Luckyroro: Hmm. Omeruo is not too solid but not to be compared with a rookie who hasn't proved his mettle when the chips are down. For the records, Omeruo was outstanding in our 2013 Afcon conquest Haha, they will tell you 2013 was 5years ago. And they don't want to hear that word rookie.Hahaha. I like your analysis man. You have been spot on thus far. |

Luckyroro: I have been following this thread for a very long time now and I must confess that this is the most interesting and informative thread about the Super Eagles. From my viewing of the thread I've been able to identify a few Bosses who are good and I must start with paying homage to them before I officially join the thread. Tbaba1234 Icon4s Komekn and Thesupernerd I greet you all. I am now a member of this thread and I want you guys to accord me any privilege you accord the old members. For what's worth, I'm a product of very late 80's so my knowledge of Nigeria football dates back to 1999 U20 tourney. I am an ardent supporter of Super Eagles so we are all on same page. Welcome on board bro. And know that this is a forum of analysts of all generations. Nobody is too young and nobody is too old here. Some people here watched the 1978 WC qualifiers while I have seen someone that started following since Germany 2006. No idea is stupid as long as you can justify and defend it. So feel free to share your ideas and knowledge of the game. Emmm.....please meet the First Lady of the house: Safarigirl who will welcome you with a sumptuous dinner. Then after which you move upstairs where you have the elders council for induction and indoctrination. Once again, Welcome on board! |

Kog45: Omeruo prone to error is exaggerated. He had 37 caps and apart from South Africa and Zambia match where his errors were visible i don't see any one again or do you remember any Omeruo error match apart from SA and Zambia. The thing is they just like to see new players all the time. That was the argument they held against Omeruo with which to promote Awaziem. And the Awaziem has not impressed in the two SE games I have watched him play. I still say it that Omeruo is more reliable than Awaziem. Not to talk of Sunday Eze. |

Humility017: being that eze made the 30 man list means he is well rated by rohr and his crew Rated higher than Omeruo? Oga, Eze is the least rated player on that list of defenders. He should even celebrate being among 30 best Nigerian players at the moment. |

Humility017: if you don't give this young ones chance or rather an opportunity to play...you won't know how good they're. Oga, we are going to the FIFA WC, this is not a time to keep slots for the younger ones. The younger ones should wait for the next series of AFCON qualifiers to see if they can have a chance to break in, which should also be by merit. We have passed that experimental stage. It is time for business now. |

Sainty92: I agree with u. Please if Rohr is thinking of dropping Aina instead of Echiejle, our captain Mikel should intercede on Aina's behalf because he was d one who convinced Aina to opt out for Nigeria and also, captains always have a big say in the final list. Mikel cannot turn blind eye to Echiejile's mediocrity na. Its too glaring that he has passed his prime Oga, Rohr has the final say. He knows what is best for his team. We have trusted him all along and hailed his 30 man list. So let us also trust him on this one. No be do or die abeg. |

TheSuperNerd: DR Congo Name Afobe, Bolasie, Kakuta In Squad To Face Nigeria As Pinnick Confirms Friendly
https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/60089Leon.jpg
Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick has confirmed that the Super Eagles friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo on May 28 in Port Harcourt is still on despite suggestions that it will be cancelled due to a fresh outbreak of Ebola in the Central African country.
The Ebola outbreak started more than five weeks ago and has claimed 18 lives, including one health care worker.
Pinnick has stated that there are measures that will be taken by the Nigerian Federation in partnership with the Health Ministry when the Congolese delegation arrives in Nigeria.
''It is in a very remote village in Congo, besides 98 percent of their players are foreign-based players, they are flying in,'' Pinnick told Channels Television .
''They will fly into Port Harcourt at 6pm on the 25th of this month, three days to the march. The airplane will wait for them and take them back.
''Officially just to be cautious, we have written to the Ministry of Health to give us cover, before they leave and arrive they will test them just to take extra precaution.''
Meanwhile, the Fédération Congolaise de Football-Association (FECOFA) has announced a 32-man provisional roster for the trip to Port Harcourt and ex-Arsenal schoolboy Benik Afobe, ex-Chelsea winger Gaël Kakuta, Everton's Yannick Bolasie and Newcastle United star Chancel Mbemba are among the eye-catching names in the group. The Leopards squad contains three goalkeepers, ten defenders, seven midfielders and twelve strikers.

SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF RUSSIA
A Visitor's Guide to Impressing Russian Women (To whom it may concern) If you are not Russian and interested in dating a Russian girl, you may need a bit of an instruction manual. While the basic rules of dating etiquette obviously apply, there are a few quirks that Russian girls have that sometimes create conflict between girls from Russia and men from the West. Of course, there are also several things that Russian women dislike about Russian men—which gives you the opportunity to play up your differences—but there are also some traits of Russian men that Russian girls actually do like, even if they may never admit it. Knowing these preferences, you can pave yourself a much smoother path to attracting Russian girls during your visit to Russia. Dress Nicely
Russian men tend to dress very simply, and once they’re in a relationship they can often forgo dressing well entirely and settle down into comfortable-meets-shabby gear. To impress her, do the opposite and dress sharply—not over-the-top, but look put together. Wear basics that are made of high-quality material, are relatively fashionable (e.g. no boot-cut light-wash denim and sneakers) and you’ll definitely be in her good books. Be AssertiveRussian men can be almost aggressively assertive, and while you want to stay away from that end of the spectrum, you definitely don’t want to come off as indecisive or letting her make all the decisions. Keep it at a good balance, but especially at the beginning of a relationship, you want to make sure that you take control when necessary. Decide where you’re going for dinner and then invite her there. Decide what you will be doing that day and then ask her to do it. Don’t call her up and say ‘what do you want to do?’. It’s not that Russian women don’t like to make decisions—in fact, in a lot of Russian relationships, women have the upper hand; it’s just that showing assertiveness shows that you’ll be able to match her decisiveness rather than leaving her to do all the work. Be a GentlemanRussian men are well-trained in chivalry, and no matter how modern your Russian girl is, you want to make sure you take care of her in the same way. This means picking up the bill at the restaurant without discussion, opening doors, giving up your seat on the metro, and always carrying everything except her purse (within reason of course). Be NiceThis is an area where you can really shine against Russian men. Not to generalize too much, but many Russian men can be quite rough, and you can stand out by being considerate, compassionate, and generally making sure she’s comfortable, happy, and listened-to. Stay away from the stereotypical “nice-guy” territory—you don’t want to seem like a wimp—but listen to her and her wishes in a gallant way. Navigate Gender Roles CarefullyMany Russian men are still stuck in a very traditional conception of gender roles, and it is a common assumption of Russian women that Western men are more accepting of women’s changing role in society. This means that you should be accepting of whichever way she decides to live her life—whether she wants to be a career woman, a homemaker, or a mix of both; never be dismissive of any of these lifestyle choices. On a smaller scale, you can also demonstrate this by being willing to cook and clean—not expecting her to always do it as many Russian men do. Buy Her Flowers
Finally, Russian men are famous for their affinity for giving flowers—in Russian society, flowers are bought for almost any festive occasion. Russian women will appreciate you bringing her bouquets on birthdays, celebrations, and once in a while, just because.

charlesemeka85: owngoal and their lies hahahahahahaha. got this from their site before the list was released
Ideye Returns, Sadiq Umar, Dayo Ojo, Musa Muhammed, Nwakali Make Super Eagles Provisional List
May 14, 2018030
Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal some of the players who have made the 35 man provisional list of the senior national team of Nigeria for the World Cup 2018 in Russia.
There is a return for Brown Ideye who is currently on loan from Chinese side Tianjin Teda to recently relegated Spanish LaLiga side Malaga. Ideye has been out of the squad for almost seven months but he now has the chance to make the final list for the World Cup.
Another player making a return to the squad after a close to two years absence from the team is on loan Istanbul Basaksehir full back Musa Mohammed who is presently turning out for Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Sadiq Umar as first reported by this portal on our official twitter handle made the list, mainly due to his performance for NAC Breda where he spent the second half of the season on loan from Italian Serie A side Roma.
DONT MISS ==> Mercurial Iwobi Gets New Nickname At Arsenal After Scoring Twice Against Viking Umar who terminated his loan deal with Torino for the move to NAC Breda isn’t the only player included in the list who is yet to be capped as Sunshine Stars midfielder Dayo Ojo was also included by coach Gernot Rohr.
Also on loan Manchester City midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali who has been on loan at Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen also made the provisional list, where he is joined by another Man City loanee in Olarewaju Kayode.
Kayode was included largely due to his strong showing for Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, where he moved to after an unhappy time in Spain with Girona in the first half of the season. Last week he lifted the Ukraine Cup with his team.
Osas Mahawi Na only during time of Keshi and Oliseh we dey see this kine list. Kudos to Rohr jare. No favoritism. |

charlesemeka85: instead of aina i will prefer any of idowu and elderson to be dropped. i'm dont yet convinced by idowu. he seem shaky and not good with the ball when on possession. elderson is expired and washed.its time for him to hang his boots. my preference for aina is because he is versatile and more assured with the ball when on possession. it will an uphill task for simy to make it to the final 23.the competition between him and the duo of iheanacho and ighalo will be a fierce one which i doubt him having the ability to dislodge any of them. remember musa also can be deployed as a striker I perfectly agree with this statement. Simi has an outside chance but one major advantage he has is aside Ighalo he is the only other natural CF on the list. On Aina, Idowu and Echiejile. Idowu is ahead. The other slot would be between Aina and Echiejile. |

tbaba1234: 30 man list..
No playing around.. All expected
Simy Nwankwo, Lokosa make the list. What were we going to do with a 35man list in the first place. 7 players to drop: 1. One of Akpeyi/ Ajiboye(more likely) 2. Stephen Eze 3. One of Echiejile/Aina(more likely) 4. Uche Agbo 5. Mikel Agu 6. Junior Lokosa. 7. **** This slot would have been kept for Simi Nwankwo. But I would rather want him to make the list because Ighalo is the only natural CF on that list. But that remains if he comes out good from the camping and warm up games. But if Simi remains, which other forwards would be dropped? The other forwards look untouchable. I would rather go back to the defense to drop one more. |
