Oh I jst wish d govt can jst leave it at this and nt affect d 2012 and older. So dat it will simply mean dat if u want to buy a brand new car u'll have to buy a Nigerian assembled. I would rather buy a 5 million naira worth Tokunbo 2011 Venza than to buy a Nigerian assembled 2014 Hyundai SantaFe.

Why split a team that played together for years. If Manu Garba was made the U23 coach, he would use those boys to face any U23 team. While Coach Samson Siasia would not trust them and would go hunting for players in the 22 / 23 bracket.

That is why appointing Coach Siasia as the U23 Coach is very wrong.

We might have U23 boys that can play in the competition. However, it can never be the same as a team who have played together long before the U17 African championship they participated in.

Continuity is the key we need. Appointing Siasia stops that.
This is nt done any where: U23 team being made up only of 18 & 19 yrs old. Besides, I have told u abt d calender. This Manu boys cannot be preparing for AYC and WYC and b playing U23 qualifiers. We have players who are full professionals and are currently 20-21yrs olds. The U23s is for full professional players and nt feeder or youth team players. No matter for how long d Manu boys have been together experience will work against dem. Let dem play at d WYC and den we'll c dose among dem dat can b promoted to fight for a place at d U23 team.

Mark my words d Manu U20 will nt have d kind of dominance dey had while at U17 cos d U20 is 2 steps higher. Those European players would have even played at d European U19 first before playing U20. I won't b summarised if we lose to dat Swedish team dat we over-an in d semis.

Let dem play d Ghana U20 & we'll c whether dey can replicate d 7-1 bashing. I am nt even sure we are favourites to win d AYC nt to talk of d WYC.

These players might be established, But they have not played together regularly like the Manu Boys. I believe if a team is formed by the ones above and they play Manu Boys, the Manu boys would come out victorious.

If people could clamour for these boys to be called into the National team, how come they would not be suitable for an Under 23 side in two yearsp time?
The WC u mentioned earlier is nt an age grade competition. So any player irrespective of age can take part. U have here an U23 qualifiers and u want to field 18 & 19 yrs olds? Are we saying we don't have quality players of ages 21 to 23? Well for ur unfo U23 qualifiers starts early next yr and den Manu's boys would b preparing for d AYC and possibly d WYC at dat time so diaris no way d manu boys will form d nucleus of d U23 team.Mayb 2 or 3 of them dat come out exceptional at d WYC might b given a chance at d U23 camp, possibly Success, Iheanacho & or Yahaya or any other player.
Politics › Re: Pre Election Guess: Which States Are Buhari And Gej Likely To Win? by Icon4s(m):
SE states: GEJ 99.9%, Buhari 0.01%
SS states: For C/River, Bayelsa,Delta, A/Ibom GEJ 99%, Buhari 1%, for Edo and Rivers: GEJ 70%Buhari 30%.
SW states: Lagos:GEJ 60 Buhari 40%, Other SW state 50:50.
NW states: GEJ 40% Buhari 60%
NC State: GEJ 55% Buhari 45%
NE State: GEJ 50% Buhari 50%

The election results will swing in favour of who d Igbos vote massively for.
The SE has a 99% Igbo Population.
Rivers is dominated by Igbos so expect a GEJ dominance, d 30% who'll vote for Buhari would b those manipulated by Amaechi.30% Vote for Buhari in Edo state represents d Muslim population in d state.
GEJ Can get up to 60% in Lagos cos 40% of Lagosians are of SE/SE + 50% of Yorubas in Lagos are xtians who would nt fansy a muslim-muslim APC ticket.
50:50 for d rest of SW bc of d 10-20% Igbo population and near 50:50 Xtian:Muslim ratio.
The NC has a 50:50 Xtian:Muslim population + a near 20% of igbo population and this gives GEJ d edge.
Good luck can score cheap points in d NE with d war against BH so its 50:50 for both candidates here.
NW belongs to Buhari and his CPC but with d high igbo population living in dat region GEJ can wrestle out 30-40%.

Players Manu's boys could compete with for the U23 positions include:
Kenneth Omeruo
Abdul Ajagun
Michael Olaitan
Chuba Akpom
Chuks Aneke
Imoh Ezekiel
Olanrewaju Kayode
Christian Pyagbara
Abdulahi Shehu
Etc

All those players above I am sure u know are alreadt established and experienced pros.

To be truthful, I'm concerned. Is it not too early to appoint an U-23 team handler? I had been of the opinion that Manu would be appointed after the U-20 world cup.

But as it now, the post is no longer available.
Siasia is d right man for the U23 job. It is nt too early to appoint an U23 coach. For ur info 2015 all African games qualifiers and 2016 Olympics qualifiers are near. Ghana and Egypt have already arranged a 2legged friendly against each other. Manu will be busy with the U20 team till July next year.
Also mind u, the oldest of the Manu's boys should be 18. If u pack the 23 team with these boys who by next year would b 19 and less ur guess would b as good as mine. The nucleus of the next Olympic team would b formed by the John Obu boys who are currently 20-21yrs olds. Any exceptional player from among the current flying eagles could break in though.

The Igbos are inconsequential to this process.
that where u pple are getting it wrong. Do u know d population of Igbos scattered all over Nigeria?
In addition to d 5 SE eastern states, do u know dat Igbos are majority in Rivers and make up 40% of Delta state. Lagos with a population of abt 20Million has nearly 8 million Igbos. Igbos are scattered all over the SW and The entire Northern Region.

Buhari and APC will fail over and over if dey continue to ignore the strength of the Igbos in d Nigerian political setting.
Politics › Re: APC Warns Igbo Against Voting For Jonathan by Icon4s(m): 7:10pm On Oct 16, 2014
Take Buhari away from APC and Igbos will embrace d party.

Are u people blind? Dnt u c dat d North sees the presidency as their birth right? Dey even funded and nurtured Boko Haram jst to make Nigerians lose confidence in Good Luck. The Yorubas are unfortunately falling for the wicked tactics by d North.

Buhari is an enemy to d Igbos for very obvious reasons. And as I said, take away Buhari from APC and Igbos will embrace d Party.
