The funny thing is that she actually looks like Angelina Jolie "before surgery", but after 50 surgeries I wasn't surprised with that transformation sha. Once you start going under the knife, it becomes addictive. The same thing happened to Michael Jackson ... if he had stop doing plastic surgery with the looks he had on his Thriller album, that would've been perfect. But he kept going and going and going until he turned into something too sad to look at. O pari |
I agree .... right now, they are not anywhere close to a world cup winning caliber team. But take it from me, you'll see a totally different Argie team in Russia. Mark my words. And seriously, if they can rejuvenate their defence line, I can see Leo Messi lifting the cup in Moscow. You can never write off any team that has Leo Messi. And Sampoali isn't the best coach in the world but he's definitely an upgrade to Tata Martino. We just need to pray that like Aguero, Higuin (if he's invited), Dybala etc can finally get their acts together and play well for Argentina! As great as he is, Messi can't do it by himself ... it takes 11 guys! And somebody needs to tell Angel Di Maria that it isn't a crime if he can stay fit for one full tournament. This constant injuries anytime he plays for Argentina is becoming very annoying ![]() O pari Humility017: |
Safari, remember how everyone wrote off the Argies in 2014 and they almost won the entire thing! I agree with you that they currently lack cohesion and their defenceline is aging. But you're forgetting that Sampoali is going to have about 2 months to tinker the team before the World Cup proper. Seriously, I think the Argies can spring a surprise. Having said that, I must confess that I was a little biased ... I just want Messi to win the World Cup before he retires ![]() O pari safarigirl: |
Tell me about it! I honestly don't support that Agali's appointment. Now, the Nigerian factor and sentiments are bound to get into the team selection process. They should've left Rohr alone to do his thing. O pari Humility017: |
And by the way, I think Argentina will win the world cup. They remind me of of Brazil 2002 - they struggled with qualification, but have three amazing attacking players; same with this Argie team (Messi, Aguero, Di Maria). They were supposed to win it in 2014 but were unlucky coupled with the fact that they had a horrible coach in Tata plus Di Maria always getting injured in crucial games. But now, everything seems to be coming together: Messi is still at his best, Sampoli is a decent coach so watch out for the Argies. Also I think Messi will trump Ronaldo's achievement with Portugal by winning the big one ![]() O pari o |
Ol boy, I don dey shake o. In the next 24 hrs we'll know but you can bet that Nigeria will be in the group of death. Mark my words! Save this thread and pull it out tomorrow!! FIFA the most corrupt organization the world has seen. Come tomorrow some balls will be heated, some will be chilled so the person doing the draw will know exactly what teams are coming out. Just like with every previous draw. O pari elyte89: |
But you'll still marry him if he proposes. Trust me on that one. I know women, they have all these standards .... until the first dude proposes to them, then all the standard goes outta window ![]() O pari Lilimax: |
Like you won't jump for joy if he comes to marry you tomorrow Like they said, someone who can't afford a bottle of beer says that it tastes bitter. O pari Lilimax: |
MOBO awards is a useless award that nobody cares about. Call me when he wins the Grammy. And to say that Wizkid beats Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, etc is mischievous because those artists didn't even participate. The organizers just put their names out there! O pari |
Nice. Op thanks for sharing. Based on the pictures I have seen (including this one), Accra appears to be a much smaller city than most naija cities. But on the positive side, Accra is much cleaner and more organized. And I heard that the night life in Accra is top notch too ![]() O pari |
Please don't tell me that you believe this FAKE news. Let me teach you how to spot them: First, any news article that purports to quote somebody without giving you a direct quote from the person is fake news. Second, you gotta consider the source where the information is coming from - was any links to the original article provided? If so, does the original article come from a reputable news organization? Having said that, the fake Ronaldo is not in position to be giving any orders on players to buy because Real Madrid are actually planning to bundle him out of the team so they can buy Neymar. Problem though, no team wants him. My sources have confirmed that both Manchester teams (City and United) have both said no. And PSG doesn't agree to any swap involving Ronaldo and Neymar (or even Mbappe) either. O pari kolafolabi: |
My broda, I weak for some folks here sha! If anything, Osaze should even a better option than Martins because he's younger and a much better player too. All in all, Joel Obi the only player I would support his recall at this time. Enyeama has retired, we should let him enjoy his well deserved retirement. Martins, Uche, etc are not needed. The team we qualified with is good enough especially when you include the likes of: Idowu, Aina, Uzoho, and hopefully Joel Obi. O pari Humility017: |
Nna, so many factors go into team selection .... believe me! Meanwhile, did you read the BBC article on how Ethnic minority coaches still face 'barriers' in English football? So do you think that those barriers are limited to the ethnic minority coaches and don't extend to the players as well? Anyway, I hope and pray that Kelechi would be bold enough to have a crucial end of year conversation with the coach. Go in there and ask him why you're not playing. And if he doesn't give you a good explanation then request a loan move in January. I am pretty sure that there are many EPL teams who would be happy to take him and give him playing time. Kelechi needs to play football next year, I don't care if it's in the Championship sef. And by the way, if Kelechi is as piss poor as some of y'all makes him out to be, why then were ManCity hesitant to let him go? Remember that they even tried to put a buy back clause in his contract! #JustSaying .... O pari komekn: |

You can't be serious! The tall guy can play basketball and make millions ![]() O pari Estherfabian: |
You're asking me to prove a negative here, bro. We simply don't know what we don't know. I mean, we can only make a fair assessment of both players if Kelechi has played 14 matches this season. Unfortunately, he hasn't. So is Vardy better? No one knows ![]() O pari edi287: |
There's no place for Obafemi Martins in the current Super Eagles team. Martins has had his chance. We don't need over the hill players to come and mess up the team chemistry. Somebody needs to advice Rohr to close his ears to all the agents and chop and chop journos that full naija. He should keep the core of his players and just tweak a few weak areas. If Martins like, let him be scoring in the moon. This Super Eagles team isn't a retirement home for some over the hill players. O pari safarigirl: |
Is Vardy better than Kelechi? Well some reasonable people may disagree but I don't think so. Yes, Jamie Vardy has had only one good breakout season but who says that Kelechi wouldn't do better if he's afforded the same opportunity? The point is, we don't know what we don't know. O pari edi287: |
Bia, are you on druggzz or something ![]() O pari Excuzeme: |
So why did they buy Nacho when they knew that they weren't willing to let Mahrez leave? Did they tell him before he signed the contract that he was being brought in to be a back up to either Vardy or Mahrez? O pari edi287: |
My only beef with the coaching crew at Leicester is that they haven't given Nacho a chance to perform. Shakespeare claimed that he wanted to introduce him gradually since he was coming off an injury. You pay big buck for a player because you need him, but if you start off by keeping him on the bench it affects his confidence and his game. Kelechi is new to the team, it would take him time to get at the top of his game but you gotta give him game time to help him get there. Keeping him on the bench would damage his confidence. Up until yesterday, Jamie Vardy has been on a scoreless run but didn't they keep playing him? Kelechi doesn't need to walk on water before he can start at Leicester. I am not one of those folks who would jump on a player because he's sitting on the bench. I would only criticize you when you're given a chance to play and then you don't deliver. O pari Mujtahida: |
Exactly! You made my point, bro. There are a 1001 reasons why a coach may not like to play you. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're doing something wrong. Sometimes you just gotta step away from that situation and find a better place for yourself. Unfortunately, an average Nigerian tend to kick a man when he's down even before critically analyzing the situation! I will be the first person to criticize Kelechi is he's been given chances upon chances and he failed to deliver. But that's not the case here. Yet some folks still have the audacity to talk smack about him. I remember that under some coaches at Chelsea, Mikel Obi was benched by all manner of journey men including Romeu (sp). But when Chelsea got a coach like Ancellotti and Guus Hiddink, you see Mikel playing practically every game. What change? Nothing but the coach. Some folks simply don't get it. O pari Taliban: |
Pretty girl. And by the way, this problem isn't limited to Zambians alone ... all black Africans are jealous of each other. That's why I try to stay away from Nigerians. An average Nigerian would rather push you down than help you stand. O pari |
Nobody is talking about racism here. The point I made, which you conveniently failed to address, is that Nacho hasn't really been given a chance to perform. Hence, it doesn't make sense to write him off if he hasn't been given an opportunity to play. The only thing we know for sure is that they have kept him on the bench for whatever reason. If they have given him chances upon chances and he fails to deliver then they can justify keeping him on the bench. After spending about $30m on a player, one would expect that they would give the player a few chances to play with the team. And it isn't like the players keeping him on the bench are setting the league on fire either! This is not the time to start applying false equivalence, let's discuss Kelechi's situation on its own merits (or lack thereof). Anyway, I hope Kelechi requests a loan move in January. O pari Mujtahida: |
Wow. To spend N17 million on cutleries?! Those must be some gold and diamond encrusted cutleries. Nigeria, we hail thee! O pari o |
Nigerian and their pressure cooker. Please mek una leave this man alone to do his job abeg. All of a sudden Obafemi Martins has become the best striker on the planet. But nobody talked about him when we were sweating on how to beat Cameroun and Zambia. Now that we have qualified, all the quack bloggers and journalists are coming out of the woodworks with their own lists. I am sure that many of them are getting paid to write all these craps. O pari goldfish80: |
BS upon BS! You guys should stop all these nonsense with writing off Nigerian players even before they are given a chance to perform! On what basis are you claiming that Vardy is a better striker than Nacho? Listen until a player is given chances to perform and he fails to deliver, please don't sit there and claim that this person or that person is better than him. How many games has Nacho started at Leicester since he was signed? And if they knew that all these players were better than him why did they spend almost $30m on him? So he can sit on the bench? Do you even know the damage sitting on the bench does to a player's confidence? Look at what happened to Mo Sallah at Chelsea. If he's a Nigerian, folks like you would write him off. But the point is, he wasn't given a chance at Chelsea. When he stepped out and performed at Roma, Liverpool came calling and today he's the top EPL scorer. Imagine if he had stayed at Chelsea ... he would still be riding bench. O pari edi287: |
I think you just need a little "convincing" before you can take the plunge ![]() O pari

|
On a serious note tho, you guys need to understand all the politics involved in the game these days. Take for instance, before today, Jamie Vardy had gone 7 games without a single goal, but they kept playing him. Imagine what happens if Iheanacho goes two games without a goal. The other day, Everton's Oumar Niasse was given a two game retroactive ban for diving! Was that the worst dive you've seen? gosh, it wasn't exactly a dive because there was a contact. Do you think that someone like Jamie Vardy or Harry Kane would get the same treatment? gosh, they couldn't even retroactively punish Lukaku after he clearly committed a red card offence last Saturday. They didn't even charge him. But if the tables were turned and he's an African, you can count on a two game retroactive ban. Bottom line, we need to upgrade our league so that our players can stay home. O pari Taliban: |
