This is the secret of the business that some people don't know. If you get name with good SV and CPC.....It will probably sell faster because it help the buyer to cut their marketing expenses.

Yes, in my early days here I emphasized on this because a search term domain name with high search volume and CPC is an asset to the discerning business owner who don't want to go pay per click route.

I bought a name for a project (my site). Since i started building and linked to hosting, I've been getting mail alerts of people signing up, probably from previous site. Don't even know how this is possible. Is it backlogged or current signings? Please that's my first question.
Also, does this mean the name will have positive impact on my ranking when i launch?

P.S: Former site was a directory site.

Please anybody with knowledge on this.
Cc IdeasPro, Priceaction, and everybody knowledgeable on this.
Thanks!

1. It's pending sign ups from previous owner since you've not set up an email marketing software for that.
2. It will have positive impact if and only if you're in the same niche market like the former domain/website owner with similar product or service to promote and sell.

Notes:
-You can use wayback archive to have a sneak peek of what the former owner did and then recreate it if possible; but assuming he was doing something right. Otherwise, he would not have abandoned the geese that is laying the golden eggs except unexpected events happened.
-You can look at the backlinks profile as well to quickly ramp up your website authority for your target money keywords.

I think I'd rather pick lixzo or even lyxzo than lizxo

Why do you think lizxo/com was registered first? I am ready to learn.

Crazeworld:
For those with GTB domiciliary account, please did you buy dollar from aboki and deposited physically before being able to use the account because I'm not understanding this message.

you can receive wire transfer straight after your account is opened

fergusen:
Judging by pronouncibility,
I actually think Lixzo is better.

Not a fan of such names sha.

Usability cum word arrangement over pronouncibility. "Liz" means "God's promise" and then combine it with "Xo" which means "hugs, kisses, love". All in all, beauty is in the eyes of the buyer.

Foreigners:
Funny though...

This guy attacked the thread and evryone is attacking him from all Source of angles..

But assuming he asked genuine question, 95% chance that all his attackers will ignore him..

Yes, you're very right. But do you know that love does not unite people together like the common hatred of something? EndSARS is an example!

sol4luv:
Boss in the house is this name good for Brandable Lixzo//king. i hand reg it yesterday just trying my IQ capacity. Kindly review

LizXo///king would have been better. Xo means "love." So, if you're professing your love to Lizzy through the domain, you would have find a buyer but it's taken. However, because it's 5-letter, you can be lucky with it. Did you find potential endusers or companies that could use your domain name before registering it?

Basic steps for successful domaining:

1. Get an idea for a domain name for sale,
2. Use Google to research companies, partners, individuals, etc with financial muscle and interest to buy your domain,
3. Evaluate the domain name again with respect to the characteristics of a good domain name, namely radio test, commercial value, shortness, keyword rich, trend/market compliant, not prone to spelling mistakes, uniqueness with few but inferior alternatives, no trademark infringement, etc.
4. Check similar domain sales to understand comparable prices they were sold so that you don't set your expectations too high or shoot yourself in the legs for selling at a low price,
5. Go to your registrar and register the domain name,
6. Set the name servers immediately as you get a domain name,
7. Go to your preferred marketplace and list it. If you're a beginner, start with low pricing to have lots of bites so that you get quick cash to increase your domain portfolio. The more, the merrier! Sometimes, it's a game of numbers and sometimes it's a game of quality. Head or tail, you should have the type of domain name that one or more people want.
8. Hit the pavement and market the domain names to your potential buyers who you identified in item 2 above,
9. Get offers, accept and move on,
10. Remember grace works with this business but not in vacuum. Grace is unmerited favor that favors only action takers or those who have the burning desire to succeed!

You'll succeed and make money online!

therealMcCain:
That is where you are getting it wrong, for every place where "Geo domaining was properly touched" it was done in response to a question, it didnt just fall from the sky

Either the person was responding to a question or responding based on a series of repeated question over time or was done to clear a misconception.

Reading the entire thread is not a waste of time, manages your expectations, it gives perspective, history & helps you to know who the veterans are

Right now can you list 5 persons you can reach out to via DM, who are authority in one way or the other?

Can you tell those who are approachable or who are blunt when giving their counsel?

Do you know who you can trust with your unregistered domain name & not loose it the next minute?

Those who have been reading can say yes to all these question.

Even if you do a paid class, you must read. It is a must.

There are things in this thread that is unique & tailor made for us with regards to us being nigerians, there are challenges we face as a result of our location & this is where you get tips & tricks to resolve it. You won't see this on namepros

If you cant red from page 1, read from January 2020 post till date.

If you choose not to, no problem

Experience/frustration will humble you, it will either make you read or quit.

For those that know me, this is me being Nice.

Spot-on!!!!!

gambit24:
No one is disputing the importance of reading here, but fact is one can only read so much for God sake it's easy for you all to sit and say read the whole thread but common it's not like every thing on here is information that has to do with domaining most post are people convasing, advertising, trolling and requesting for help so what's now wrong in wanting to read the important information and be done with it

My great pal, do you know and realize that hard work is not hard labour? Reading through all the thread will empower you and help you to sift the grain from the chaff. Besides, you'll be able to put your fingers on who and who to direct your questions to. Be empowered for success and greatness. Favour for labour!

Don't blame her. She is avoiding temptation. Or she don't want you to find out that she is very wild down there. Just Saying

What temptation? She should refuse all the gifts too because temptation starts from there.

Confidentiality agreement between a client and a lawyer just zoomed in and out while reading this.... Sad story but is he supposed to divulge such information?

Okonjo Iweala can get the plum positiy on the strength of her candidacy and experience, moreover, it's still early in the day for the new US President to get distracted with who become the next DG of the WTO.

Which one be your own na? You wan delay success for this erudite Amazon?

EronzRichie:
Oh yes, That was hasty. Apologies to all members for insulting the 'hustle'

It was coming from the heart of someone who desperately want a 'sale' but i know better now.

It's well! A confused mind will always say, NO!

EronzRichie:
I had to drop this 'hustle' and said to myself that these sales report must be 'Scripted' expect for the ones that had pictures.

Fortunately, ordinary people like you have been using the "scripted sales" to enjoy life to the fullest and travel all over the world. A shrewd entrepreneur will always conduct his or her due diligence of any business idea before coming to hasty conclusions.

gentlewind:
Hi fam, I'm having serious issue getting my money from Zenith. Since 12th of this month that I transferred money from my payoneer account to my Zenith bank account.

I was called to come with authorisation letter, which I did, yesterday I went there to how far, I was told that the money will be release today.

I called now when I didn't see alert, only for them to be asking me for telex copy.

Issue now is, I have tried to get in touch Payoneer but I did have there customer support email. Their contact us link only lead to FAQ page.

Any with previous experience?

Thanks

To my chagrin, Zenith Bank forex receipts on behalf of bank customers is so appalling and nauseating to say the least. They are notorious for asking for telex copy or receipt. I wrote something about Zenith bank on this thread years ago. Everyone doing legit business and expecting to receive dollars, etc here in Nigeria should stop using Zenith Bank. Their ego is arcane to modern and swift business practices.

I feel for my great pal, @gentlewind, because we've been on it for sometime now. Your suggestions may throw more light on the way forward.

lloydtruth:
I don't send bulk mails, I send individually and sometimes I will send to myself to be sure it doesn't end up in the spam. I also have trackers, showing that up to 50% are opening the mails.
1. I use Gmail (can this be a problem)
2. I use scrappers to get CEOs emails, I also get emails via YP
3. I use to modify the templates with my knowledge of copywriting
What's else can I do, or these end-user wan make I change it for them?
Even squadhelp no dey help matter, they bundled my 3 domain names back to me today.

The hard truth about success in any endeavor is persistence. There is a tipping point where everything starts coming together. It comes with time, patience, experience and never-give-up spirit. You're already there sooner than you expect!
