First of all, when did you become Igbo Urhobo and Itshekiri don't count, mind you Having said that, no one is saying that you'll never find beautiful women in other parts of Naija. But facts are facts. You are more likely to find a beautiful Igbo woman (and you can include Fulani as well) than any other tribes in Nigeria. It's the blessing of the LORD, don't fight it! The Igbos are blessed with intelligent hardworking men and intelligent beautiful women. Again, this has nothing to do with xenophobia but just F-A-C-T-S. O pari LuvU2: Dont kid urself. I'm igbo nd there are beautiful women in all tribes. U will know if u travel more. If ur definition of pretty is fair face and pointy nose, then u re only limiting urself to a standard set by urself or your colonial masters cos there re very pretty women without those features.
Yoruba has a lot of pretty women. I saw a Yoruba girl in a salon recently and i was wondering how someone can be this perfect. She didn't have pointy nose or fair skin either. ❤ ❤ |

Yes, I have watched Orji played once. He seems like the real deal. I will definitely support his invite - 100%. He might be the target man we've been looking for. O pari mazimee: Rohr’s Scout Agali Hints – Bologna Forward Orji Could Take Kayode Eagles Spot
Red hot Bologna forward Orji Okonkwo could be in line for a first time call up according to the head scout of the Super Eagles Victor Agali during a radio interview monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com in Lagos. Okonkwo has scored three goals in the Serie A from seven substitute appearance for Bologna, and Agali confirmed he is no doubt in the picture of the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup in Russia.
” Every player doing well will be called up when the team resume preparations for the World Cup next year, just as some players not doing well for their club could lose their spot”, Agali said. Although he didn’t mention the names of players who are on the brink of losing their national team spot, he however failed to provide any assurances that on loan Manchester City forward Olarewaju Kayode will be given a look in.
Kayode has struggled for game time at Girona since joining them on loan from Manchester City, and the forward who is presently out injured has also not made good use of the chances he has been given by coach of the Nigeria national team Gernot Rohr. |

No sir, Musa wasn't "removed", he resigned. Those are two different things. Thank me later O pari Kog45: Gok man good you said culture which mean we have imbibed it but not written rules.
The captain of a team can only be decided by a coach, comes tomorrow if Rohr said Mikel is no longer the captain that's it.Remember old Musa was removed as vice captain for younger Onazi, mind you Echiejele is still in the team
When Rohr was appointed the first thing he said was Mikel remain my captain just to set the record straight that am not ready to appoint another captain.
Let's go down to memory lane a bit on eagles captain, hope you still remember afcon 1984 Muda Lawal was the oldest with 4 afcon appearance but young Keshi was the captain.
Paul Hamilton made Andrew Uwe his captain at the despite having older players like Peter Rufai, Henry Nwosu,Ademola Adeshina even when Keshi came back fully during afcon and Olympics qualifiers in 1987,Andrew Uwe was still the captain
Hope you remember how Alloy Agu captain the team during early Westerhoff era with the presence of Ademola Adeshina,Andrew Uwe,Rasheed Yekini.
There was never a time Enyeama captain Eagles with the presence of Joseph Yobo in camp.Enyeama only captain the team on the field if Yobo find himself on the bench and this happened at Afcon 2013,this made Enyeama to handover captain band to him in the final to collect the cup.
The same scenario played itself at Tunisia 94 when Austin Eguavoen handed over captain band to Keshi after final game to collect the cup.
Remember Sunday Olishe was made the captain at the expense of older Finidi George 2000-2002 and no issue on it.
It was only Chuckwu(1980)Keshi(1990-1994)Austin Okocha(2002-2006)Kanu (2006-2010)Yobo(2010-2014)Enyeama (2014-2016)now Mikel, these are the beneficiaries of oldest being the captain.
My man it all depends on coaches decision cos a lot of things are put into consideration before a captain of the team is chosen. |

This sovereign (national) debt game is actually a shell game so I wouldn't worry about it too much. The last time I checked, practically every country in the world has a national debt: from United States to China, from Japan to Germany, etc. Which begs the question, who owns all these debts? If the richest and the biggest countries all have national debts, who are they borrowing from? Someone would say from the World Bank and the IMF. Well, the last time I check, neither the World Bank nor the IMF has any store or anything of economic value so how do they make their money to lend to other countries? O pari Databod: In 2006, Nigeria paid about $12.4bn to its foreign creditors in other to enjoy the $18bn debt write off, from the country’s total external debt of about $30bn. Nigerians heaved a sigh of relieve from the crippling debt overhang.
However, since 2010, Nigeria's debts have been increasing at an alarming rate. The rate of growth in Nigeria’s debt profile between 2015 and 2017 is particularly worrisome.
In just 12 months (July 2016 - July 2017), Nigeria borrowed an average of $2,029 per second.
As at June 2017, Nigeria's total debt stood at $64billion i.e. Total Domestic debt = $49billion. Total foreign debt = $15billion. Using the official population figure of 186million, the total debt per citizen is $344 ~ N105,000.

I honestly don't know why he didn't make the 2014 World Cup team. But facts are facts, he was tried out and didn't make the team. But to be honest with you, I was actually surprised that he missed the cut in 2014 because I knew that Martins was having an MVP season at Seattle. But, for whatever reason, Keshi felt that the likes of Shola Ameobi, Michael Uchebo, and Uche Nwofor were better than him. But he would have definitely made my 2014 World Cup team, if I were making the cut. But now, my case against Martins is that: First, he's simply not better than the players we currently have in the team. I frankly don't see whom he could replace in the current team. Secondly, he's way too old for us to waste a world cup slot on him. Since we are in rebuilding mode, any vacant slots should go to young players (Osihmen, Onyekuru, Kayode, etc). Third, Martins isn't playing in a competitive league any more so his stats might not tell the whole story. Yes, numbers can actually lie. Scoring 10 goals in the Chinese league isn't the same thing as scoring 10 goals in EPL. Fourthly, if Martins is so indispensable to the team, why didn't these folks clamoring for his recall made this case during the qualifiers? Now that we've qualified, all of a sudden we remember that we don't have a team without Obafemi Martins. Are you kidding me O pari forgiveness: You are saying he couldn't make the team based on quality and not on merit. Now, that is being mischievous at best.
So. You mean Uchebo, Ameobi and the other boy deserved to be selected based on merit?
I know some of you are afraid Iheanacho might lose his position once he competes with a better player but pls do note that national team was not created for one player. It is for the best to come and fight for shirt. |

My brotha, that one weak me o. But I can't understand why the Nigerian Civil Service try to force people to retire? We don't do that in America. I mean, unless you're in certain type of job (law enforcement, military, etc), there's a minimum retirement age but there's no maximum working age per se. You can work until you're 100 years old as long as you're able and willing to work. O pari Kog45: So you don't know that 90% of Nigeria civil servants used fabricated age and then ask most Nigerians to tender their birth certificate, what you w see is court affidavits to back their reduced age,so it's general. |

I will lose total confidence on Agali if he advocates Obafemi Martins' invite. In 2014, Martins was much younger and playing in a more competitive MLS, yet he couldn't make the Brazil world cup team. Now, they want us to invite the over 40 year old Martins to camp! What for exactly?? Maybe I should come out of retirement and try my luck with the team as well, because I am pretty sure that I am not older than Martins by much, if at all O pari Kog45: The same Agali said likely Maduka Okoye,Joel Obi and Obafemi Martins would be called up.
On Felix Uduokhai i don't think so cos Darlington Omodiagbe who based in Germany and one of the scouts for Rohr has tried his best to convince both Uduokhai and Akpoguma but till now they have refused to show interest. |

You know why they can't imagine that? Because the likelihood of losing that many key players before the World Cup is lower than the likelihood of Nigeria winning the world cup.

This is quite refreshing to read. Like I had said several times, Rohr isn't gonna invite more than 3 new players to the World Cup. The core and the base of the team is already formed. Right now, I can only think of beefing up the goalkeeping dept., Joel Obi, and probably Felix Uduokhai. The tired legs like Martins and Uche should be allowed to retire in peace. O pari junnyjake: Eagles Scout Agali – Rohr Knows His World Cup Squad, No New Players Needed
The newly appointed chief scout of the Super Eagles Victor Agali says coach Gernot Rohr won’t be considering new players in his squad for the World Cup in Russia next year.
Agali made this known in a television programme in Lagos monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com, while responding to a question on if new players are going to make the squad to the World Cup.
He said there will be no need for new players in the team as the coach already has the team he plans taking to the World Cup 2018, and bringing in new players could disrupt the understanding in the team.
“The players are fired up now, the bonding is strong and they understand themselves, there would be no need to disrupt that understanding by bringing in new players. Rohr already has the players he will need at the World Cup”, Agali remarked.

I wasn't advocating that we disregard the players in big leagues and big clubs. My point is, we ought to give everyone who's doing well a chance to stake a claim .... then whomever performs in the green and white should get the nod regardless of the league or club he plays for. Oliseh's school of thought was "if you're not playing in the top divisions then you're not good enough". And on that, I totally disagree. If you are playing well, then you're playing well. You can only compete against the people put in front of you. Hence, the only way for us to determine whether you can only perform amongst the mediocre is to give you a chance to reproduce that form amongst the best of the best. O pari komekn: So how are you going to determine who is best and or better.
Scoring 15 goals on Norway is not the same thing as scoring 15 in the EPL, La Liga and or the Bundesliga.
We pick players in the best leagues as it is already an indicator for excellence and top quality. |

Thanks for taking us down memory lane again. Quite refreshing But, abeg, don't mention Efetebore and Sam Sodje again .... some of us know how Efe Sodjie made the National team under Pa Onigbinde. I don't wanna go into a full expose but let's just say that they are amongst the folks I nicknamed "$10,000 per junk player". I am pretty sure you'll understand O pari Kog45: O pari master do we need to argue this i don't think so,am not disputing seeing rare gem in lower league but a good national team is made up of players playing in quality leagues.
I remember Rueben Agboola very well playing for Swansea in lower league then, hope you remember Emeka Ezeugu who made national team playing in India league,George Abbey playing in league two,Rasheed Yekini making the team playing for African sport, also Thompson Oliha playing in cote d voire for Asec,Gabriel Okolosi with African sport,Efetebore and Sam Sodje doing it in championship.
We have them like that but better to have your players in good league, this is why i always praised Westerhoff for showing Nigeria players way out to better league. He made sure Yekini moved to Europe cos he can't imagine Yekini playing in African league. He assisted players like Tijani to Roda JC,Finidi and Kanu to Ajax,Amokachie to club brugge,Okechukwu to Brondby in Denmark,Ben Iroha to Vitesse Arnhem,Friday Elaho to Brondby and find club for Emeka Ezeugu in Denmark from India.
He did this to boost the quality of his team cos good leagues will boost the national team output.Do you think beating Argentina can be done with bunch of players from lower league. |
