Xsolutions:
Boss McCain, could you explain the REAL distinction between GEO's and EMD's? Can a geo also be an emd? Do domainers outbound EMD's like Geos too? Thanks.

A GEO domain is a name which has a service or product being prefixed or suffixed by a specific location (country, city, county, etc) name. For example, New//York//Family/Attorney//King or Family//Attorney//New//York//King.

EMD (Exact Match Domain) is a domain which follows a specific order of how web surfers search or use the phrase. In other words, the domain name matches a "search query," "search term," or "search phrase" as it is variously called. For example, "baby shower" is a two-word phrase which someone has registered as EMD. Obviously, EMD are descriptive and in a specific order of search pattern. You have to make use of keyword research tool most of the times to get EMD.

Another examples of EMD is "launch your business" and "launch your career" as you can see in the screenshot attached to this post. The more search volume and high CPC (cost per click) an EMD has, the more valuable that domain commands. EMD is good for SEO and it gets type-in traffic as well.

Quick Cash Domain Business

If you really want to make money with domain names and earn quick cash, simply focus on:
1. Geo domain names paying specific attention to CPC (cost per click) and search volume of the service keyword. The relevance of the domain name to potential end user must be established.
2. Keyword rich domain names by following and taking advantage tech trends, buzz words, etc.
3. Use Facebook for domain name ideas because it’s a goldmine.
4. Shorter domain names always have value i.e. less than 10 characters.
5. Creative word combination is the way to go now. Continue to play on words and if you don’t have physical dictionary and thesaurus, go online.

We'll all arrive safely!

Hello everyone, please I'm really confused here. My girlfriend is a choir member and I find it really weird for her Choir master to always pay her a visit and mostly at night. He stays till like 11 pm before going. Now the thing is she's not the only girl in the choir but he visits just her. It's annoying and at the same time stupid.

Visiting her is one thing but staying up till 11 pm is stupidity on it's own haba. He does this like literally everyday. I trust her a lot but I don't think it is right to have him always coming over and staying late. Sometimes I'll call her and she'll tell me we should talk later because her Choir master is around... WTF!!!

Pease is it right or wrong? I'm confused really.

Abeg help me I need answers please

Yes, you can register it if it has potential end-users you can contact for possible sale. There is business idea behind the domain name which you can project before your target buyers. A lot of buyers out there don't even know they need keyword domain name until you tell them. A domain name without way back archive or history of previous web activities is possibly going to be hand registration.

Emeraldfynest:

For a first timer how one go about this online biz.

As a first timer, what is your observation? What strategies have you come up with? Let's start from there!

Alexxien:
What a strange month, e be like say all this endusers Dey vex gan oooooo . Something strange happened to me Last week Thursday. So around 6-7pm on Thursday, I received a call from U.S to my US Number; thinking it was an end user, I hurriedly picked the call. My thought at that moment was, by all means, I will nail this deal . Next thing I heard was "This is US marshal". Instantly, the domain name fly commot for my head . This cannot be good . I use style dropped the call. They call back I did not pick it, they later dropped a voicemail . I opened the voicemail and listen to the message . In quote " This is US marshal from the US justice department, your number as been reported for online fraud by another citizen, you are to come before the US justice department on Monday before 9:00AM, failure to do this will result in serious persecution. Thank you." After listening to this again ..
Na so I just jejely uninstall my Dingtone, throwaway the number.Remove battery for my phone till next week Sunday . Well, it Friday now and am still in Nigeria, I guess marshals isn’t coming for me . But seriously All this endusers wicked gan oooooooo, so them come report person to court because of domain name, so if I Dey US now, I go dey find money to get an attorney that will save my ass…….This biz maddddd gan ooooo.

You don't have to throw away your US number. You subscribed to Dingtone legally as a service. Except you contacted potential end users without following fair online marketing practices, it's only Dingtone that have a case to answer and not you.

U1:
My people, could you share how long you have gone without a sale and what you did, if anything, to break the cycle?

This "drought" is somewhat troubling. Most leads open emails and even click links but nothing afterwards. Discounts don't seem to excite them either - including those that previously showed interest.

Yet, I thought the quality of names acquired this year is better than before. This thing taya me o.

I think Ikhalyfah once wrote his longest time without sale was about three weeks. This one is over 30 days already.

everyone (the list is long; can't remember all now)

This is a wonderful question that I would like to write an ebook to comprehensively answer. When I started domaining (it's my first love online anyway), I did a comprehensive business plan of how I wanted to replace my monthly salary with my online business income. I did four things concurrently within 3 months time frame.

First, I started reseller web hosting company and started advertising in Nigeria newspapers. My first customer was a road safety staff who became my long-standing friend till today. Second, I was successfully buying and selling domain names because I never stopped learning from all nooks and crannies of the internet. Third, I was building Google Adsense monetized and affiliate blog websites.

Fourth, which is the icing on the cake was that I started freelance writing business on the side. I remember this like yesterday. It was in warrior forum. I asked a guy for an ebook on website flipping and/or investing because I was not having PayPal account to pay for it. He said no and I suggested to write SEO articles for him as trade by barter. He agreed and later thanked me for the good articles. From thereon, I was opened for business in providing freelance writing services. All these happened within 90 days using the SMART principle.

Personally, I love time freedom and not just financial freedom only. So, I always work against "financial drought" in every business I venture into no matter the cost to get it right. If you've an ice cream business and a shop selling umbrellas and rain coats, you'll make sales both in dry and raining seasons. I rest my case!
