Yea, for Boko Haram insurgents and Fulani herdsmen, I will fully support the deployment of troops. But it bothers me when we start deploying troops to arrest individual civilians like Nnamdi Kalu. O pari Odianose13: True talk bro. But I tell you. The North needs a strong touch. Buhari has overlooked a lot of their wrongdoings. Have you seen the latest? So disturbing. Since I've been living in Canada myself, ive never seen such genocide at all. Plus when it's now a daily affair in Nigeria.

I have lived in the US for over 20 years but I have never seen the US Military on the street. But in Nigeria, we deploy the Army to fight all manner of petty crimes and civil disobedience! That's bizarre. You don't deploy army of the street except during the war or the state of emergency. O pari Odianose13: The intelligence fusion centre to be created in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital can serve as a law enforcement agency. |

Nigeria is really a useless country - a zoo!
So we've officially started using the Nigerian Army as a law enforcement agency? What happened to the Nigerian Police? How do you maintain your army as a full ready fighting force when you deploy them in fighting petty crimes?

tbaba is correct. In modern game, you don't need your LW to be necessarily left footed. Today, your LW is usually your SS so you need him inside the box and not necessarily as someone whipping in crosses from the flanks. The role of your old school LW is now being played by the LWB. O pari tbaba1234: Diversifying your attack does not necessarily have to do with left footed or right footed players. Nowadays, right-footers play on the left and left-footers on the right.
I do not know if it is a problem yet. Against Argentina, the reason we attacked mainly from the right in my opinion was because of Ndidi. Ogu played from the left but was understandably less willing to go forward so we built from the right.
I remember Victor Moses was a solid threat on the left against Cameroon and Algeria. |

German-Nigerian defender Kevin Akpoguma has left the door open over a potential switch of allegiance to Nigeria, few days after saying he wants to focus on progressing through the ranks of Germany.
He has already represented Germany at various youth levels, but coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr was hoping to convince him to switch allegiance to Nigeria at senior level.
Rohr is in Germany and he confirmed that he will hold talks with Akpoguma soon to have a chat with him on playing for Nigeria, but the 22 year old immediately responded by saying he wants to play for Germany.
However reports from Germany monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com has it that he granted an interview on a sport programme in Germany, where he confirmed he is open to the idea of playing for Nigeria.
Roland Mark said Akpoguma even confirmed talks will be held with Rohr who handles the Nigerian team, referring to him as a coach he respects a lot right from his days as director of youth football in Germany.

Former Everton striker Yakubu ‘The Yak’ Aiyegbeni has announced his retirement from football on his 35th birthday today.
The big striker featured for Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where millions of fans still remember him missing a big sitter against Korea Republic which would qualified Nigeria to the knockout stage of the tournament.
He has played for several clubs including Maccabi Haifa of Israel, Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough as well as in China and Turkey.
Earlier this year, Yakubu cancelled his contract at English club Coventry.

That might imply many things but it certainly doesn't imply a threat to bolt if he isn't in the World Cup squad. The dude has been in and out of the team since he switched his allegiance but he still hasn't bolted yet. The only thing that may make him switch, assuming we don't cap him by then, is if Rohr's contract isn't renewed after World Cup. O pari MetalJigsaw: “Defensively, I stood my ground, and offensively I tried to do as much as possible, and it all went well, I think.”
"Now, the player, who has a Nigerian father and a Dutch mother, says having proved his class in the clash against the star-studded Argentine side, he should be considered for a spot in Rohr’s World cup squad"
What does this imply to you? |

Baba icon4s, let me repeat this ICYM: Holland is not going to cap Ebuehi just for the heck of it. They are NOT England, so we got time to cap him during the World Cup or shortly afterwards. The Seychelles game would've been a bloody waste of time for a team preparing for the world cup. We're not going to play a team like Seychelles in Russia. So let's use that window to schedule one or two grade A friendly match somewhere in Europe. O pari Icon4s: I still feel we needed that Seychelles game so we cap all the capable foreign borns.
Ebuehi is still available for Holland. |
