nonyeesther: I am a geophysicist, just graduated from futo and still serving, no experience apart from industrial training in paleontology/biostratigraphy. I will be glad if you all share your experience with me. I started in the Industry as a Micropaleontologist in a servicing Firm. This is a field most Geoscientist dread. I got the job mostly due to my B.Sc Project research which I did in micropaleontology. Package that which you know about palaeontology very well cos it might sell you one day. |

almasterpiece: I am a Geologist with almost two years working experience in the oil and gas industry. I work with a servicing firm; I created this thread so that fellow interpreters and modelers can share ideas in moving our jobs forward. Help upcoming Geologist and share update on latest industrial software. Also if there is any vacancy in your firm or my firm we can easily contact each other. I just realized Geologist are very few compared to the Engineers hence the need for this thread So what is your area of specialty? |

almasterpiece: Bros i greet your 9 years experience, interpreting seismic can you know an MFS from seismic volume? Yes, you can ascertain a Maximum Flooding Surface (MFS) on seismic but it requires experience especially in Seismic facies analysis, quality of data and a good knowledge of the field in question. In Geosciences we try as much as possible to gather enough available data for our interpretations. Most Geoscientists would ask for Well Data and Biostratigraphic information in addition to Seismic for them to point out any MFS (Which still requires plenty of experience). However the easiest data set to obtain an MFS from is Biostratigraphic chart. Seismic Facies analysis/Sequence Stratigraphy is a field I love so much |

rhymaster: Nigeria returned to democratic governance in 1999 and since then, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has been in power at the center. Nigeria has had its ups and downs since that time but what is the experience of Nigerian citizens? The Web Pollster is starting another opinion poll to gauge the mood of #nigerians regarding how they’ve fared in the past 6 years?
Are you better off now than you were 6 years ago before President #jonathan was sworn in as president after the death of President Umaru Yaradua? If the economy of a country is getting better, the people feel it before they see official published statistics. Are Nigerians living a higher quality of life now than before because they have access to better, good paying jobs, better healthcare, better education and infrastructure, power or electricity that has removed the need to invest in diesel generators? What is your perception of corruption in the country? Do you feel opportunity is being expanded for all or most of the opportunities in the land is limited to a privilege few who are in government?
Follow links in my signature, NL is blocking any information that does not or may not favour the current government.....?? Stop posting this your trash on all the threads man! |

blessedkay: Dear ALL, I wish to say thank you for the information on the EH cadre so far. To be honest, I've carefully thought on what could have happened again, why only few candidates received SMS for the interview's notice. First, my prayer is that whether SMS or no SMS, we shall all be notified for appropriate date of interview on this recruitment in Jesus name, Amen! But, let me share my last experience on NNPC-recruitment in 2010/2011 if l'm not missing the year of the last recruitment, l got a test-IV wc I did in university of ibadan, after the test I rushed back to Lagos to see one of my Church members (an elderly man) who had strong link in NNPC (but unfortunately he is no more in Nigeria). In my presence, the man called Abuja (NNPC H/Q)-the Head Human Resources picked the call, the phone was on speaker (I could clearly hear the conversation), but I was shocked to my bone marrow when the HR-Manager said the final shortlisted List for the recruitment had been compiled Four days b4 the Test-date. Series of communication went on and on wc time will not permit me to narrate. Still, with all pleading my name could not be added. My fellow Nairalanders, the current NNPC-process requires prayer and fasting. And if possible, make use of any connection you av within your horizon. A lot of unimaginable things are on going..............Pls shine your eyes, but put your trust only in GOD. Cheers! Stories like these make me sick. See i am in the system. I am a product of the 2006/2007 recruitment. I can boastfully tell u that 90% of us that got recruited then as GTs didnt know even a Gate man in NNPC. Besides i know the Group HR Manager cannot say what u claimed he had said. My advice to u guys is that this NNPC recruitment is real. As EH candidate that are expecting ur interview invite, work well on ur case study and b prepared for so many questiona abt NNPC operations including how u can make an immediate impact if recruited. Above all, pray for favour. |

Nigeria's Under-23 national team will face Zambia in the next round of the All Africa Games qualification once they dispatch their Gabonese counterparts. The Zambians have progressed into the final round of the AAG qualification after their opponents, Madagascar, pulled out from the series. The Southern Africans are now waiting for Samson Siasia's men to finish off Gabon's under-23s, who lost the first meeting in Libreville 4-1 over the weekend. Nigeria's Olympic team will play hosts to Gabon in the second leg of the All Africa Games qualifiers at the National Stadium in Abuja on March 7. Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali and Zimbabwe have also already progressed to the final round after Swaziland, Tunisia, Guinea Bissau and Libya all withdrew from the qualification series. http://www.supersport.com/football/nigeria/news/150223/Zambia_lie_in_wait_for_U23s_in_AAG

joseph1013: Flying Eagles Stress About Injured Yahaya
https://level3.soccerladuma.net/cms2/image_manager/uploads/News/201674/7/default.jpg
The Flying Eagles are sweating on the fitness of star forward Musa Yahaya, who is nursing a knee injury he suffered in a warm-up match in Ghana.
The former Golden Eaglet is expected to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury he suffered when he was tackled in the Flying Eagles second friendly against Ghana on Wednesday.
The injury forced him out of the match in the 39th minute.
Tottenham starlet, Yahaya, who scored in the Flying Eagles first match against the Black Satellites, did not join the rest of the squad at the gym at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja Friday morning.
The other injury worry for the Nigeria U20 team is central defender Zaharadeen Bello.
Bello has been nursing a calf injury and as a result he did not feature in the second friendly against Ghana in Tema, which the Flying Eagles won 2-0.
“We will review their cases and see what can be done promptly,” disclosed Flying Eagles doctor Ozi Salami.
The 2015 African Youth Championship kicks off March 8 in Dakar with the Flying Eagles tackling hosts Senegal, who have been training at the Aspire Academy in Qatar for several months, in the opening game. I never liked that Ghana friendly. Ghanaians take any game against Nigeria as war. Always wanting to prove a point due to their inferiority complex against Nigeria. I wish Yahaya speedy recovery. We need him in the upcoming AYC. With the likes of Iheanacho, Success and Nwakali out we cant lose Yahaya too. |
