To you my best friend, you laid your life for me to be save, you never turned you back at me, even befor I call for help you answer..... You are with me in the night when I cry to thee, in the morning to renew my strenght, you never fail. When everyone rejected me you were there... I love you my Lord. You are the king of kings, Lord of lords, the lion from judea, you are immanuel ... God with me... Jesus!!!!! I say thank you..
Nairaland GeneralRe: "Member Following" Replaces "Friending" On Nairaland by icon2: 9:36pm On May 31, 2012
Seun: I recently announced our "member following" feature, which lets you instantly follow any Nairaland member you fancy without waiting for her approval. I'm pleased to inform you that the "member following" feature has now replaced the former "friendship" feature. You can't add people as "friends" anymore, but you can follow them with or without their permission. When the people you're following post new topics on Nairaland, those topics will instantly be added to your list of "followed topics".

Before this update, you could only send e-mails to moderators and your friends. Now, you can freely send e-mails to moderators and people following you. We also have a new protocol for anonymous e-mail sending, which you'll soon notice. What do you think?
Watch out for more.. NL is growing and advancing... Good job Seun!

dare2think: I wonder if Linda Ikeji is married?

She has the wrong perception of marriage and fits very well into the caucus of hungry Nigerian girls that seek vanity rather than wisdom or contentment.

The only 'cheap' person is Linda, because her mentality is really sad.
Respect! Well spoken.
PoliticsRe: Anambra Spends N4bn On Orient Refinery To Be Commissioned In 2 Months by icon2: 3:44pm On May 23, 2012
chino11: Anambra spends N4bn on refinery

Jonathan To Commission Orient Refinery In Anambra Within The Next Two Months

Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, yesterday said his administration has spent N4billion on the state-owned Orient Refinery.

He also announced that the contract for the construction of the road leading to the refinery, located in Otuocha, Anambra East Local Government Area, has been awarded at N500million.

The road, according to him, will be completed within the next four months while President Goodluck Jonathan would be in Anambra State within the next two months to commission the refinery.

Obi spoke during the flag-off of the last lap of Immunisation Campaign Exercise and total eradication of polio in the state at the Regina Caeli Hospital in Awka.

While donating an ambulance to the hospital, the governor promised that all mission hospitals performing well in the state will get an ambulance each to function better.

He also said all accredited eight nursing schools, where hostels are being built, have received N60 million each.

According to him; "What we are doing is to change the face of Anambra State and we are not giving up.

‘’Our commitment is to work but traditional rulers and other stakeholders should help us in advising contractors to be serious and to work to specification."

The Commissioner for Health, Prof Amobi Illika, said Anambra State had been polio free in the last six years and will remain so.

Seun: Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for expressing your support and sharing ideas about how to make things better. I understand your frustration with Nairaland's measured pace of evolution and the pragmatic but unconventional direction we've often chosen to take on certain issues. I'm working hard to overcome extreme limitations, but I'm also learning as much as I can so we can make a lot of progress once those limitations are lifted. thanks so much for caring.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Didier Drogba Confirms Chelsea Exit' by icon2: 9:32am On May 22, 2012
otumfour: Didier Drogba has confirmed he plans to quit Chelsea following his Champions League final heroics, according France Football magazine.

The striker has been quoted saying he informed his team-mates of his decision during the club's open-top bus parade on Monday after leading them to the greatest moment in their history on Saturday night.
"We will no longer be together next season," the 34-year-old said in quotes attributed to France Football magazine.
Drogba, who has reportedly already agreed a deal to join Shanghai Shenhua when his Chelsea contract expires this summer, is said to have admitted he struggled to get the words out and burst into tears.
He went on to say: "As I decided to leave, I wanted to tell them straight in the eye. Except that I could not do it. They made me crack.
"Even though it's been three years since I said I wanted to leave, I find it hard to admit that it's over with this club - especially as I did not feel like this.
"But I could not see myself sitting on the bench to watch others play when the club plans to set up a new team.
"So that's it - I am preparing for my leap into the unknown. It's going to be another adventure."

Bontee: ^^^

This is not the first time that the issue has been raised and as people said, he is just stingy or doesn't know how to go about it. This was someone i had to rebuke for promoting google question and answers here on nairaland, i think he was the one that even created the thread. Even if he did not i think he should have closed that and his excuse was that he doesn't have the resources to compete with google and both sites were moving in different direction which is not entirely true to me.

I believe most people criticizing him are not after the revenue but genuinely wants to see a nigerian site corner the Nigerian internet market. Even facebook is not the dominant social sites in many countries in asia and europe so there is no way that facebook should serve nigerian better than nairaland.

Thank you my brother, the first difficult task is to get the membership or followership and after that, you think about diversifying and stabilizing the revenue.
Well said.
