iamchux: GTBank Token Device is a small digital device (used for generating codes) that allows you register your GTB atm mastercard with an activation code. Reason because, some internet Merchants request additional codes when making payment via your atm card. But most of my school online apps didn't request for this code, but www.ets.org/gre and www.ebay.com requested for this code!
Thanks for ur response, if I my ask how can one do it, I mean reg d card
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by idalex: 12:38pm On Jul 19, 2013
iamchux: Well, I sent my GRE score to two destinations using the GTB master card!
But let me explain something, the first time I tried using the card on ets.org/gre, they requested for a GTB Token activation code which I didn't have cause I hadn't registered for the Token device. The following day, I got my GTB niara master card fully registered with their Token device for just N2,205 and was able to send my score with my master card via ets.org/gre
I feel since its ets.org that operates both gre and toefl you should be able to pay using your master card registered with the Token device. Give it a try!
pls what do u mean by registering ur GTB naira master card with their Token device?
thanks

Ms Nas: Guy, this ur experience get as e be o! cheesy.
Me I didn't expereience any of that o. All I did was wear a normal top and three quarter jeans and sandals. I didn't look scruffy. I carried my phone, passport, drivers' license and school ID (mine doesn't have an expiration date). Got to seme, and asked a bike man to take me to Ecobank, he said he wants 1K I was like "you chop craze ni? Na 3H I get o" As the guy see say I dey waka, he called me. Jumped on the bike and when we reached the first check, the Immigration guy asked for ID, I gave him my school's.
The bike man carried me through a short cut (inside the market) and within 2 mins I was there.
When I was coming back, the guy that I changed money with asked me to give him my N250 change so that he can carry me back. I obliged and off we went. He took another route entirely and I didn't mind. We got to one local checkpoint sha and the guy manning the post told me to give him N100 as if it was his right. I blatantly refused, after a while...he let us go.
The bike guy dropped me and I tool a bus N350 to Mile 2. Shikena grin grin
u got d code, those pple are real problem & one need to oust them at all cost

Find Out!:
Dude, sorry about your denial. I really feel for you.
....
....

I shared my story with you to encourage you based on your sad closing statements because to some extent as you can see, I've been in your shoes before. So, young man, work towards getting those grades up, make some good friends, start studying for the GRE before you go for NYSC, stay with this thread, stay informed, do all that is necessary and by God's grace, shortly after your NYSC, you'll be on your way to the US to study with your parents paying nothing more than your flight ticket and some pocket money for you.

Cheer up, get up and conquer. It is well.
your words are full of powerful encouragement even though it was'nt directly to me. But my observation is in ur last paragraph. pls can u shed more light on how some1 can achieve this "…you'll be on your way to the US to study with your parents paying nothing more than your flight ticket and some pocket money for you."
Thanks

bigfrancis21: No. Her SEVIS fee is still valid. What does she need a new I-20 form for? She should use her old I-20 again unless there's a mistake on it which she contacted her school and told and they're preparing for her a new one. The only new payment she has to make is a another visa fee of N26,400. Her SEVIS, and I-20 still remain valid.
pls I have a question, do u mean if someone get a denial he will still have to make another payment of visa fee of N26,400 when reapplying? thanx

[quote author=bigfrancis021]PGD is post graduate. Any study beyond bachelors is post graduate. BabSharon has said it all.

You'll need to search and search on your own to get schools willing to accept you with your cgpa. And conversion to the US 4-point scale has a way of boosting one's CGPA. Don't limit your cgpa to the 5-point scale you're used to. If you have a student copy of your results, I'd suggest you convert your cgpa to the US 4-point scale so you'll get an idea of what your GPA is on the 4-point scale. Then you'll know what necessary action you'll take next. If you have the results with you I can put you through on how to convert it. [/quote

Thanks for ur advice, unfurtunately I don't have copy of my result with me, but my cgpa is 2.15. Can we start from here?

babsharon: 1. A third class student has a slim chances of gaining admission to masters program but u can get PGD either in united state or canada but i wont discourage u, because ur gpa might be computed in united state gpa standard and fortunately u qualify for admission. it is a thing u can do urself using WES evaluation standard if u have a student copy of ur transcript with u.

3. Yes u can use NECO result.
Thanks babsharon, Pls can u advise me on how to go about the PGD.
