in Samaru that pay lesser. |

Beverlyjean: A friend of mine is in desperate need of advice... She had unprotected sex with a married man... Her fear now is that she feels it might affect her in the future because she knew he was married before she did it... She regrets her actions... She said she never planned it , although the man had always been disturbing her, but she felt she could control the situation when she visited him, but one thing led to another after a couple of drinks and they ended up having unprotected sex,,, the man in question is old enough to be her father according to her but she still doesn't know why she did what she did because at that time she was having relationship issues,,, she has ended all ties with the man but her fear is that if what she did will affect her in the future because she doesn't want her future husband to ever cheat on her,,, she is so broken now and confused... Again she doesn't know how her next boyfriend will think she's that type of person that sleeps with married men if he finds out what she did, because her boyfriend ended the relationship when she told him, although it happened before they met,,, she doesn't want her next boyfriend to treat her with disrespect if he finds out or make her loose her value
Lalasticlala, please help take these two this to front page Are you trying to say it is "spiritually okay" to have sex with someone you are not married to, even unknowingly |

meobizy: It’s a normal thing. You have two options: 1. Stretch or 2. Continue with the pain. If you’re under 26 you can continue with the pain and your body will get accustomed to the discomfort after three days. If older search online for full body stretches.
Edit: Then again this is Nairaland. This advice will fly over your head and you’ll choose to stop completely. I'm in my early twenties. So you mean I should continue? |

EOEI: Dont mind the guy, ever since I'd been tracking admissions in the eastern universities its hard to find yoruba names on their lists. They are too biased. Meanwhile, you'll get confused when you get into Kongo or Samaru Campus of ABU after hearing many Yoruba folks speak their language. You'll start thinking OAU has located to Zaria. Apart from that, ABU is the most diverse university in Nigeria. In my class currently, we're 257 and we have members from the 36 states and the FCT, including a Ghanian. I bet my balls that there is no single department in UNN or UNIZIK that can beat this. |
Education › Re: FG Abolishes Admission Policy On Catchment Area For Varsities by iceboy4752(m): 8:41am On Nov 25, 2019 |
celeiyke: U have never been to those universities, so don't say what u don't know. Claiming that one person per state doesn't that look absurd to u and u know it is all lies. I am conversant with Abu skewed policies. Can u shed light on why Prof Andrew Nok was denied being a VC. Can u shed light on why at some time a show by Tuface was cancelled in the same institution. ABU remains a nepotistic institution. Provide any Muslim Vice-Chancellor in UNIPORT or UNIZIK first. If you are not conversant with a school's admission process, find that out first before you'll come and start ranting like a baby who needs its mother's milk. ABU gives admission to one candidate from non-catchment areas, and two in non-competitive departments. How many do the over-hyped universities in question admit? I have a PDF copy of UNN's admission list. The Yoruba people I saw were not up to 13 despite the fact that most of them tend to score very high. As for the north, in fact, I couldn't find one single northerner. ABU Nepotistic my foot! |

Education › Re: FG Abolishes Admission Policy On Catchment Area For Varsities by iceboy4752(m): 10:25am On Nov 24, 2019 |
celeiyke: U must be funny. ABU is the most useless university. Admission is done on religious basis. The same university that deny Prof Andrew Nok becoming a VC cos he is a Christian. Same university I scored 282 to study Economics and I was clearly told to go back to my state I hope you know ABU admits only one candidate with the overall highest average from non-catchment areas? You were denied an admission with 282 because there were people more qualified than you from your state. That was how some aspirants were tagging ABU a tribalistic and anti-christian university because they failed to secure Law ith their 240, 250 and 260. When we resumed, we the candidate admitted from Ebonyi state, Omoha Joseph had an average of 315, making him the overall highest applicant of that course from that state. I don't know how ABU earned the title of the most diverse university in Nigeria if it truly base admissions on religious affiliation. How many Muslims have been appointed as VCs in UNIZIK, UNIPORT and the others since inception? |

mrvitalis: Finally ......UNN has been the only school I knew off that it was easier for a Yoruba man , northerner or south south to get admission than an Igbo man
Had a friend from Edo who entered economics with 218 average ....why someone from IMO n anambra can't even get with 260
My Gombe neighbor got pharmacy with 235 while I know people from Igbo who got 270 n didn't get
If you are from bayelsa 260 can get u medicine but if you are from Igbo ...305 might not get you in
Felt it was messed up ...because unilag ,UI and OAU won't give Igbo's that treatment ,same with ABU or uni port
UNN model is the model all schools should follow
45% national merit ,40% state merits , 10%( staff kids, host community ,special case ) 5% ( well man know man ABU respects merit more than UNN. JAMB even confirmed that. |
