It only becomes based on the silverwares won when it favors Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid and FIFA has corrupted and politicized the game so much that it's not fun any more.

internationalman: Since when did d Ballon d'or become a team award. Why didn't a player from Liverpool win it in 2005, Why didn't a player from Man Utd win it in 2008 Why didn't a player from Chelsea win it in 2012, why didn't a player from Inter Milan want it in 2010 why didn't a player from Bayern Munich win it in 2013
In fact, during the last el classic, the only way that Real could stop him was by fouling him, with Sergio Ramos earning a straight red card for a wild two-footed lunge while Casemiro was a little lucky to escape dismissal for repeated fouls and Mateo Kovacic also earned a yellow card for fouling the Argentine.
Despite forcing his opponents into such desperate measures, Messi still managed six shots on goal, four of which were on target - more than any other player. He also embarked upon seven dribbles, again higher than anyone else, and his 72 touches of the ball were more than any Real player (Dani Carvajal had 71).
I would like to see Cristiano Ronaldo's numbers besides the tap ins and the penalties.
if I play like Cristiano in a side that created lots of chances, I would score goals too. What really separates the good from the really good is that ability to take a game by the scruff of the neck and create something out of nothing when the need arises, not being overly dependent on your creative colleagues to create tap in opportunities for you ala Cristiano Ronaldo

If Ballon D'or is given to the best player in the world then there's no way Leo Messi shouldn't had won it from 2008 to present. It shouldn't even be a contest in any way, shape, or form. These days, all these awards have become a popularity contest and it doesn't even have meaning any more. Think about it, unlike in the past, most people are not even aware that Ballon D'or is being awarded today neither do they care! This is because Real Madrid and the fake Ronaldo has damaged the awards and their credibility with their politics.
In theory, this like up can work if you move Mikel down to replace Ogu, then move Iwobi down to in place of Mikel, and put Ighalo in Iwobi's position. Those are the pros.
The con(s): Victor Moses doesn't play with the same discipline for the Super Eagles as he does for Chelsea. He might not track back to support the defence. It doesn't make a lot of sense to deploy your best and most creative player as a wingback.
O pari
blueto: I have said it before that I prefer Moses as a wing back in this formation and I gave reasons for that and I believe they are justifiable reasons.
•He is good defensively •With more freedom playing for the SE, he can perform better and cause more havoc going forward as a wing back than he performs for Chelsea. He created two clear-cut chances for Chelsea against Athletico Madrid on Tuesday in that position from the highlight I watched. •The result yielding combination of Mikel-Iwobi-Iheancaho should be allowed to continue.
Omo, I think you're mistaking the movement of the game (ball) with the speed of the individual players. Real Madrid plays a fast attacking football but this doesn't imply that players like Modric and Kovacic are speed stars, they just try to go with the flow and move the ball quickly. After all, this is the same midfield where Mesut Ozil excelled.
Bottom line, apples to apples, our midfielders are faster and stronger than the Croats. And you can prove this to yourself when we play them next June.
O pari
TheGoodJoe: Enjoy for your viewing pressure. I hope Kovacic does not have a god game against us. Although I am a big fan of his.
Haha!! Do they still call it "lift"? Why not elevator?
Choi, if you use the word lift around here, nobody would even understand what da hell you're talking about.
O pari
kel4soft: I did my industrial attachment there (ministry of works although posted to RCC). Enjoyed their lift. Always nice if you have something to talk about.
Wow! I must be watching a different game all these while. Modric as fast as Ndidi? Kovacic faster than Onazi??
Anyway, this is one of those arguments that we would get you nowhere, so I am not even gonna try. When we play then in June then we shall see.
O pari
TheGoodJoe: I think the Croatians have a faster midfield trio than us. Ndidi and Modric are about the same in respect to speed. Kovacic is faster than Onazi. Rakitic is faster than Mikel Obi. Coupled with the technical abilities in passing, shooting and Dribbling, makes the Croatians a better combo.
However, with effective strategy and tactics, we can match.
Nna, I don taya for that argument sef. Anyone who watched those series of games and concluded that Victor Obinna Nsofor wasn't playing well needs to have his head examined (no offence). He was simply their best player ... to the extent that even the usually biased British commentators were singing his praises during every game.
O pari
TheGoodJoe: Nsofor was firing with all cylinders. His drop did not look as a case of rotation. It looked totally unfair, dropping one of their best performing players. Funny part is that the team tanked after such comical decision. If it was an English boy, Heads will roll.
Actually, this doesn't mean nada. Anybody can play with the youth side either because he's recovering from injury or because the coach needed you to try out a specific role. I will only get concerned if he keeps playing with the youth side.
O pari
goldfish80: This can't be right. Never knew things have gotten this bad for Kelechi. Under twenty what?
Actually, I beg to differ. They are all very skillful and technical players but they are slow. I think we'll outrun them in the midfield. I like our chances in pitting Onazi, Ndidi, and Mikel against Rakitic, Kovacic, and Modric.
O pari
TheGoodJoe: Kovacic, Modric and Rakitic is sure a deadly combination for us to face due to their intense work rate in the midfield. They might not offer the right defensive balance but their overall work rate is certainly a problem for us to face.
Buhari will win again .... by a landslide. While the Afonjas would sit their fat ikebe at home giving the naija senior houseboy, aka Osyboy Osinbajo, the twitter man of the year
Look at this one, eh? Trado doesn't necessarily mean wrapper and scarf!

Ritajovy: To me, that's nonsense. In Home Economics, one of the things I was taught about the characteristics of a school uniform is that it should be comfortable. That traditional wear ain't comfortable especially with the gals. They tie wrapper to school with scarf. Like ,who does that There was one I witnessed one day, the gals wrapper was un-tieing along the way and she kept re-tieing it. Even children wear wrappers to school also. That is not comfortable to me. Most of these classrooms don't have working fans. The ones that do, have power failure to contend with. Biko, let's stick with out simple school uniforms.
Good idea as long as they don't make it MANDATORY. It has to be strictly optional because there are folks who don't have (and can't afford) native attires.
