It applies to the state universities but understand that the state universities already operate on a minimum wage almost more than this current minimum wage , maybe the governor will up theirs because they usually operate way above the minimum wage in Rivers State. For example before now someone on grade level 8 in the state universities earn more than twice someone on grade level 8 with the Rivers state ministries, you get the picture.

When allowances are added a cleaner will take 100k at the end of the month in Rivers state, for a teacher that figure is very poor.

The 85k is for grade level 1, a cleaner in Rivers state will be on either grade level 2 or 3 wll have a salary more than 91k monthly meaning a teacher who is on grade level 8(newly recruited) will have over double what anambra pays to their teachers.

A teacher in Anambra as at today using the figure you posted would earn less than or equal to a cleaner in Rivers state.
