This is a very good analysis. He nailed Chelsea's game plan. And he also agreed with me that Messi has a good game despite the double and triple teams. Like I said, Barca had a tough game yesterday because Paulinho, Iniesta, and Suarez weren't having their best games.

kingphilip: the tactical analysis of the match between chelsea and barcelona yesterday in the video below
Thank you! Ernesto Velverde was totally outcoached last night. Even the changes he made were clueless at best. I mean, he made the correct changes but the players he decided to bring in were head scratchers! How can you bring in players like Vidal and Gomes when you have the likes of the $200m man, Ousmane Dembele sitting on the bench!
The man was totally out of his depth yesterday, for real.
O pari
somehow: If Barcelona was still blessed with a player like Neymar, yesterday's game would have been a done deal for Barcelona. imagine 3 players on just one guy. Messi had no one to do the scoring for him while he had 3 on him. Suarez is something else for now.
Dembele would have been a better option yesterday than Vidal!
Even Paco would have added more bite to the forward line if brought in at half time.
Which Messi has been kept quiet? Were you watching a different game
Chelsea assigned their two best defenders: Kante and Azpilicuta to police Messi, but Messi kept going thru them as if they weren't there. If you wanna talk about someone who had a quiet game then you can talk about Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta. Messi was massive, Chelsea just had two packed buses around their 18 yard box.
All in all, Antonio Conte totally outcoached and outclassed Ernesto Velderde. Conte taught him a lesson on counter attack football. As a Barca fan, I hope and pray that Real Madrid doesn't get Conte to replace Zidane because if they do, Madrid would begin to dominate Barca again.

I totally agree. Technically, he's the most intelligent midfielder we'd have in the team. He knows when to keep it simple and when to make a run. And his off the ball movement is topnotch! I rate him highly, but injuries are a big concern. he even took another knock today ... scared da shis out me when I saw him lying there. But he was fine in the day.
O pari
andrew444: That's true,he is injury prone and maybe not the coach choice,he will not start ahead of onazi, but on. Normal basis he is a better player than onazi.
Joel Chukwuma Obi is putting on another good shift for Torino against Juvenile today. Going by his performances over the past few weeks, I will expect him to make the Super Eagles World Cup team. But to be fair, I am not sure that he can start ahead of Ndidi or Onazi.
Truer words have never been spoken. Described Sunday Oliseh to a T!
Are you aware that Oliseh still wouldn't take responsibility for our failure to qualify for the last AFCON? He claimed that it was Samson Siasia's fault. As a player, Oliseh was top notch - one of the best. As a manager, he's toxic.
Don't mind them, bro. The same way they had expected Mikel to go toe to toe with Messi based solely on their U-21 exploits.

TheSuperNerd: I think it is because some of the Naija Journos expect Moses to be Salah since they were head to head for the BBC APOTY and both in the Top 5 for the CAF APOTY reduced to Three and which saw Salah deservedly take it. Well... they kinda forget Moses won't get a lot of goals from his wing back role as he does for Nigeria when he is played upfront. .
All the same shaa... I think it was their way of telling us that Moses never score FA Cup goal for two years... funny people... looolll
TheGoodJoe: I will also like to address the notion that someone said he would join a group against one of our promising young talents, Kelechi Iheanacho. That is unbelievable to read. That is not what we are doing here. We are here for the best of the team and the best of Nigerian players. There should not be a pro or anti Nacho or any player campaign.
Just as we should see ourselves on this thread as family, we should have the same love and respect for our young players, both home and foreign based. Their success will only make our team stronger.
So we should not wish or go against any of our players.
If any wants to criticise, he is free to do it but it should be with an honest intention to build the player and not to tear the player down.
The idea that someone intends to run a player down on the thread even though the player is doing well, frightens me.
Football is our biggest uniting force. We should help it continue to heal the wounds our division has caused us.
TheGoodJoe: I just want to address the Rapid way insults at an alarming rate happens on this thread. I know a Whatsapp group that had some old Super Eagles players including Emma Okocha. The group was known for in depth analysis of the game and healthy debates.
Then there was a breakdown of order and two members of the group went on a Rapid session of insults. Sad part is that two of them were friends who knew themselves for years. Then there was an exodus of members from the group due to that breakdown including the Former Super Eagles members.
So the insults have the potential of not only hurting those the words were hauled at but also making members not take the thread seriously.
We should take each others as brothers and take each others family members as ours. When I lost my father last October, I got Condolence messages from this thread that in a little way made it possible to deal with the painful loss.
We should keep that love among us growing just as tbaba1234 sent a gift to another members child.
What kind of silly news article is this? Moses chasing FA Cup goal for where??
Victor Moses is a RWB at Chelsea. His primary responsibility isn't to score goals. When/if he scores, it's only a bonus ... hence, he shouldn't be "chasing any FA Cup goals".

TheSuperNerd: Moses Chases First FA Cup Goal In Two Years, Kayode Eyes First 2018 LaLiga Start By Johnny Edward
Victor Moses will hope to end his goal drought of two years in the English FA Cup when Chelsea take on Hull City in the fifth round of the competition on Friday night at Stamford Bridge, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. The Nigerian international who has scored six times in the competition last scored a goal in the FA Cup in West Ham’s 5-1 demolition of Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on February 21, 2016.
The 27-year-old was then on loan at West Ham from Chelsea. If Moses gets Antonio Conte’s nod to play tonight, it would be his 30th appearance in the competition since he made his FA Cup debut 10 years ago, coming on as a substitute in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 loss at Vicarage Road to Watford. In Spain, it remains to be seen if Olanrewaju Kayode will make his first appearance for Girona in 2018 when they host Leganes on Friday.
Kayode, who has made 12 La Liga Santander appearances since joining Girona on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City, last featured for the club on the 21st of December in their 4-1 defeat to Eibar.
In Germany, Leon Balogun is in line to make his ninth Bundesliga apprearance for Mainz 05 on Friday when they travel to Berlin to face Hertha Berlin. Balogun has been a bit-part player for Mainz this season due to injury. If Balogun gets the chance to feature it will be his 70th appearance in the German Bundesliga since he made his debut.
Wow. Croatia really means business this time. And I was here praying that they would underrate and take us for granted like most of the Euro pundits are doing. Anyway, I hope that Rohr and his crew have their own scouts ready to spy Croatia, Iceland, and Argentina. Let the better scouts (or should we say, let the better spies) win

TheSuperNerd: Croatia Appoint Vukojevic To Spy On Super Eagles Vs Poland By David Meshioye
Croatia Football Federation (CFF) have endorsed the appointment of top scout Dalic Vukojević to spy on Super Eagles as Gernot Rohr’s men take on Poland in a pre-World Cup friendly on March 23, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Sportske.jutarnji.hr confirmed on Thursday evening that the scout’s basic task would be to study the Nigeria national team closely and provide coach Zlatko Dalić with all necessary dossiers on individual players that make up the Super Eagles. The Croatia sports platform revealed that Nigeria remains coach Dalic’s biggest headache in Russia 2018 Group D which also has Iceland and Argentina. The coach had on Wednesday insisted that beating Nigeria is not negotiable if Croatia is to have any chance of making progress in the group.
Dalic is said to have developed confidence in Vukojević after the latter helped Dalić with right analysis ahead of the duel with Ukraine in Kiev, to ensure the country’s qualification for the World Cup. The Dynamo Kyiv scout who is joining the Croatian backroom staff on temporary basis will be in Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, venue of the friendly match between Nigeria and Poland. The three-time African champions have been drawn in Group D along with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and Nigeria’s group opener is against Croatia on June 16.

It's only in Nigeria that you'd see a governor doling out state fund as it's his personal money. In the United States a governor (or even the president) cannot spend a dime without congressional authorization. But in Nigeria, these thieves tend to use the state treasury as their personal piggy bank accounts.

Dr Chigozie who lost his Father shortly after gaining admission to study Optometry in Imo State University was threatened to withdraw for lack of funding as his mother’s vegetable trade could not sponsor his education.
After becoming governor in 2011, Rochas Okorocha declared free and compulsory education from primary to university and that would rekindle the spark of greatness in the young Doctor to soar to greatness.
Maybe in Nigeria but buying a used phone in the United States isn't such a bad thing actually. You can actually save a load of money, if you know where to look. Many people are crazy about new stuffs ... they must get the latest model, and most of them get bored after using them briefly. So ebay is the best place to purchase a used phone if you live in America. And with eBay's Money Back Guarantee, you can't go wrong. You can always return it if the phone is not as described.
I just purchased a used Samsung Galaxy Note8 on ebay a few weeks ago, and the phone is in MINT condition (barely used at all). The battery life is super and everything is in perfect condition. Unfortunately for me, I have already cracked the screen ... now, I am going to lose a lot of money if I try to resale it as I had planned. But I might have to do that because I still prefer my 2 year old iphone 6s plus, believe it or now. I am just an iphone guy, I dunno why
To me, the only downside to buying a used phone is the battery life. Hence, if you wanna purchase a used phone don't purchase a model that came out more than 1 year ago.

Nigerian and copy copy. The problem is lack of creativity. We copy everything: from fake American and British accents down to rap music.
I've got quite a few Asian friends who have lived here since high school but they've still retained their Asian accents. An average Nigerian would start faking her accents; and the saddest part is that they often sound funny with those accents!
Yes, for the World Cup proper, it would make sense if we beef up the squad (at the U-20 levels) with a few foreign based pros. However, I still think that we have enough talents back home to take on the likes of Lesotho, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, etc. in the qualifiers. And I can assure you that no other African country would be using foreign based players in the qualifying stages of either the U-17 or the U-20.
Problem is, our naija indigenous coaches don't want to do the hard work. If we give them this leeway, don't be surprised to see them present 11 foreign based players in our next U-17 match. They are too lazy (or clueless) to groom players, so they would rather rely on the already made stars.
But once you get to U20 in many cases you are dealing with full fledged first team experienced players. Players who have already played a couple of seasons of first team football tactically astute and technically top class.
Consider Ryan Ssegnon started playing for Fulham at 16 in the Championship.
Or our own boys, Iorfa, Onyedinma, Lookman, etc, etc
You will find a few players as good even better but majority will be at a distinct disadvantage compared to players in Europe.
So you don't think that we are capable of upgrading our infrastructures before the year 2026? I think we can if we really want to. Or we can make a joint bid with Ghana; that way we can only shoulder half of the cost.

I agree with you, but I still don't think that it's a good idea. And I can understand if we select a few promising foreign based pros once we qualify for the U-17/20 World Cup, but I don't think that we have any excuse not to use our home based players in the qualifiers especially in this day and age when we've got dozens of soccer academies all over Nigeria!
These coaches should get off their a$$ and visit hundreds of high schools and football academies we have throughout Nigeria. I can assure you that they would unearth enough talent to even win the World Cup. I honestly don't see any need for foreign based players in the qualifying stages. We've got more than enough talents at home, somebody just need to discover them. And that's what we're paying these "coaches" to do.
O pari
Icon4s: Oga, it is not law that the cadet(U17) players must be all home-based.
It has just been mostly an attempt for the NFF to avoid travelling hitched for the players (as being minors, they would have to come in the company of an adult). Secondly, the cost of flying those players and their guides. Thirdly, the NFF is giving locally groomed players an opportunity to make head way in their footballing careers.
And if the NFF say they are ready to take care of the logistics of bringing those foreign born players who are we to object?
I beg to differ ... 1997 was over 20 years ago. Hence, if they took those pictures when they were 11, that puts them at around 32 years of age. They definitely look their age, especially the woman. And you gotta consider that they grew up in the rough and tough African environment. Hard times make people age quicker than normal.
