tbaba1234: Nope, Sadiq Umar was the rave when he went to the eredivise. He made a strong impression in Holland. He helped create goals for his team as well.
The league is supposed to be the bedrock of the national team. Who are the promising players coming up for Nigeria? How many played in the league?
Iheanacho: Never played in the league Awaziem: Never played in the league Uzoho: Never played in the league Simon Moses: Never played in the league Ndidi: Never played in the league Etebo: Played in the league Onyekuru: Never Played in the league Isaac Success: Never played in the league Shehu: Played in the league Samuel Kalu: Never played in the league Olayinka: Never played in the league
What exactly is the value of the league if it is not producing enough options for the senior national team? In addition, looking at the entire current Super Eagles as a whole: Kenneth Omeruo never played in the NPFL Ogenyi Onazi never played in the NPFL Victor Moses never played in the NPFL Mikel Obi never played in the NPFL John Ogu never played in the NPFL Mikel Agu never played in the NPFL Not to even mention all the foreign borns It is such a pity how the NPFL has deteriorated to such an all time low. |

charlesemeka85: Former Nigeria U17 and 20 midfielder Kingsley Michael will later today travel with the rest of the first team players at Italian Serie A side Bologna for a training tour of Austria, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Michael has been a revelation with the first team of the Serie A side in pre season with his commanding display in the games they have played so far ahead of the start of the new season in Italy.
Already he has been handed a first team squad number, the jersey number 14 which is an upgrade on the youth team number he used upon his transfer to the club last year.
He will be hoping to get some game time when they take on Nuremburg and Huddersfield in their final two pre season games at their training camp in Austria. They are expected to arrive Austria later today.
His rise to the first team has been termed as phenomenal considering he only joined the team a year ago as an 18 year old from Nigeria with no experience of professional football although he did play a starring role for Nigeria at the 2015 U17 World Youth Championship, which they won.
DONT MISS ==> Nigeria 2-3 Atletico Madrid : Nwakali Scores Screamer, Usman Mohammed Scores Okocha-Like Goal A step up to the U20s didn’t produce same result like at U17 level as he was a part of the coach Emmanuel Amuneke led side that failed to progress to the last edition of the African Youth Championship. I would rather use Finidi in a larger capacity, of course with the right enabling environment (structures put in place) Spot on |

tbaba1234: The reason, many of our players fail trials is poor fundamentals at the developmental stage.
Many of these foreign born players are not more talented, they just have better foundation. That is what matters at professional level. Many of our players have to start learning again when they go abroad.
The reason why France can use a bunch of African descent players to win the WC is because they provide them with good foundation.
We need to improve youth structure and especially coaching for kids from a very young age. The under 15 coaches should be given top quality training to measure up with their counterparts abroad. And also we must have a standing U15 team that we will engage in competitions annually. We gradually graduate them into the U17. With this we will sustain the development of New talents. |

Immediately this happen my supervisor called me and advice me to start searching for another job. As it is now the management of my organisation have gang up to frustrate me, but before then I will Bleep them up There are several criteria being considered before staff are promoted. tbaba1234: We need more young boys like him in the team. Jerome Akor is another young boy in the team.
I am optimistic that once the foreign based are included, we will have a more realistic under 20 side. Gradually and gradually. So you see the team is not made of all "old men" after all. We also expect the infussion of Samuel Chukwueze, Orji Okonkwo and Kingsley Michael. The foreign pros may not likely be available for the AYC. But I hope the team makes it to the WC. Thank God the U20 is always held at the end of season. So then we expect a full house. |

Joebie: The problem is we have not watched these lads play to really make judgements. There are rumors of underhanded deals. Should ther be truth to it, chances are Omidiji -- and not limited to Omidiji -- is not getting the nod to start in order to make other players look more valuable. I don't think forumites here have ever said FBs should be favored. The clamor has been for deserving FBs to be given a chamce to compete. That is it. Nobody here has seen the team play. And so we must not just jump into a hasty conclusion. Being foreign born May not necessarily make him the best player on the pitch. Allegations or not, I like listening to both sides of a story before making conclusions. |

Maol: The nation’s foreign exchange reserves have dropped to a three-month low of $47.303bn, data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed on Wednesday.
The reserves, which stood at $47.697bn on July 11, dropped by $394m in 13 days.
Data from the CBN revealed that the reserves rose from $47.333bn in April 24 to $47.846bn on May 11.
It was reported on July 13 that the reserves, which rose from $47.605bn on May 31 to $47.789bn on June 29, dropped by $102m to $47.697bn on July 11.
The Managing Director, Blackbit Limited, Wale Ajibade, in a telephone interview with our correspondent, stated that the drastic decline in the reserves could be attributed to government action in supporting the exchange rate.
He said, “This is what is putting pressure on the external reserves. I believe that a free market should be allowed, but it is a complex situation because the exchange rate can go up and lead to heightened inflation. But in the long run, the exchange rate would likely see a further demolition in value because of the support.”

Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Ogenyi Onazi, Olanrewaju Kayode, Kingsley Madu, Ramon Azeez, Abdulahi Shehu, Usman Mohammed, Simon Moses, Emem Uduok, Uche Nwofor, Aminu Umar among others. 6 of the listed are core members of the current Super Eagles! With Kayode not included. 5 of them also featured at the 2014 WC. Some of these coaches have done well for us. We don't need to throw trash at them because of this incidence. My take is the NFF disciplinery committee should investigate the matter and deal decisively with Salisu if found guilty of what is being accused of. We appoint a new coach and move on. |

Danielnino00: Fellow Eaglelians.. following our exploit at the world cup it was clear that the left back role is one of d weakest link in the team due to the lack of left footed left backs in the team (bar Echijele). Now that a lot of us are rooting for Rohr to make the team stronger ahead of the AFCON qualifier, it won't be wise to continue using non left footers like Aina,Ebuehi and Idowu in the role.. Pa Echijele is a no go too...
Any suggestion as to who should take the role ?? in fact any suggestion on how our full back setting should be??
CC: Tbaba1234 icon4s kog45 forgiveness chriskel komekn and other honorable members of the thread 1) Firstly, I think it is time to move on without Echiejile. 2) For now, we resume in that position with Idowu and Aina. Idowu in particular was tested by the best of oppositions. I would not say he did excellently well but I would say he was not bad. Seychelles, Libya and SA cannot attack us the way Croatia, Iceland and Argentina did. I know Idowu and Aina have what it takes to hold their own and integrate more with the team. 3) In the modern game players' versatility is key. If you do not have natural left footed players that are up to the mark you have to convert other players with such abilities to play such position. You cannot compromise standards all in the name of looking for a natural left footed player. 4) Going forward, any outstanding left footed player(s) that is/are identified can gradually be introduced into the team. We should not be in a haste to throw out those we have in the position at present. Any incoming Natural Left back should prove to be better (in terms of delivery) than those make-shift Left Backs we have at the moment. 5) Yes the World Cup is over but I still re-iterate that team building is a gradual process. I see people throwing names and different names. Yes that is ok. It means we have so many availanble options but their introduction would be such that it does not terminate the progress of the team and or throw the team off balance. The team can only get better. |

Properties › Re: You Should Be Living In Your Own House If Your Current Rent Is Above 500k! by Icon4s(m): 12:04pm On Jul 23, 2018 |
zillonnair: Friends,
If you are currently paying above 500k as rent, you ought to be living in your own house!
Knowledge is said to be power; but wisdom is the force that makes you apply knowledge! While some may know how to go about accessing some of the schemes that can give them a house over their head but are just too reluctant to try, some others simply do not have this information.
This topic is about to share with you, simple steps and facts on how to get a house of your own with very tight budget.
Remember, as long as you are a Nigerian, until you have a house of your own; housing costs will continue bother you for the rest of your life! This is a fact!
So if you are about getting a new house, say a flat or bigger apartment that cost about 500k or more, then you need to think twice and weigh your options critically before venturing.
GETTING A LAND
Perhaps, the trickiest part to owing your own home is accessing or getting a land of your own. "omo-onile" issues, estate agents selling lands that they dont have documentations for or expensive lands that you cannot simply afford are some of the issues with getting landed property in Lagos and Nigeria in general. However, for every venture, there are tricks and facts, face the facts and learn the tricks and you will find out it is actually easier than you thought.
First issue is finance. To address or access finance for buying a land is simple. Most organisations where you work can afford you loans, even if they dont, there are cooperative that can, and if there are none, there are lenders such as RenMoney and co. It is wise to loan money to buy an asset rather than loan money to buy liabilities such as pay rent or buy a car. Land will always appreciate in value and regardless of how much interests you have to pay on the loan acquired, it wont compare to the value of the land in 5years.
Second question, is it right to buy from omo-onile i.e. family lands or from agents (estate agents)? Let's just say that there are certain documents (title) a land must have e.g. (Certificate of Occupancy, Governors Consent, Excision, Deeds of Assignment), make your personal findings on any land you wish to purchase thoroughly. The best option is to take a surveyor to the proposed land to take the co-ordinates of the land, check with land survey in Alausa to be sure the properties corresponds with the paper given to you. Choice of which to go with is dependent on the type of tile given.
Also, always note that "initial law" protects the occupier. What do i mean by that? When there is a land dispute and the matter is reported to the police, the police are obligated to protect the first occupier. To reclaim or re-posses the land however, the complainant will then need a competent court of law to make a pronouncement. Which means, you can pursue a land case from high court up to Supreme court before you can re-posses a lost land.
So, to be in the advantage always, when you purchase a land, do not hesitate to erect something on it. The general concept is OCCUPY! People stay in rented apartments for various reasons. Let me throw you these simple questions and give your advice. 1. You were working in Lagos and maybe you have built your house and your family lives there. You get posted to Abuja where you have to pay rent for accommodation worth way over that 500K you talk about. You may also be reposted back to Lagos or elsewhere any time. What is your advice. 2. You have built a house in a remote part of Lagos and you get this New job at the center of Lagos. You stand a risk of getting to work late, arriving with sleepy eyes (having to leave home at 4am), spending a lot on transportation or fuelling your car to and from work everyday. Add to this the traffic stress. Now is it adviceable to go through all these wahala or paying 500K per annum at a location close to your work especially if pay attached to the job makes you easily afford it? My brother it is not every one that would want to build where they are working. 500k rent paid over 20years is N10M. if you factor in average annual increase you can't pay more than 12-13million in your entire working career of say 20years in that City. To build a befitting house in a good location (cost of land inclusive) may cost you 20-50 million. Good for you if you chose to retire there. But for those that have other plans on where to retire, bad move. Eg can you as a Yoruba man work, live, build and retire in Enugu? Look at things wholistically bro. |
