I bought a name for a project (my site). Since i started building and linked to hosting, I've been getting mail alerts of people signing up, probably from previous site. Don't even know how this is possible. Is it backlogged or current signings? Please that's my first question.
Also, does this mean the name will have positive impact on my ranking when i launch?

P.S: Former site was a directory site.

1. It's pending sign ups from previous owner since you've not set up an email marketing software for that.
2. It will have positive impact if and only if you're in the same niche market like the former domain/website owner with similar product or service to promote and sell.

Notes:
-You can use wayback archive to have a sneak peek of what the former owner did and then recreate it if possible; but assuming he was doing something right. Otherwise, he would not have abandoned the geese that is laying the golden eggs except unexpected events happened.
-You can look at the backlinks profile as well to quickly ramp up your website authority for your target money keywords.

LizXo///king would have been better. Xo means "love." So, if you're professing your love to Lizzy through the domain, you would have find a buyer but it's taken. However, because it's 5-letter, you can be lucky with it. Did you find potential endusers or companies that could use your domain name before registering it?

Basic steps for successful domaining:

1. Get an idea for a domain name for sale,
2. Use Google to research companies, partners, individuals, etc with financial muscle and interest to buy your domain,
3. Evaluate the domain name again with respect to the characteristics of a good domain name, namely radio test, commercial value, shortness, keyword rich, trend/market compliant, not prone to spelling mistakes, uniqueness with few but inferior alternatives, no trademark infringement, etc.
4. Check similar domain sales to understand comparable prices they were sold so that you don't set your expectations too high or shoot yourself in the legs for selling at a low price,
5. Go to your registrar and register the domain name,
6. Set the name servers immediately as you get a domain name,
7. Go to your preferred marketplace and list it. If you're a beginner, start with low pricing to have lots of bites so that you get quick cash to increase your domain portfolio. The more, the merrier! Sometimes, it's a game of numbers and sometimes it's a game of quality. Head or tail, you should have the type of domain name that one or more people want.
8. Hit the pavement and market the domain names to your potential buyers who you identified in item 2 above,
9. Get offers, accept and move on,
10. Remember grace works with this business but not in vacuum. Grace is unmerited favor that favors only action takers or those who have the burning desire to succeed!

Hi fam, I'm having serious issue getting my money from Zenith. Since 12th of this month that I transferred money from my payoneer account to my Zenith bank account.

I was called to come with authorisation letter, which I did, yesterday I went there to how far, I was told that the money will be release today.

I called now when I didn't see alert, only for them to be asking me for telex copy.

Issue now is, I have tried to get in touch Payoneer but I did have there customer support email. Their contact us link only lead to FAQ page.

Any with previous experience?

To my chagrin, Zenith Bank forex receipts on behalf of bank customers is so appalling and nauseating to say the least. They are notorious for asking for telex copy or receipt. I wrote something about Zenith bank on this thread years ago. Everyone doing legit business and expecting to receive dollars, etc here in Nigeria should stop using Zenith Bank. Their ego is arcane to modern and swift business practices.

I feel for my great pal, @gentlewind, because we've been on it for sometime now. Your suggestions may throw more light on the way forward.

I don't send bulk mails, I send individually and sometimes I will send to myself to be sure it doesn't end up in the spam. I also have trackers, showing that up to 50% are opening the mails.
1. I use Gmail (can this be a problem)
2. I use scrappers to get CEOs emails, I also get emails via YP
3. I use to modify the templates with my knowledge of copywriting
What's else can I do, or these end-user wan make I change it for them?
Even squadhelp no dey help matter, they bundled my 3 domain names back to me today.

Registered since 2004. Or he would have registered SexyStyleBrands.com i.e. with an "s" so that the buyer can use it for products review for multiple brands. Beginners should have a business ideas(s) for every domain name they wish to register and sell for profit. You're proposing and selling a domain name to a potential buyer so that it can add to his bottom line. Anything short of this will hit a brick wall.
